Excellent customer service

Disappointed with the pricing at my local center in Bridgend. My car failed its MOT and I felt I had no choice but to pay their inflated prices to get back on the road. £175 for a tie rod end and £55 for alignment is nearly double what I've been quoted elsewhere. It feels like they capitalize on the fact that your car is already off the road for an MOT. Won't be returning for the March service mentioned on my receipt. Overpriced and lacks transparency on labor rates.

Apparently, the branch I want to use is closed, even though today I passed it twice and guess what? It was open.
Tried order tyres, but according to website the branch which is 2 miles from the housedoesnt exist. Worst part is I know 1 of the mechanics there. Tried 3 times with same results, gave up and went to ATS instead. Tyres fitted same day with no hassle

I had an MOT done at National Tyres & Autocare Bridgend (Halfords) and it was the most frustrating and exploitative experience I’ve had in 10 years of driving.

1. First test – £47.95 – fail (fair enough)

2. Second test (retest) – £27.99 – and suddenly they turned a minor advisory from the first test into a fail

3. Third visit – within the 10-day DVSA retest window – they charged me £44.95 again, claiming it was now a "new MOT"

That’s over £120 for testing alone, despite me fixing everything properly and on time.

On top of that, their original repair quote was £662 for work that I got done for under £200 by a trusted mechanic.

This is NOT how an MOT station should operate. These are scam tactics designed to push people into overpriced repairs and repeated testing fees.

I’ve submitted an official complaint to DVSA and hope others think twice before trusting this company.

Booked our Kia in for a service, phoned my missus to let her know that her front tyres were 1.7 and 2.0mm and would need changing?? When she picked the car up they admitted that the tyres were actually 2.0 + 2.9mm and totally fine, luckily she told them no and she would sort that another time, the person on the phone said they had already replaced the tyres but they would take them off, this was all without a phone call to ask for permission, totally unprofessional and it frankly takes the piss, replacing perfectly legal tyres for tyres costing nearly £350.00, I'd advise looking elsewhere for a garage that isn't going to try and rob you, utterly shameful behaviour, we won't be returning and will advise anyone we can to steer clear.

National Tyres asked me to update my review to include order no. job ref no. which I have done and still waiting for a response. They're not doing themselves any favours as of Monday 24th June I have no option but to issue County Court proceedings to recoup monies lost to the garage in Bridgend , being utterly negligent on two occasions

Would give a zero but no option. Massively overcharged on parts that car failed mot on. Took elsewhere and half the price for the job. National tyres put 3 advisories on(not one of which had any issue whatsoever. Bmw done mot and it passed with 3 totally different advisories(nail in tyre, split in tyre and oil leak)not one off these national tyres noticed. Basically bmw said the issues reported by national tyres were absolute non sense and the problems bmw reported should have been spotted by anyone carrying out an mot that had any idea as to what they were doing!!

I have dealt with this company a few times and found them very accommodating in all ways and would recommend them to anyone as far as my experience with them is concerned
