My experience with Nobel Lagoa has been…
My experience with Nobel Lagoa has been extremely disappointing.
The level of bullying has been extreme, and in my view the school has not dealt with it properly. For a school presenting itself as a British International School, I expected a much safer, more structured and more respectful environment for international children.
Another major concern is the teacher turnover. I have lived in four countries, and I have never seen anything like it. There has previously been an amount of teacher turnover that is simply not normal, with many teachers only seeming to stay for six months to a year. Many appear to come with two or three children, who receive completely subsidised fees, and then move on. This creates instability for students and gives the impression that the school is constantly trying to patch over deeper problems.
I also have serious concerns about the special treatment of the “National” section children. They seem to be allowed to mix and roam anywhere they like in this “International” school, and from what I have seen they only seem to cause problems with the “International” children. I have no idea why they attend a British International School if they do not like British children or the British international environment.
Overall, I would not recommend Nobel Lagoa. In my opinion, the school has serious issues with bullying, instability, inconsistent standards, and the way it treats and protects international students.
