The met office has taken away my access to the daily weather information which is essential to my life.
The new version is unclear, difficult to read and eats up my mobile data so that I cannot regularly check it.
Please reinstate the old version of the app.

What has happened at the met office? They used to be able to tell you what tomorrows weather would be like, and the day after. In recent years they struggle to be able to tell you what the weather will be like in the next hour!

What on earth are the met office doing? This new app released in January 2016 is awful, a totally retrograde step. Don't they have testers to try these apps before release? The rainfall map is now terrible, takes forever to scroll through. Also what is the point of stating in the main weather view the percentage chance of rain when you don't say how much? 90% chance of 10mm/hr is totally different to 90% chance of 0.5mm/hr.,..

Beware the video will auto play when you use the app, embarrassing depending where you are and a pet hate for most when they go on any site so a guaranteed unistall for most.

Oh dear, possibly the worst attempt at a weather app ever. The previous app was ok , not the best, but sufficient.

Absolutely terrible set up, difficult to navigate and view.

So bad!! Can not put my overseas locations which have all been lost. The daily overview is rubbish. I wonder how much they were charged for this truly awful “update”.

The refreshed app is so bad, I find it hard to believe that somebody approved it's release. Saved locations are not easily accessed and the rain radar is so slow I just give up and switch the TV on. I have used the previous version every day for many years. Now I am looking for a replacement app. Sorry Met Office but it is time to say goodbye.

The old app and website was great. Now its awful looking and unusable & all my locations have now disappeared. someone need firing.

Wow! This apps dire. Clunky, gloomy looking, impossible to determine which days weather your looking at when you scroll across, due to the dreadful background colour scheme. Who ever designed this app needs to find a new job. Who ever signed this off needs to find a new job. Not only is the redesign dreadful, the weather predictions are still wide of the mark. Mind you, the BBC weather apps predictions are even worse!

The new app is hideous. It has decided I live in another area and will NOT let me default to where I actually live. Harder to read the information too. I can’t think what possessed them to do this. Will be deleting this rubbish and finding a more user friendly weather app

From the best to the worst.
The Met Office have taken a simple, easy to use app interface and converted it into an appalling mess. Whoever signed this off needs to give his head a shake.
I've tried since it came out but have now given up, as with many others I've now deleted the Met Office and app and gone to the BBC.

I am sorry to do this but I agree with most of the other reviews about the new app. It is a shame to see a large organisation make such a strategic mistake in the update to the new app. It's a big step backwards and does not bode well for the future of such a large and valuable organisation. And don't get me started on accuracy. The forecast for the village of Strathdon (at 1000ft), Aberdeenshire is the same for that at the top of Morven (2800 foot mountain nearby)! Their local forecast in the NE of Scotland is very poor, probably due to lack of a local office with forecasters who understand how national weather presents locally. I dare say it's the same throughout more remote parts of the UK. Its such a shame.
And the BBC are no longer using them which suggests there is an issue there?

The old app was clear, easy to navigate, intuitive. The new monstrosity is not user friendly, the colours are dark and hard to see/read. It is extremely clunky to use. It keeps showing a neighbouring town despite me saving my area. No tide times anymore. The designer and whoever decided to bring the new app in should be sacked. If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Spending public money on that app resign? Absolute joke, department needs shutting down. Change is coming.

What a dreadful new version. You had clearly not asked people what they liked, just got some spotty work experience kid to make it look flash. They probably too daft to understand pressure maps so got rid of them. Crazy. Lucky to get one star.

The old app was great, clear and simple. The new app, well, its simply appalling, it's a mess of unnecessary graphics and 'information'. Unusable, had to delete it. Another load of taxpayers money wasted.

New upgrade. Awful. Darkness, complicated. Map is horrendous now, all cluttered with a huge box on the bottom, half the map is missing, trying to zoom in. Why would you do this to a perfectly good app. I'm very disappointed. Whoever designed this needs talking too, sack them. Useless app now.

The update for the MET Office is terrible, it doesn't even give you the right location for where you are now. It now tells me I am in a different Valley, and I have to keep changing it back to the correct location. The old app was much better, this update is total rubbish

Ads for women's underwear on the screen, display too zoomed in so can't see things without scrolling/swiping around. Location not working accurately. Awful. Uninstalled.
