Update - 07 October:
1st the +: very fast delivery. Just as promised. I like the bag. Will serve me well. A good edition to my murses.
2nd the - ‘s: strap is too short. I saw others say the same. Lastly, I remain disappointed the c/s contact I had. Definitely impacts my opinion of Lochby.

My conclusion: if don’t care this is a Vet owned company, you’ll be perfectly happy. If you do care, think twice.

Original comment: I ordered my 9.6oz Field Sling Plus because I am am Murse user. The Plus looks like it will be good edition to my growing collection. It arrives early next week. I expect to like it & find it worth the $79 price tag. I won’t hesitate to return it for any reason should have become necessary.

My decision to purchase from Lochby was anchored in the fact that it’s Veteran owned & founded. That’s important to me as I too am a Vet. All that said, I have some negative feelings on this count.

Veteran owned, but they don’t readily offer a Military discount. I had to email 3x before someone bothered to answer my inquiry about a Military discount. It’s mentioned no where ln the website. When C/S service did bother to answer, they told me that I had to send them a redacted copy of my DD214. That’s a lot of work for 10% off. For a Veteran owned company, I don’t feel like it matters all that much now that it is a Veteran owned.

I got tired of waiting for the response to my email about the Vet discount so I went ahead and ordered. So long as I email my redacted DD 214, C/S told me I will get 10% off on all purchases going forward. That has no value to me. The ho hum attitude I experienced with Lochby has already made me decide there will be no further support from this Vet for this Vet owned company.

I paid $79. Got free shipping and a free pen/pencil holder I don’t care about. Maybe, I can repurpose it into a sunglasses holder. If I had waited for my vet discount reply, I’d have saved $7.50. I’m all about my Vet discount and saving money, but I’m viewing the $7.50 I did not save as a shipping fee. It shipped Friday, arrives early next week. If I had waited, wouldn’t have shipped till Monday and arrived on Friday.

They do ship as quickly as promised. So there is that.

If I do make the decision to return, I am hoping they make that a streamlined process.

All that said, I do not anticipated not liking it. Just not enough to jump thru their Vet discount hoop or order again.

I was ready to purchase the pocket journal wallet, when athe website offered me a free 2 pen case. I said yes then it disappeared at checkout. I contacted lochby with an email and screen shot 3 weeks ago, no reply. Their products are good (own a side kick V2 as well), but they don't care about you as a customer.

Love my new Field Journal!! I received it as a gift for my birthday.
It can fit up to 4 A5 notebooks in it and comes with plenty of pockets and a horizontal pen holder. I love the zipper closure that will ensure nothing falls out!
I cannot wait to see how it holds up to daily use.
I only gave it 3 stars because it only comes with one notebook and right now they only have wide ruled or plain notebooks to order - the dot grid, planner, and college ruled are out of stock and have been for quite sometime. I contacted the company they responded quickly but they have no ETA on when they will have more. So that is a bummer. I really hope they aare able to get their supplies back up and running.
