I had Andy Orlowski as my driving instructor in Colchester. He helped me with improving my confidence and not only feeling test ready but feeling ready for driving by yourself after passing your test. I highly recommend Nayland driving school, there is nothing to fault about it.

Andy was a recommendation to us from a number of other parents and we now know why!
He is the warmest of people and the most competent of instructors, providing a perfect environment for learning to drive and passing your test successfully!

He is patient and knowledgable, and has a great knack of building confidence in a safe and measured way.

My son passed successfully with him, but most importantly I know he has the skill set to be sensible and safe on the road the way Andy has taught him.

My son was always relaxed with him during lessons and really enjoyed the learning experience ( and the chats …!)

When my youngest’s time comes to learn I will not hesitate to use Andy again.

Sally was always so kind, patient, and supportive throughout our lessons. She explained everything clearly, never made me feel rushed and really boosted my confidence when driving. At the time of my test I felt completely test ready and can’t recommend her enough.

Andy has now taught my son and my daughter to drive successfully with both of them passing first time. He adapted his teaching style to each of my children, teaching my daughter with patience and kindness and filling her with confidence, and addressing my Son’s over confidence and helping to understand the dangers of speed and driving in general. Andy really is an exceptional driving instructor and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Just two more Children to go now and I will not be looking anywhere else for an instructor!! Thank you!!

I had Tracy Mendrys as my driving instructor and she was an absolutely fantastic! She was incredibly patient, knowledgable, supportive, and gave me a lot of encouragement when I was nervous and unconfident in the beginning.

Thank to Tracy and her excellent teaching, I was able to pass my driving test first time and I honestly can't thank her enough for everything she's done for me.

I would highly recommend Tracy Mendrys to anyone looking for a driving instructor. She truly has all the qualities and characteristics to shape a learner driver into a confident one.

I started learning to drive with Paul in January, and I honestly didn’t have a clue what I was doing at first. From the first day, Paul was incredibly patient and understanding even though I was doing the most unexplainable stuff whilst driving. He made sure I was confident and comfortable behind the wheel. Over the past 6 months, he’s guided me every step of the way helping me improve every lesson whilst always encouraging me. Thanks to his excellent teaching and support, I passed my driving test today. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor, genuinely thank you for everything Paul!

My driving instructor was andy orlowski. He was very patient as I was an anxious driver to begin with, if something didn't work he would try a different way to suit me. Overall was a very big help and couldn't be happier passing with him!

All thanks to Andy I passed my driving test first time, due to his patience and brilliant teaching methods. He gave really helpful constructive criticism and made sure to teach me how to drive as well as pass the driving test. Great bloke to chat to as well, making lessons so much more engaging.

Andy was a brilliant driving instructor, taught myself and my brother who both passed first time. Owe it all to his patience and teaching.

Started a lesson last july with an automatic car instructor. Im not gonna drop name but i think the owner knows who I am referring to. Im a first time driver so when I saw their ads like 2 hour lesson but first hour is free, i booked it. On the first day, we only had 1 hour (was expecting 2 hrs) and He kept on explaining/telling me to book and pay for the whole lesson (30 hr and 3 hr on test date) so no one can take my slot since he said he’s gonna take another student incase. I got distracted/excited so here I am, paid and booked all the lessons until September. At first few lessons, it was fine. Instructions were clear. Here comes the exciting part… after 2-3 lessons he started to cancel some lessons. Different reasons of course. At first it was okay since I understand there will be circumstances that we dont expect to happen. But scheduling then rescheduling? And most of the time he comes in late, ending up doing only 1 hour lesson instead of 2 then will schedule again.imagine in november we only had 1 hr lesson in the first week and 1 hr lesson in the last week. To sum it up: what supposed to be 34 hr lesson (1 first day and 3hrs on test date and 30hr regular lesson) booked from july to september ended up with 18x two hour cancellations and 10x one hour lesson instead of two. Its already december and we only had 20 hrs in total. He’s not focused with teaching. like he’s taking personal calls and texting during lessons. On the way home/long drive you can suddenly hear someone snoring. He always ask me (like 3-4x everytime we have our lesson) if I already passed the theory. He’s not keen with your progress. With that 20 hr lesson with him, we only did 1 parallel parking. Already had 5 mins drive and I noticed I forgot to wear seatbelt and he also didnt noticed the alarm because he’s busy with phone. Are the instructors allowed to vape during lesson? I dont actually have a problem with it but i think its not allowed.correct me if im wrong. This review is all about my instructor but since he’s affiliated with nayland driving, its just a warning to those who wants to book their lesson with them. Ask first about the instructor. Thats what i missed before booking with them. Now, Im starting from scratch again. Back to zero. On the positive side, the owner Michael is very supportive and understanding. He personally emailed me and assisted with things that I need. He even helped me find another instructor (independent instructor) but unfortunately I’ve already got trust issues so I didn’t go for it. IM GIVING 5 STAR TO MICHAEL. Im not saying don’t go thru nayland driving, they have a lot of positive reviews as well. Its just not my luck maybe.

This week I have completed a long-term goal of driving myself to work after passing my test earlier this month. Whilst the A14 at rush hour isn’t the most fun I’ve ever had, I am happy to say I couldn’t have felt better prepared. Especially since I began my lessons with low confidence. Thanks a bunch Sally!

Superb driving school especially my son’s instructor Andy Orlowski! He took my son through to a first time driving test pass in just 3 months of training. Andy’s teaching style is second to none, he is patient, understanding, supportive and just a generally nice bloke. Highly recommended, thanks for everything Andy.

Andy is a REALLY good instructor, giving lots of feedback on progress along with help and tips for practicing between lessons before the test.
1st time pass for my son was a great result given the test seems more strict and compact than ever.

Was low on confidence when I started driving lesson but my instructor Paul guided me through to the finish line. Taught me some life lesson on the way. Could recommend him any more.
