Just spent the week end at Nox Richmond and have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised - the room was super clean, cosy, nicely decorated and the river view was stunning. The customer service was great and I should be back soon!

The worst experience I've ever had. Looked like Cocaine in my room around all the plugs and switches by the bed, pubic hairs and toe nail clippings in my bed, the mattress was so awful when I sat on it I hit the floor, laundry stained with green stains, coffee cup not cleaned, headboard hanging off the wall, heater smelt of smoke when turned on like it was burning and the seal on the bathroom door was broken. This all in one room at Kensington Nox and it's not the first. The reception staff especially the Ukrainian women were awful with no customer service skills and laughed when she was asked to deal with the issues. Her answer was email manager no manager until Monday and then just ignored me when I decided to check out. I booked a room in the Hilton just a few minutes away which was much more suitable and where service counts too.

After emailing the manager he and the receptionist concocted a story that she was firstly abused and then in an email to a colleague he claims she was seriously assaulted which should be all on the CCTV but didn't happen and was threatening to go to the Police well I'd say go there and you should have done so on Saturday morning when I left with a colleague and went to Hilton. CCTV never lies and this shows how the Manager manipulates and lies. Both my colleague and I think the manager knows how bad and tired these properties are and he gets your money and then wants to charge you for things that didn't happen or fails to refund you for his failings. It's the worst place I've ever been in my life. If I can I'll upload the pictures to let you see it all.

Please please do not stay at this very poor hostel or its sister sites. You can see from the photographs I took all the issues tried in the aforementioned.

We initially reserved a stay for four nights but were compelled to leave early and seek alternative accommodations, marking it as our most unpleasant hotel experience to date. The room was incredibly small, offering barely enough space to maneuver or open a single suitcase. Furthermore, cleanliness was an issue, with noticeable black dust on the bed sheets. The bathroom was so cramped it could hardly accommodate one person, lacking hand towels and providing only one towel per person without any toiletries. There was NO hot water for shower! Additionally, there was a complete absence of wardrobe space for hanging or storing clothes.

Had a great stay at a couple of NOX Hotels in London. The vibe was welcoming right from the start, and the room nailed the comfy yet chic thing perfectly. The locations in each were super handy for getting around the city too. They made my London trip extra special. Highly recommend!

I had planned to stay for New Year's Eve, but unfortunately, all Eurostar trains were canceled due to the floods. When I contacted the hotel to explain this situation, one that was beyond my control and affected thousands of people, I was met with complete inflexibility. Despite the storm leaving around 30,000 people stranded, the hotel chose to prioritize profit over understanding.

I requested a refund or even a change of dates, but both were met with a flat 'no.' Their policy of 'non-refundable and non-transferable' offers no consideration for unforeseen circumstances, whether it's a crisis or a personal emergency. It's disheartening to witness a business prioritise profits over their clients.

I caution anyone booking here to be aware that valid reasons for postponing or refunding your reservation seem non-existent to this establishment. It's disappointing and frankly unacceptable for a business to operate without any sense of flexibility or humanity.

Amazing stay - I don’t understand the previous negative reviews, the room I stayed in was recently refreshed, maybe they are under new management?

My second stay! Everything was perfect and it looks like everything has been fully renovated since my last stay so it was so much better!

Perfekt läge på Queensway i Bayswater, med två olika tunnelbanelinjer och flera busshållplatser nära, liksom gångavstånd till Notting Hill och Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. Små fräscha rum med sköna sängar och med bra tryck i duschen. Vi bodde där för sju år sedan också och var lika nöjda då. Snett emot finns ett bageri som erbjuder härlig frukost (nybakade croissanter, yoghurt, mackor, kaffe,färskpressad juice. Alldeles intill finns Bella Italia som erbjuder engelsk frukost (med vita bönor, bacon, korv etc)

Very disappointing experience. The room had a strong sewage smell, we had to leave immediately and not stay there, we informed the hotel and they refused to provide a solution. Charged for the service we didn’t receive and said it is the “normal standards” is it normal to have a sewage smell in the rooms???

Avoid this hotel or go there if you want to have the worst experience at a high price!

Horrible service! Reception and staff in another building. Dirty rooms and rude receptionist! Kept my deposit as well! AVOID AVOID AVOID

Tiny, Cheap and Nice hotel with friendly staff.
Noxhotel - Hydepark is located in beautiful surroundings with lots of life and restaurants, near Hydepark. We would love to come back.

I was appalled when I realised I had been sleeping on a dirty stained mattress/cover for two nights, the toilet seat was also loose and there was a hole in one of the towels (see images). On the first night I did not notice the stains; but when the bottom cover became adrift on the second night I noted the stains, but it was too late to inform reception, so I made best of it and as such did not have much sleep the second night.

The following morning I immediately notified Vidmantas on reception who came up to inspect, he mitigated that the larger stain was make-up and I commented that the smaller stains looked like blood. He then said he would see to it that the mattress cover was changed. We are still in the middle of a pandemic; how could a credible hotel group allow this to happen? It’s disgusting.

When making a written complaint to the hotel the reply was not even signed. The anonymous person then offered me 10% off my next stay - what an insult. Their reasoning was that I had not made the complaint until the final day. How did I know I was sleeping on a filthy contaminated mattress and was unknowingly putting my health at risk? I had also requested the email address of one of the CEO’s but was refused.

However, I did a little bit of research myself after discovering that many of Noxs’ reviews on TripAdvisor were appalling. Aaron Lawee is listed as a director but with no email contact address. A Mariana Rusu is also listed as the current Nox general manager on Linkedin but with no contact email address.

The company denied any record of the receptionist inspecting the mattress/cover.

They need reporting to official bodies. They shame our country.

This is a rebranded hotel that failed during the pandemic. Nox have no head office. They do not give refunds when they are unable to fulfill the terms of their booking contract. They do not comply with British Law for distance selling refunds. Avoid at all costs.

Totally OK. But not recommended for quarantine.

TINY, but nice room. Extremely hard bed. High ceiling gives the illusion of more space. Practical closet kitchen with a fridge, hob, sink, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. VERY nice shower in a tiny bathroom. Bathroom had a sliding glass door which we could not close completely, required headphones to keep the romance alive.

All in all, totally OK.

L’hôtel a refusé de me rembourser alors que je ne pouvais pas voyager en raison du COVID 19. Ils ont refusé également d’échanger les dates. Ils m’ont pris 200 euros alors que je n’ai pas pu séjourner chez eux. UNE HONTE. Je ne recommande pas du tout.
