Having met with both Jay and Daryl at Mansfield Forward BID whilst in the process of setting up my business in the town centre, I can highly recommend their services.

As a levy payer, you not only benefit from the physical services provided by the BID, but, perhaps even more importantly for someone in my position, you gain access to their extensive network of contacts across a wide range of professions and organisations. As someone new to business in the area, these introductions, contacts and recommendations have been absolutely invaluable.

Jay, Daryl and the wider team have been extremely welcoming and supportive, helping to alleviate many of the stresses associated with starting a new business and establishing myself within the town centre.

The improvements to Mansfield town centre, both completed and ongoing, facilitated by the BID team and their partners are clear to see. Mansfield Forward BID is an integral part of town-centre life and, from my experience so far, a fantastic resource for businesses operating in the area.

I wanted to leave a review specifically for Darrell, who helped me yesterday when I came to look at properties. From the moment we met, he was polite, friendly, and extremely helpful. He took me to see different properties and explained everything thoroughly — from how things work, what to look out for, and details I would have had absolutely no idea about on my own.

Darrell went above and beyond to make sure I understood everything, and I left feeling much clearer and more confident. It’s rare to meet someone who takes that extra time to explain things so well. He is a credit to The BID in Mansfield, and I am so grateful for his help. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for property advice or viewings.

I approached Mansfield Bid for assistance with a feasibility study for a new business in the town centre.
Not only did they possess all the knowledge and expertise I needed but rapidly applied it on my project.
This was done in a friendly and professional way which completed the study in two days when I assumed it would take at least one week.

Daryl was really informative about the services and options available to our Mansfield business. I called the office to ask some questions about refuse options and services within the town centre and he came to see me in my store within the hour to talk. He was professional and had great advice from his many years working within the town, and took my details to send me any relevant things we had discussed afterwards. Thank you Daryl.

I have to pay the bid levy as a business in Mansfield, this is not optional. Do I get the return on my investment… no. There’s a PAT testing service that I’ve asked to use twice. The first year I had to chase them up 3 times, the second time, I’m still waiting 6 months later. They offer a small decoration service which when I used was of a poor standard and rushed. We used to be offered a meeting room for free, this is now a discounted room which is an excessive charge even at a discounted rate. They collect my cardboard waste, this is utilised by my business but I have alternative free options. The events held in town impact my business and actually drives away customers as they are only there for the event and regular shoppers avoid the town on that day.

Spoken to Daryl. Lovely, welcoming and warming chap! Had lots of very useful information, lots of useful links as a buiness manager. Could see the passion for the town and businesses. Looking forward to working with him again!

I had the pleasure of speaking with Daryl today regarding a difficult situation, and he handled everything with such delicate care and understanding. He truly looked after my mental health, and I honestly don’t think I could have got through the day without his support. Not only did he reassure me personally, but he also offered guidance for my business and went the extra mile to ensure my problems were resolved as much as possible. Amazing, I had a few issues which were really concerning and to be fair literally fearing for safety. I had spoken to Mansfield forward BID and what a great response from the main guy Daryl Mcgreade who was a real hand today in helping sort out all my inquiries, these guys need a real appreciation for doing all the outstanding work within the town centre.
