This company is extorting money from customers. There practices of trying to force me to now pay yearly for something I already bought and paid for is wrong. BEWARE OF MONOTYPE.

I would give zero stars if I could. I paid for a subscription and it worked for one day. I have not been able to log in since then. I have worked with customer support to resolve. i spent at least 2 hours to resolve. They just repeatedly ask for screen shots and do nothing else. The MOST USELESS support staff ever. I'm working with my bank to get a refund because this seems like fraud and I have reported it as fraud to my bank.

Would leave no stars if possible. I subscribed to one of their memberships to use a handful of fonts, but I always had trouble accessing them through PhotoShop and constantly had to re-login and troubleshoot. Then it automatically renewed and I lost all access. When I reached out to let them know they said they would look for the issue and get back to me. Three weeks later, still no access so I reached out to cancel the subscription and learned they will not refund a single cent unless you cancel thirty days before the automatic renewal (which they give no email reminder/warning about). After dealing with unpleasant customer service that tried to get me to pay more just to use the font that was previously included in the subscription, I decided to just cut my losses and never go near this company again.

This company is a rip-off. Was subscribed to work for a client and needed there "proprietary font". They renewed my membership with absolutely no notice. Immediately brought this up when the charge hit and customer service would not cancel it even on the same day. They pointed to "you have notify us 30 days before the plan renews." Had not logged in in 8 months.

Die Software ist geradezu grotesk buggy und im Grunde unbenutzbar. Der Support ist unfreundlich und nicht kooperativ. Besser wo anders orientieren.

The Fonts are out of alignment. Customer Service is awful as they use every excuse they can to not help you. The limitations on the use of the fonts on their website is staggering. You will not be able to use the fonts as they advertise.

Customer support took 1 full year for reply to a request to cancel a subscription of over €200 which was made immediately following payment and was never used.
A reply was received after 1 year upon which the money was nevertheless charged in full and the subscript cancelled without ever having been used.
Highly recommend never using this platform.

They emailed several of our employees, falsely claiming to be our account manager(we have no account) and falsely claiming we are using their fonts(we design in-house).

Monotype has been the owner of MyFonts since 2012. It is not clear exactly when, but without alerting any of their customers, this company which constitutes a near monopoly of font sales and distribution, have removed years and years of orders from the MyFonts download page. In my particular case, that represents hundreds and hundreds of dollars.
Those downloads are no longer available.
It is totally unethical not to give clients the opportunity to re-download these fonts before the orders are deleted. I am beyond outraged and bereft.
Monotype used to make the best font management software of all time. First it was free; then they charged for it and everyone was happy to pay because it was good.
Now they've gotten greedy. They killed the app, they bought their competitors, and now only offer fonts and font management as a service: you have to rent them, in perpetuity. It's a power grab, a money grab, it takes away control not just of your font library, but of every project you ever create with that library. Hell no.
I hope everyone does what I'm doing: refuse to give one penny to these unethical monopolists. Never again.

A confusing app. A money and time waste par exellence. Expensive font-licenses which I have to sell in the name of Monotype. I have the work they have all the effort.
More and more expensive, fewer and fewer functions. We pay for licences for web fonts every year. Suddenly, fonts are no longer displayed because they are no longer available from Monotype. When contacting support, they recommend installing their software - doesn't solve any problems, but adds new ones because two font managers don't understand each other.
I will have to look for another solution.
Awful rubbish setup for installation. Also an absolute rip off as well. Look elsewhere!
Signed up for a free trial of this service and quickly realised how terrible it is. Didn't register any bank details however did register with my gmail account so I am now keeping a watchful eye on my accounts to ensure I don't get stung. There is no option to cancel the free trial or administer your account. Wish I had read the reviews on this company before I signed up for the trial. Avoid
I got a subscription to download a font and found out that the download feature "isn't available on my plan".
In the documentation they state you can download fonts but this is NOT true.
I contacted support about this (Pooja) and she said NO REFUNDS since they offer everyone a 14-day free trial.
I did not do a trial. I bought a subscription and within 5 minutes realized this wasn't what I was looking for. Order #4050.
This is such a scam. I'm going to file a dispute with my bank against this company if the issue isn't resovled.
This is unbelievable. The company runs two completely different subscriptions under almost the same name and prices - and if you make a mistake, like I did, which I realized literally minutes later, you still can't get an effin' refund.
So, they have a Monotype Subscription and Monotype Library Subscription, which they advertise on fonts.com (that they own, along myfonts.com).
Some fonts are only available as a part of MLS but not MS. But all of their websites advertise MS, so if you click the wrong link, you get taken to monotype.com and happily subscribe only to then find that the fonts you wanted are not available.
Reasonably, about five minutes after I subscribed, I contacted support to clarify it and asked if I can get a refund or whether they could transfer me to the other subscription so I can get the fonts I use. They're very nearly the same price, and I would be happy to top up any difference.
But no. They told me they don't give any refunds. I haven't even used the damn thing, are you kidding me? I wanted to pay your useless company but then the company screws me over, takes my money and gives me the middle finger.
This is mind-bogglingly absurd in this day and age. Small wonder people still pirate fonts if this is how you treat paying customers.
