I had a blocked drain that I reported yesterday afternoon and Josh from London Drainage turned up today to resolve the issue. He was extremely polite and very courteous. I normally do not just give feedback just because the person asked but I would like to say that even if Josh had not mentioned feedback I would have suggested he signposted to where I could fo this. He finished the job in record timing and did not hesitate to check my neighbours drains either side of me. He deserves to be commended for his work ethic. Well done Josh Sharkey...keep up the good work. Thank you for a job well done.

I had Reece come for an emergency appointment and he was helpful also called to assure me that he was coming and bless him from london to were i was and i cannot be grateful enough for him having to come so far to make sure that I wasn't left like that for the night with a blocked sewage drain also not to mention the manners and kindness i received from reece . Smashed it .

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service provided by Matt Norris, who attended my property this morning to investigate a gurgling noise coming from my boiler.

From the moment Matt arrived, he demonstrated a high level of knowledge and professionalism. He quickly identified that the issue was not with the boiler itself, but with a partially blocked drain. Although the drain wasn't completely blocked, it was restricted enough to cause the gurgling noise. Matt worked diligently to clear the blockage and resolved the issue professionally.

Once the blockage had been removed, I immediately noticed a significant improvement. The sink drained much faster than before, and the water now formed a whirlpool as it emptied, which it had never done previously. Although the main blockage had been cleared, there was still some gurgling from the boiler. Rather than assuming the job was complete, Matt continued investigating and correctly suspected that the earlier blockage had caused the boiler's condensate pipe to become partially blocked. He cleaned the condensate pipe, and the gurgling noise stopped completely.

While working, Matt also noticed the unusual number of bends in the waste pipe beneath the sink. I explained that the property previously had two sinks (one large and one small), and when the new sink was installed, the drainage had been modified, leaving an unnecessarily complex pipe arrangement. Matt recognised that this could cause future issues and requested in his report that an engineer return to reconfigure the pipework properly.

He also noticed that there was still a very slight noise from the boiler when a large volume of water was discharged into the sink. Matt believed this could be eliminated by adjusting the angle of the condensate pipe and included this recommendation in his report so it can be addressed during the follow-up visit.

What impressed me most was that throughout the entire visit, Matt took the time to explain exactly what he was doing, why he was doing it, and what he expected the outcome to be. This gave me a great deal of confidence that the problem was being diagnosed correctly rather than simply treating the symptoms.

I have lived in my house for over 20 years and have dealt with many engineers during that time. I can honestly say that Matt is one of the best engineers I have come across. His technical knowledge, professionalism, attention to detail, perseverance, and excellent communication are a credit to London Drainage Facilities.

Philip Gornam just came out as an emergency service, all my sinks were blocked and i could not use my washing machine as the water was coming back into my kitchen sink and flooding my kitchen. He was very polite, friendly and made sure everything was running well and cleared the blockages in the kitchen and bathroom.

Communicating with me was good, explaining to me so that I could understand was also great.
