Fantastic customer service from Craig
From the moment we went into the Marsh Barton store and saw Craig, the process of sorting carpets and LVT for our house has been fantastic. Craig has been so helpful and restored our faith in what proper customer service is about. He couldn't do enough for us and because of his attitude we have ended up sourcing all of the flooring and carpets from the store.

Shambles
Couldn't orchestrate a party in a brewery.
Booked two months ago, unfortunately the carpet fitter injured himself and had to rebook. No problem. They I receive 2 separate phone calls checking which day my appointment is as the is a duplicate surname in the diary. The guy I spoke to gave me the full name and address of the other family having their stairs and landing done this week... No awareness of data protection legislation.
When I call to pay, I triple check our appointment and address with them.
The day of our fitting finally comes round... No fitter turns up.
Low and behold, he has gone to the other persons house to do their carpet.
I call to chase this up, Simon calls back, talks over me and is generally rude. I have asked for a discount as compensation for the inconvenience but this is refused as he states that their carpets are already discounted. I have two other, cheaper quotes from elsewhere so I know this to be untrue and will now be using an alternative company.

I understand that you had some time between measuring and fitting due to not having selected any flooring, we then managed to get your fitting booked at short notice. We do accept that human error has occurred and there was a customer purchase with the same surname that was given to the fitter for your date, again we are sorry this occurred and have no excuses but can only learn from this situation. I can assure you we have highlighted the importance of customer details and their privacy to the team member involved, he is very sorry that this has happened.
Our teams have been under enormous pressure the last 12 months and we do appreciate our customers support and patience during this time.
I am sorry that you felt you couldn't accept the fitting date the following week and that you preferred a full refund, that you have now been given. I can assure you that experiences like yours are rare occurrences and we do use feedback like this as areas of improvement.

Market Carpets are amazing - the best we have ever used!
We simply cannot fault this company for the service, cleanliness and help we were given in moving furniture and trimming doors. Nothing was too much trouble. With every carpet company we have ever used, we are always left to vacuum everything, clear up all the scraps and put the furniture back. We couldn't believe our eyes when these chaps rolled out a Henry and vacuumed the new carpets, put the furniture back and even marked the doors where I needed to trim off the bottom. When they left, there was nothing to discard and the place was clean and clear. Amazing company to deal with.

Excellent products, Excellent Service
We've dealt with Market Carpets Exmouth for over 20 years.
They have a wide range of floor coverings of all different kinds. Their prices are very competitive and they give an excellent service. We recently moved house and needed carpeting fitting at very short notice and they managed to fit us in so we had carpets in the main rooms immediately we needed them and they look extremely good as does the wooden flooring in the hall. As well as the fitters, the showroom staff are excellent too. They all have hands on experience of fitting and take time to work out the best way to fit the carpets so as to maximise the appearance whilst minimising waste and therefore cost. All the staff are very helpful but we would highlight Robin in particular as we have worked with him on several projects for many years and he has always been a pleasure to deal with. We would highly recommend Market Carpets.

James, Connor and Darren sorted our mini-lockdown renovation at short notice and with utmost professional attention to detail. I recommend the team thoroughly for a local, friendly service. We’ll be back for the rest of the hotel rooms on a regular basis!

Very Friendly and Helpful
Finding the right price for a rental I'm moving out of was made so simple with Market Carpets.
I'm really grateful for them finding a suitably priced carpet for my use case and for their helpful, friendly demeanour dealing with me at all times.

They did a great job when carpetting…
They did a great job when carpetting our lounge. They fit us in quickly, gave us a great deal on a wool loop pile carpet as they buy it en mass for their warehouse and their customer service was great when I had any queries. They sell eco friendly underlay which is made from recycled plastic bottles and is completely VOC free (unlike foam underlays). The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the fitter used a spray adhesive (which emits VOC's) and we try to limit toxic products in our home due to allergies. The room smelt strongly for quite a while and caused my eyes to itch, but it settled down and we really do love the carpet! Thanks guys :)

Having had my whole house carpeted…
Having had my whole house carpeted before Christmas and finally today my kitchen. I thought that I had to mention how on both occasions the fitters Chris and Lewis today were totally professional and did an excellent job. Nothing was too much trouble. Cleaning up leaving no mess. I had some vinyl flooring fitted on Tuesday this week in our bathroom and utility room. I don't think I've ever taken the time or felt the need to mention this about any other previous floorings we have had fitted over the years. However on this occasion we thought is worth a mention that the man who fitted the vinyl Shaun has done such a perfect job with fitting it in difficult rooms with various units and bathroom furniture in the way that it really was a job very well done. Definitely worth taking the extra time to get it done better than we have ever seen before, cannot find a single bad cut anywhere.

FITTINGLY FABULOUS
Following a devastating house fire, I visited MARKET CARPETS. Despite the store being hectic with customers, CONNOR provided exceptional personal attention. I thought all was lost when 2nd lockdown thundered in, but no! Connor measured my house; brought all samples and followed up with email pictures. The fitter, ANDY ALEXANDER, attended observing all Covid health guidelines. He fitted new carpets and flooring throughout the house without marking a single newly decorated wall or skirting board.
After a devastating fire destroyed my home, Market Carpets provided the final MAGIC in the restoration. Thank you.

Great Service
We have just had completion of lino fitted in our bathrooms by Market Carpets. I would like to thank everyone involved, from the friendly and helpful staff at the Marsh Barton store to Sean the fitter who completed the work. A particular thank you to Sean, who went the extra mile, worked late into the evening, and did a great job. We would have no hesitation in using them again, and recommending Market Carpets to anyone. Great service and support - well done.
We have recently purchased and had fitted carpets by the Market carpet team. We have been very impressed with there service workmanship and communication. Given the challenges that we have all faced as a result of the pandemic this is all the more impressive. Don't get your floor measured by them they will purposely measure it too big and you end up with loads of off cut left over!! floor could of been laid tidier around the edges, rush job !!!

Good morning, thank you for sharing your review. I am sorry you feel we had over measured, without knowing your details I cannot investigate this further. In some cases our suppliers do send us more than what we order or you pay for, as it could've been an end of roll, alternatively if the carpet has a pattern, this can also leave waste to ensure the pile lays correctly.

Fantastic service from the Marsh Barton store. From the sales chap (who was covering from another store), Dan who came to measure, and the two lads that did the fitting... nothing too much trouble, and a truly professional service. I’ve used loads of carpet suppliers & fitters over the years for both personal and business premises. I’ll now be using these guys for any future flooring/carpet needs.

Absolute disgrace
Absolute disgrace. I have screed up the walls (newly decorated), all over the kitchen cabinets, the entire place is absolutely filthy - the presumably mixed the screed inside the house and now my house is covered in a thick film of dust having spent months getting the whole place decorated.

I have spoken to the manager who is dealing with your complaint and we completely accept your comments about the state your house has been left in. I can assure you that this is totally unacceptable from the fitting point of view, we believe the fitter was so concentrated on getting the floor to the perfect preparation state, that he was oblivious to the amount of dust being caused, this isn't an excuse and the fitter has been told and been made aware of this. He was carrying this out additional to our quote to simply rectify the floor in preparation.
The manager was going to come and personally clean the house for you this morning, however we have then be made aware that there maybe a risk of asbestos, the decorator that has been working at your house is in contact with Gavin, the manager and we will be ensuring we can do all we can to make best of this situation. All we can do is apologise again and we will remain in touch.
