maglight just about sums america up now. looks great, costs to much, zero quality and reliability. maglight are trading on their past reputation. when it goes wrong, and it will its everbody elses fault. never ever buying made in the USA again.

I posted a review on your website yesterday but today I notice it’s down. Ironic, that out of 168 reviews for the ML150LR light on the MagLite site, there are none below a 3 star, yet the other day there were a handful that were posted.

Well, I posted it online elsewhere, this time I corrected some of the inaccuracies and gave more detail. It seems that TrustPilot is the place to go when customers have a “less than 3 star” review and the companies pull them. There are 22 reviews w/the following percentages on TrustPilot for MagLite w/varying reasons:
23% - 5-Star
9% - 2-Star
68% - 1-Star

BTW, I gave it a TWO STAR review simply due to the law of averages (well, sorta). Those that gave me a problem got the lowest score, but I can’t give a 5, 4 or 3 Star rating when the customer satisfaction from sales & management is at level of 2 or less, especially was if it is an intentional dust-off, smoke & mirrors or a smoke enema (look it up, it exists).

As you can see by my profile, I’m not a review junkie. My life does not revolve around supplying reviews to the masses so they can be “better” informed. Straight up, I did this ONLY because MagLite pulled my 2-star review. It’s pretty sad when a company only shows the BEST and goes thru the motions to remove anything that is contrary to the BEST.

I’ve always been a big fan of MagLite (all the way back from the 80s when we carried 6-cell MagLites on boardings, which was our equivalent to a night stick), now I’m not so much. I’m stuck w/three ML150LR lights (one dead) and a spare battery. I guess I’ll ride these two out until they die and I replace them w/Streamlight or Surefire (Made in the USA .. you see, that’s BIG with me, the Made in the USA thing).

This, you can most definitely, pass this up to management; which BTW, I am no longer open for discussion on the topic. They had their chance, now that time has passed.

I’m on the fence whether or not to send my broken ML150LR in for repair due to the dispute that I have w/sales & management. After changing out the battery w/the new one, it is indeed the light that has failed. I purchased the light from the MagLite website over 5yrs ago, the serial number (M20xxxxxx7) should match up to my name & address.

My parting thoughts:
If the MagLite company values its customers so much, then the company should “right” something. All I wanted were my lights in a timely fashion when I purchased them, w/o a 3-6 business day delay in processing and a week of shipping (equals 2 weeks).

So that being said, I’m not looking for “free” goods, but obviously what triggered this whole thing was a defective light, ordering TWO expensive replacements w/a spare battery and then MagLite sales/shipping dept dragging their feet & fluffing me off. MagLite could make good on this by sending a replacement light and me throwing ML150LR, Serial Nr M20xxxxxx7 away, since it’s the controller module inside that’s broken, not the battery, charger or base. And I certainly cannot fix that in my shop nor can anybody else w/o specialized equipment (at minimum, 2M qualified).

The ball is in MagLites court, please advise.

Their new mini flashlight with non replaceable bulbs are crap. Both that I bought lost the negative contact at the bulb end after minimal use. The older version before the usual made to break down upgrade was great. Now I'd say don't waste your money.

They are a big rip off they don't back there warranty and wont answer the phone or emails

Bought four mag lights. One charger didn't work. The company does not stand by their warranty. They require you to send in the broken piece at your cost, so they can review to see if it warrants a return. Reached out to support and management only to be given the runaround with a ton of questions and waste of time. Will never purchase from them again.

Impossible to change batteries when they are stuck, and they are stuck because of the switch on/off system.

Mangelhafte, überteuerte Produkte minderer Qualität. Batterien laufen in den Produkten nach wie vor nach kurzer Zeit aus, aufgrund der schlechten Konstruktion. FINGER WEG. Der Kundenservice ist unverschämt und unprofessionell.

Mir wurde eine nachweislich gebrauchte Lampe geschickt, Bilder und Zeugennachweise liegen vor. Der Firmeninhaber Andreas Lebherz reagiert arrogant und nicht verständnisvoll oder entschuldigend sondern will mich auch noch für Dumm verkaufen. Ein einfaches "sorry wir haben ihnen aus versehen eine gebrauchte Rücksendung geschickt".....hätte gereicht. Aber dieser Typ.... ist der "ich brauche
keine unbequemen Kunden die Fehler reklamieren" par excellence Geschäftsinhaber. Naja egal MAG Lite ist ein gutes Produkt und die Amerikaner werden wissen wie sie mit Andreas umgehen sollten. Deshalb schreibe ich alles noch mal an die Hauptzentrale in Englisch und werde meinen Kommentar weit streuen.

Despite previous problems with Maglite torches, I foolishly purchased a Mag-Tac. Once again, after only a few months of limited use, the switch failed, rendering the torch useless.

Ich rufe Maglite aus wegen der Verwaltung der Produktgarantie. Das garantie ist relativ einfach aber die Wahrscheinlichkeit ist hoch, dass es nicht funktioniert.

Eine Website, die sich dieser „beschränkten Garantie“ widmet, die die Taschenlampe, ein hohles Rohr mit Glühbirne und Netzschalter, abdeckt, verkündet stolz, dass Ansprüche anerkannt werden. Die Wahrheit sieht ganz anders aus: Verweigerung des Austauschs ohne vollständige Dokumentation unter Hinweis auf eine Zeitspanne von zehn Jahren, daher die „Einschränkung“ der „Garantie“, Hinweise zum Austausch Batterien, voreilige Schlussfolgerungen über die Fähigkeit des Besitzers ziehen, Batterien „richtig“ auszutauschen, und den Besitzer so ansprechen, als wäre er oder sie neun Jahre alt. Abschließend bitte ich um Verständnis dafür, dass der Anspruch abzulehnen ist.

Nachdem man nach vielen Jahren eine gute Taschenlampe gefunden hat, landet die Maglite aufgrund der Garantie und der Verwaltung des Produkts leider auf dem Haufen kaputter Elektrogeräte. Fazit: Vermeiden Sie Maglite, das Unternehmen tappt im Hinblick auf die Kundenbeziehungen im Dunkeln.

I have purchased ML150LR(X) MAG CHARGER RECHARGEABLE LED FAST-CHARGING MAGLITE FLASHLIGHT for $120. It doesn’t work. The cradle is crap of cheap plastic. I smell burn on first time battery charging.

I wrote a review describing what happened to me. They are hiding my one star review on the product page to scam potential customer. Tried again, and eventually concluded that they are blocking one and two stars reviews to be appeared to the public. I doubt in their full and four star reviews!

Their customer service is just like ok but there is no sign of cooperation and assistance and really intent to help as you feel when you deal with respective and good businesses.

Please be aware. I think Maglite became something from the past!

My flashlight, brand new, less than an hour use, two sets of fresh batteries, no misuse, started cutting off inexplicably. My first warranty email went completely unanswered. My second email was less than satisfactory, borderline insulting. The warranty is a huge process to send it back at your cost, with again your contact information and yet another description of the problem, to see what they might want to even do for your case. It's costly, time intensive and poor customer service. It's not easy, fast and streamlined. Maglite makes it exceptionally difficult in standing by their products.

Complete Garbage! Buy throw aways because if you buy mag light you’ll be throwing it away anyway. Warranty means nothing to mag light!

I have bought several mag lite flashlight. My last purchase, the flashlight has defective circuits where it blinks. I have sent Mag Lite USA messages and they do not respond, meaning their 10 year warranty does not exist.
I will never again buy a Mag Lite.

why did you guys cancel my order???.you said It could be something like the billing address isn't in the U.S .or we suggest that you contact your bank to clear up any issues before placing a new order. i am using another payment card for order but still its not working .

Bought a very expensive and large Maglite torch. Used one lot of batteries until replacement time came & then the issues came about. I simply cannot remove the large batteries from the torch, rendering it completely useless and for the bin. And No they haven’t leaked & they’re decent Duracell batteries. A complete waste of good money which could’ve been spent on a decent torch elsewhere. I’ve tried prizing them out but they’re stuck flush inside of the torch. I’ve tried scalding hot water (which isn’t ideal) but had to resort to desperate measures to remove them. I’ve tried smacking the torch against the stair case, but as it’s big and heavy I’m worries I will do damage to stairs. If you want a decent torch that will last more the one battery life look elsewhere. No known UK way of contacting them either. POOR! 👎🏼

I have a model ML50L maglite flashlight. The light will not work when it is about 35 degrees F. At this temperature it will come on for a few seconds and turn off. I sent it to the warranty department with an explanation of the problems. They cleaned the on/off switch and returned it, stating that nothing was wrong. I put it in the refrigerator and cooled it down. Still does not work. Guess it was too complicated for the warranty specialist. Good light if you live in a continuously warm climate. Otherwise it is not dependable. Would send it back but don't want to waste another $6.00 in shipping
