Do not use this company! Disgraceful!
Do not use this company!! I paid for the car Sept 24, I was told the car would be MOTd and serviced. I enquired about tax to be told that they would provide the details as the logbook & reminders go to them. They did not. I chased again to be told they’d done it and the tax was free on the car anyway. Fine.
the car arrived with a foul smell.
5 weeks after having the car the brakes went and had to be fixed. Upon doing so I contacted the company who then tried to say that under their warranty it wasn’t covered. I pointed out it was. Again, they said due to mileage as stated in their TS & Cs I referred them to their Ts & Cs and showed them that this in fact was not a clause. They finally paid for the car to be fixed.
2 months or so later the car broke down and I had to be recovered and it required a new starter motor. Again unsatisfied that a car id had for a mere couple of months had yet again had issues I contacted the company. After back and forth they agreed to pay some towards.
My last payment was 12th August 2025.
I received my log book and second key 2 weeks later.
First week of September I had a final reminder red letter for tax. Turns out this company had not only FAILED to tax the car as of 1st August 2025 (whilst still in their name) they also FAILED to inform me that a) it was due and b) provide details so I could tax the car!
I contacted them immediately for an apology and a reason this happened - I would’ve been driving around, with children in the car and no tax due to their incompetence.
My WhatsApp’s were ignored. I called but as your number is associated with your account they ignored the calls. I called from a separate number and spoke to someone named MILES who said he’d contact me asap! No response. Eventually I got an email from their ‘Aftercare’ department stating that they are looking into it.
I’ve emailed twice for an update and called again using my and the separate number I used last wk. Both have been ignored. Finally I received this email:
Apologies for the delay, this isn’t intentional.
“We apologise if this has caused you any upset and you feel in anyway let down by our services however although we at the time were the registered keeper, Clause 2.1 clearly states the buyers legal obligations is to tax the vehicle.”
They are ignoring the fact THEY received the reminders not me, that THEY said they sort the tax (even mentioned on their website) also ignoring the fact they never contacted me to provide me the details I would require to purchase tax!
I didn’t contact them for a refund of tax it was £20 I even mentioned that the first time I contacted them, I contacted them for an apology and reasoning behind what they’d done! But instead they are trying to hide behind ridiculous clauses - how can I purchase tax without the reminder number and/or logbook?? Absolute nonsense.
Since then my spark plugs have gone and a coil pack (which I do not expect nor blame this company on - cars break I sorted it) however I only mention it as the garage told me that a service hasn’t been carried out on this car for years - when I said the company I purchased from this time last year informed me it had been serviced I was told ‘they’d do an oil change and claim it as a service - the car requires a service asap’ so they are not even completing the things they state they will.
I have tried to resolve this without leaving this ranting review however when they are REFUSING to acknowledge their mistake and apologise & explain (which is all I was after) then I had no choice!
So my advice? Do not use this tinpot company, not if you want a safe car for you or your family!
