Amazing service, great after sales care which sets them apart from other local estate agents. Huge thanks to Andy for finding us a gem!!!

Main complaints:
1. Awful aftersales team who ignore emails
2. The vendor informing EA the sale had fallen through & not being told for a week!
3. Not informing the vendor when I later withdrew my offer

My partner and I viewed a property in Jan 2020 & put in an offer. We dealt with Sam Stone and he was fine at the viewing - apart from giving us incorrect figures when we asked about the ground rent etc. We had no contact with him once the process started and dealt with the after sales team. Email after email was ignored until May when I received an email to say Vicki James had left. This is when I got back in touch with Sam, who was still less than helpful.

In the meantime, I sent a letter to the vendor with my number so we could work together. Everything started unravelling in June when the vendor called and said her vendor was threatening to pull out if the process wasn't finalised ASAP. I worked closely with the vendor to push solicitors. Sam was aware of this.

I last spoke to the vendor on a Friday and messaged her on Monday & heard nothing back. She had been responsive previously so I was worried but waited until Wednesday to text again - still nothing. I emailed Sam to see if he had heard anything, he said no & he would keep trying. Sam then emailed on the Thursday night around 8pm to say he still hadn't heard anything & that he was going to be away for a long weekend & if any of his colleagues heard from her whilst he was away they would call me. I received no call. I called on Monday, however Sam ended up having to take an extra day off. I called twice on Tuesday and he didn't call back. I called on Wednesday and was told he wasn't in. I asked to speak to his manager. I'm not sure if I spoke to his manager or a colleague but I explained who I was & then he said "oh yes, your sale fell through last week" I replied explaining I hadn't been told this & asked when last week did this happen. He realised he messed up and said he couldn't see when they had been notified. Not sure how that's possible?

Let's be clear. The two viable options are:
1. It fell through & Sam was notified before he went away but he didn't tell me
2. It fell through after Sam was on annual leave. One of the team was notified & couldn't be bothered to tell me.

Whichever one it is, is completely unacceptable.

On a side note, the vendor of my vendor actually walked into their office and asked for a valuation and they managed to secure him 40k higher than the original offer. I don't really have an issue with that, business is business. However the fact Sam's colleague tried to turn it around on the vendor by saying "she is really mad at us and is going to blame the whole thing on us but we didn't realise". The obvious deflection from taking responsibility for not telling me my sale had fallen through is ridiculous.

I then text the vendor explaining I heard what had happened and if she could keep me updated on if she wanted to still proceed and find another property that would be great. She was a nightmare vendor and if I could give her a 1* I would. However the fact a reputable business didn't tell me for a week that the sale had fallen through is disgusting.

My partner and I decided we needed to look at other properties and actively still tried texting the vendor to see if she had a update. Sam pulled his finger out and kept me updated even though he hadn't heard from the vendor.

We found a new property via a reputable estate agent and I emailed Sam on the 8th July pulling out. I explicitly stated I wouldn't be messaging the vendor as she had not been in touch for weeks and had messed us around, however I said that I was telling Sam out of courtesy.

I was surprised the vendor didn't message me to try and change my mind. I was even more suprised on 11th August when the vendor messaged me saying that she had secured a property and was good to proceed. I messaged Sam and said I don't know why the vendor doesn't know we have pulled out but I won't be messaging her. I got an email saying he had left the business and emailed the person in the message - Lewis Parker. He emailed me back very quickly saying he thought Sam did tell the vendor but will tell her again. I received a text on 4th October from the vendor who had no idea we had pulled out. I emailed Lewis again and this time received no message back. I did text the vendor and told her. How she spent months thinking we were still going ahead is baffling. However the way Michael Anthony and its employees behave is disgusting.

After working with a reputable company to find a new property and seeing how it should be done, I really would suggest working with any other Estate Agents in Aylesbury.

I'm aware two of the people mentioned in this review have left, however I didn't randomly get the two bad apples in the company. It says a lot that Michael Anthony think this kind of behaviour is acceptable.

used this agent in 2019 and was impressed so used the same agent to buy another property in 2021.no hussles as usual.Thet handled it the way I wanted .and now end of year 2021 .I managed to obtain other properties through Micheal Anthony. I listed my property with Michael Anthony Aylesbury and start with all was good they called each time they had a viewing but after a month they said to lower the price which I did and instantly got an offer under what new price was but acceptable so went ahead.
I was told at the beginning that a house with no chain should take 8 to 10 weeks once sale had been agreed but here I am 25 WEEKS and not heard from them for nearly 4 weeks.
They never keep you informed of how anything is going, I emailed them a list of questions about what was happening and never got a response so phoned 3 weeks later and was told I would get a call on the Friday with an update and I would get a call or email weekly to keep me informed.
I didn't get a call but an email to say it was proceeding but that was 4 weeks ago and have heard nothing.
I have signed the contract and returned to my solicitor but again that was over 2 weeks ago.
They have not done anything for over 3 months and I still don't have a completion date.
I am really disappointed with the lack of support and information from an estate agent with a good reputation.
The person buying the house is buying it as a rental property and I don't need to buy a house as already moved so NO CHAIN.
I would not use them again as this experience has been incredibly stressful and expensive to me.
This is only my experience and hopefully yours will be better.

Michael Anthony Tring are the worst agents I've experienced in my 20+ years of private renting.
They failed to turn up at the property for the ingoing inventory and key handover and, when contacted, had carried out the ingoing inventory earlier in the week without notifying me of the change. They would also not release the keys to me until the following date, despite all their communications (written and verbal) confirming the date I attended as being the date for key handover.
This was an incredibly traumatic experience which caused significant inconvenience and stress, and Michael Anthony Tring made no attempt to resolve the situation in a mutually satisfactory manner. The branch manager was unapologetic and very matter of fact when I contacted them.
Dreadful customer service and an experience I hope never to repeat

Mark Anthony and his team were fantastic in the way that they handled our sale. We had moved from another larger estate agents in Epsom who had been unable to sell our property. Mark put a lot of time into marketing and selling the property and kept us informed of the sale progress at all times and chased solictors/buyers when needed and all for a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend.

I am a professional landlord and this is the 2nd property Michael Anthony has helped me to sell. As a remote owner, they handled everything for me and made sure everything went through quickly and efficiently. Will definitely use again for another property we are looking to sell this year.

Considering that most of the viewings took place during different stages of lockdown, the agents conducted viewings safely and gave us regular feedback which we appreciated during such unprecedented times.

Further into the process it became apparent there were some complications further up the chain. Michael Anthony's sale chaser Vicki stepped in to help us get clarity as to what was going on and to keep the process moving forward. She was nothing short of amazing. We believe if it was not for her hard work we may not be living in our dream home now so we thank her for that!

Furthermore, there were five properties in our road for sale, four of which were with Michael Anthony and all four sold within a short time span.

The list is endless, buying a home is really stressful and you need honest agents to help and support which I didn’t get.

Particularly Ethan Gaulter whom I dealt with, I also had email correspondence from Satpal Panser. Please don’t waste your time and effort with this misleading agency, when I shared my troubles with friends a few had similar experiences, they just want your money and don’t care about you as a person, they do this with dishonesty and manipulation. FACT

The agents were very polite and very active to sorting any requests or problems when they occurred. I would recommend to anyone who wants to buy or sell within their catchment area.

Excellent service, I brought my house off these 5 years ago and I also recently sold it though them. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They are fully accomadting to every situation, they act fast and get you want you want. Massive thanks to the whole team but definitely to Andrew and Tanya.

My parents recently purchased a property in Aylesbury. Tanya was the Agent who helped us with this purchase. She was amazing from day one so helpful and understanding as my parents were relocating from out of the area and do not use any modern technology. Tanya kept us updated with every aspect and was even more helpful than estate agent who was selling their property, keeping us informed on the sale as well. Definitely recommend Michael Anthony.

We sold our house in November and selected the solicitors recommended by the team, We were happy to use them as we had used them in the purchase 15 years previously. The purchaser had to change their solicitor during the purchase and this delayed the process by a few months. The team at Michael Anthony kept us upto date throughout and chased the solicitors of the purchaser constantly owing to the fact that they were not communicating efficiently with any parties. We eventually completed last week and I can honestly say had it not been for the hard work and effort put in by Michael Anthony and the recommended solicitor we would still be waiting. Great team of girls from start to finish. They know there stuff and would definitely use them again.

Just driving through Aylesbury, the amount of Michael Anthony signs you see, especially the ones that say sold, is impressive. It can sometimes be one after the other after the other in a row of houses.

Lewis met with us on about 4 separate occasions and was incredible patient. He got to know us well and then started to find houses he knew we’d love. He was great and sweet and a nice guy to help us through this, and knowledgable on other markets too.

We are going through the sales process and will leave a follow up review when it’s all over.
