Northern Arb Supplies.....mysterious company that has the power to disappear when contacting their customer service department. I used their own search facility to order chains for my saw which, once delivered, turned out to be incompatible. No reply to my emails, no easy method to return items either. Very, very poor.
Order and payment for my order was accepted on 3 July 2021. Nothing arrived. I called on 16 August and was promised the goods this week but still nothing has arrived. Please can someone contact me and send the trousers as ordered. Tel Tissington Estate . This is not good service.
I write again on September 3rd and am still awaiting the items I paid for on 3 July. There was a problem with 'the accounts department NOT paying the supplier'. No hint of an apology. Appalling service!
First class level of service and communication
I have ordered 2 of Rotatech B2 76 Drive Links Full-Chisel Chainsaw Chains and they are 100% and very fast free postage, Good work northern arb supplies
Terrible company to deal with. I've been in the business for 24 years and have never had any issues with suppliers like Honey brothers or buxtons. These send out the wrong item then will not return it. use others not these Gypsies
So I ordered some trousers which appeared to be in stock, to which when I inquired when they'd be delivered I was told they were not in stock, and wouldn't be untill the end of February. Not great as needed them urgently. I gave them two stars as the customer service I received was top notch. Really quick replys to my emails and they refunded my money super quick. So can't fault that. But all in all if you want to buy something with confidence its going to be in stock and your going to receive your product in good time shop somewhere else!!
Ordered two ropes from them this time last year and was still waiting nearly 2 months later. Got fobbed off numerous times and when they finally arrived they were the wrong kind. When I sent them back they had trouble locating them and had the cheek to ask me for proof of postage. Good job I kept it. It's a marvel they are still in operation with this kind of customer service.
Shockingly bad customer service. Ordered 4 items rang a few days later to chase the ‘next day delivery’ to be told an item out of stock do order delayed, he agreed to send part order that day....waited another couple of days, rang again, was promised a call back and didn’t get it. Rang again, spoke to a girl who is either being deliberately slow to stall customers or realty cannot be ar@@ed. Now told yet another item out of stock. This was for my son’s birthday now I’ve wasted a week waiting!! Forget it I’m off elsewhere
There’s a odd method of tax calculation, so I asked why. No response. I asked again, no response. I raised on Facebook, had a response without resolution. Why can’t people respond ? Obviously business is so buoyant you don’t need to provide any service. Eventually people will take the business elsewhere and I’m sure you will say, it’s not fair to go to Amazon or other supplier. Good luck then as I’m off elsewhere.

After waiting 10 days for an item expected in 2-3days I emailed to say deliver or cancel, heard nothing for 3days so called to be told the item would arrive in 2days, two days later I got an email cancelling the order and refunding money. Only used this company on 3 occasions last two times service has been unacceptable... now unsubscribed so no longer a problem to me.
This type of company is the reason why people end up buying from Amazon. Items out of stock but not mentioned on their website. Happy to take your money and leave you waiting for delivery. This kind of bad practice doesn’t deserve to get people’s business. Be careful how you treat your customers you will reap what you sow.
If I could give a 0 I would and I wish I had read their reviews on Trust Pilot before ordering from them.
Placed order 16.02.20 and when it hadn't arrived 10 days later I called to chase and was told the order had been received but not sent out so I asked for a refund of the £6.50 delivery charge. Another 6 days later and I still haven't received the order and following a second chase have now been told the item is out of stock and they don't know when it will be in!
Will be getting a refund. How can companies operate like this in today's world of next day delivery and customer satisfaction priority?
Awful company ordered a hard hat 20 days ago still waiting paid £6 delivery to get it straight away. Tried getting in contact in many ways nobody wants to talk think will have to get my bank involved. If they were reliable I would use them for my workers ppe but no chance now.
Placed order by phone for items I needed urgently. ‘I was told they were all in stock and would be shipped next day. Paid for 24h courier. A week later, nothing. Now they tell me that they were waiting for one out of stock item. Further 2 days, still nothing. Phoned on several occasions, the person I needed was always on another call and I was told he would call me back but he never did. Eventually, I asked to speak to person in charge and was put through to a lady in accounts who was the first half-way sensible person so far.
After this, a package eventually arrived (now 10 days after supposed 24h delivery) but one item (Stihl felling wedge) was not as ordered and had been substituted with an unbranded item. No invoice provided by email or with goods. Have telephoned again to chase invoice and was sent a document listing items ordered, together with prices and delivery, but otherwise a blank sheet with no company information. Following email request, I was eventually sent a proper invoice.
This was first time I tried Northern Arb Supplies and will never do so again as I haven’t dealt with a company this hopeless in ages
Purchased two chains using their guide.Chains arrived late and wrong had to contact more than once just to get a response still waiting about five weeks later.written of now so I cant compare the chains but have to say they are obviously more expensive than any other chain that I buy because these don't fit so therefor not of any use to me.
