SO NOW I NEED OILAND FILTER CHANGE WHEN TO BOOK IT IN AND TYRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT WAS ON NATIONAL TYRE A NEW MANAGER AND YES CASH HIS MADE OUT OF THE SAME MOULD AS TIM HELPFUL FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE 5 STAR AGAIN I WISH EVERYONE WAS AS HELPFUL AS THIS .

Very poor, service booked 3 weeks in advance, 09:00 appt, car not even touched or even "authorised", absolute waste of everyone's time, could not even be bothered to ring and advise of this, certainly wont be going there again, seems like they push lease cars to the back of the queue each time, avoid.

AVOID IF YOU VAULE YOUR MONEY AND TIME: I booked in to BRISTOL Brislington branch for 2 new tyres on the front, plus wheel balancing and front wheel alignment which wasn't even attempted the wheel weights that where on the car when i went in were still the same ones on there when i got it back i then had a phone call telling me the car was done and that they didn't need to do a front wheel alignment as it was spot on already but could not provide any evidence of it every taking place so took the car back to ask why this has been done and also told me the back tire had a fault with the tire pressure sensor which then when i got in to have a look the Tire pressure light was on and they hadn't even put in the correct air as one tire was 29psi and the other was 31psi plus they said it was the back sensor but the only reason it was on was because they didn't even put in the correct amount of air even if they attended to do it a positive to all of this was the customer service team was great and help with this terrible service i have had.
Very slow.
Took them 1:30hrs to change a single tyre. Need I say more…

My wife had two tyres fitted to her car but within a week both were losing air, with job commitments and a family holiday I could not take her car back for at least a couple of months when I called Kyle answered and although very busy booked me in, they checked the tyres and found the Tyre pressure sensors were leaking so Grant showed me the problem and explained what he was going to do. They went polo above and beyond to make sure my wife’s tyres were fixed and we have not had an issue since would I highly recommend.
Use a different tyre company.
Paid for mobile tyre replacement which was a £35 premium on top of the normal price, just to have the wheel not balanced correctly meaning my steering would judder above 50mph. I stupidly went to get another tyre replaced at one of their branches (pre booked with specific tyre chosen) - left the car and went around the local area whilst it was being done just to return an hour later for the car to still be parked outside and told “sorry we’ve got over 400 tyres here and it can be difficult to find the specific tyre.” Waited 2 hours for a pre-booked single tyre change… Pretty sure tyre shops always have hundreds of tyres so no idea how they thought this was an acceptable excuse. Won’t be using National or Halfords again for anything motor related.
Excellent customer service
We turned up today to get 2 new tyres fitted but unfortunately they hadn’t turned up ( not the branch fault as ordered via a third party on line) so was a big disappointment however Adam in the Brislington branch in Bristol was excellent and as I wasn’t wanting to drive around more with a tyre losing air due to a screw he apologised for the inconvenience and advised that not only could he repair the tyre but cancel the order for a refund to be provided and also repaired a faulty value without hesitation and did not charge us a penny now that is great customer service
I told him that when the time comes to replace the 2 front tyres in January I will certainly be coming back to the branch and asking for him to arrange the new tyres for me

Total nightmare
Total nightmare! Do not go to this garage, even if it's the only one available. My car had no issues with the coolant before, but it started leaking after a major service! I asked them to check and help, but they kept ignoring me with various excuses. What they do best is tell you to come back tomorrow, and when you do, a different person is there, claiming they know nothing (as if they don't work for the same company). I completely agree with another review—it's a shame you can't give ZERO stars!

If you want to be greeted by a lazy fascist, then this is the place to be. If you offer a service of changing tyres, then it should not really be seen as a chore that I’m taking time out of your day to do. I would just avoid like the plague and spend your money elsewhere.

Placing the order online was very easy.
Placing the order online was very easy.
Service wise can't realy be happy as I had my tyres fitted on Saturday and on Tuesday my 1st trip to work on to the motorway and the car vibrates when doing 70/80mph.
I see online many people having similar issues after tyre replacement and the most common issue would be wheel balancing or tyre misalignment.
Who knows when they'll be willing to see me again. I'll get in touch with them 1st thing in the morning.
Now I need to spend another morning to see them and hopefully I don't have to pay anything as the car was NOT behaving like this before the garage done the job.

Don’t waste your time
Booked my tyres for 8:30 and arrived 10 mins early as specified. Went into shop at 8:30 to be told they have no managers so can’t do anything til they arrive, asked when they would arrive and got a shoulder shrug! Waste of time

Your Company almost killed me, Front wheel came off as it wasn't tightened!!!!!
I had all four tyres changed at the Bristol branch, Bath Rd. Off I went to Weymouth when I noted a shaking from the front of my car, I look down and check for any lights, nothing as I look up the car lurches to the left as I see the left front wheel go bouncing up the road. I managed to steer into the skid and stop, just before going through a tall bramble, not knowing what was behind it, a cliff, water?? I get out and inspect the damage, wing crumpled, brake disc touched into the road, wheel destroyed on the inside. I walk back along the A38 (fast road) following the gouges in the road, and find three wheel bolts, they hadn't sheared off. I call National Tyres telling them what had happened and come and rescue me. Oh we can't do that, but bring the car back to us. Great, I was finally rescued 5 hours later by my breakdown cover. Whilst waiting I had 3 different Police cars behind me with lights on, as I had broken down in a high speed area and was vulnerable. The Police advised i was lucky, not to have been more seriously damaged and that the free spinning wheel had not gone into another vehicle. The Police remarked that if I was on the motorway and this had happened I would have been killed. Luckily my wife and two children were not in the car. Anyhow, the car taken back with National tyres who state they will fix all the damage, with new genuine parts. ok that's fine, but I want compensation for almost killing me. Oh yes you will get compensation, I replied 'i dont want a free MOT as a goodwill gesture', YOU ALMOST KILLED ME!!! I was told WE to hire car, and they will cover the cost. So off I trot and hire a rental car, nothing extravagant, about £30 a day. After two months (2 months!!!) I get my car back, all good. I was advised they had put a new MOT on it? WHAT! The car wasn't due an mot untill near the end of the month. As directed I sent in my receipts for car hire (around £1600) The last week of car hire was using National Tyres courtesy car, a 68 plate Ford that was disgusting (so much so that I cleaned the inside, finding evidence of a mouse, who had chewed up a lot of the rear carpeting. So now I talk to the area manager (before hand it was two members of staff at the branch, who were simply EXCELLENT. I won't name them but their christian names began with an I and a W, thank you chaps, 100% professional and courteous) Back to the manager, I ask for compensation, we don't do compensation (remember National Tyres is part of Halfords) and as a gesture of goodwill we MOTed your car (see i knew theyd do that, righta the beginning) So I say how is it that a woman whose front tyre was found to be loose, didn't come off, was paid compensation by your company for distress etc. I don't know anything about that, we don't pay out compensation. But you do have public liability insurance, don't you. Well, says the area manager, we could refund the tyres you bought. Wow £250 for not killing me, or others. The area manager has not repaid my £1500 plus car hire nor does he reply to text messages, not once during this debacle have I shown anger etc, I have been polite and understanding. i would have been better off going through my insurance, and having the car written off, at least i would have had some form of payout with national tyres having to cover the costs. Oh, and of interest the person who 'fitted' my tyres was let go the day after the incident. national Tyres are clearly liable but management care has been zero, as mentioned the two branch staff (I and W) were outstanding and really helped ease the issue of delayed parts etc. So, where do I stand now, well I have paid out over £1500 to a company that almost killed me, OK they repaired my car BIG DEAL!!!! But YOU still owe me? I said to the manager if you were agreeable in your liability to me then I would not say a word about your company, either in the press or on social media. You have not been agreeable, you have not paid me my costs incurred. So here is my negative review of your company, warning others of the risks they take, and the lack of compassion they will receive if anything goes wrong.
NATIONAL TYRES: I was never given a work receipt for my four tyres, but I have a pay assist number: Order ID: 2849-209483. Yep, Im still paying YOU!
Otherwise you will have to speak to the Branch at Bath Road, Brislington, or the area manager (Initials MB who does not take my calls, funny that?))

Do not want to do it but be careful…
Be careful when you get tyres from them because they sold me old stock tyres without informing me.
I bought a pair of tyres and received one tyre with an 2021 manufacturer date and a second with an 2022 manufacturer date.
The employee said that it is normal for them to keep tires up to 5 years on the shelf Bristol branch and not have to inform the customer about it with them being "new" (new but old stock).

Excellent team at Brislington National Tyres! The team were so helpful, and friendly - gave great advice and sorted out my tyre problem then and there. My tyre was about to blow! Can't thank them enough - they made sure I was safe. Five stars at least!

Really needed to write a good review…
Really needed to write a good review after using the branch on Bath Rd Bristol a few weeks back. Firstly, as I needed a full set of tyres, and having just spent 4k on some serious engine repairs, I wanted a cheap job, so opted for their Autogreen budget tyres. I fully expected and accepted it would be a complete compromise and settle bar pretty low I mymind, but honestly, these are the most revolutionary tyres I have ever known. The car is smooth, quiet and handles perfectly. Will insist on these from now on.
More than this though, I came needing to exchange and keep a set of winter tyres, so needed them to be handled with more care than a normal refit, and the guys there did a superb job, without any fuss, and really quickly. Also they were really polite unlike another tyre place I used to use, and nothing was too much trouble. So it's now my one stop place foranything tyre related. Brilliant service
competitive prices but feel let down.
great product competitive price quoted and service ease was good when i needed two replacement tyres. Unfortunately on the day staff shortages meant i was waiting far longer than i was expecting to be fair the fitter did advise me of this before he started. Sadly i didn't get the staff to agree the wheels were undamaged prior to them fitting as when i checked them later in the day they were damaged, scuffed imo by the machine which they have denied , not interested in liability. For that reason i wont ever use National (Halfords fitting centers) again.

Drove 40 minutes to them as this is the place which could fit my tyres today... so they said. Hear, hear.
Waited 30 miniutes for them to open as they forgot the key. and when finally in, my booking at 8:30 was for a job at 11 !!! not to mention the 30 minutes lates they had alredy and then the work to align the wheels and fit the tyres.... Very far from the announced expectation of 1-2 hours as claimed on my Halfords booking.

The lads were shutting up shop and i turned up last minute but they wouldn't see me drive off with a huge bulge in my tyre and went out there way to help me out, hugely appreciated on a Saturday when they could have just left me high and dry
