Sellers of substandard products and terrible customer service.
My fiancee and I bought wedding rings from the Barbados store some months prior to our actual wedding in January 2024. Obviously those were not worn until the actual wedding.
My wife put her wedding ring, among other rings, to be cleaned before we went on holiday in January. The jewellers cleaned the other rings but would not clean the wedding ring as the stones were loose.
We put it into a reputable jewellers for repair who confirmed the stones were indeed loose and whilst they could tighten the stones they could not guarantee the repair as they sid the design was poor. They also said the design made the ring unfit to be a wedding ring worn every day.
We contacted Little Switzerland who at first seemed apologetic and helpful. They intimated they would cover a reasonable repair cost.
We send them a copy of the receipt for £90 and also the repairing jewellers opinion that it was unfit as a wedding ring.
Their attitude immediately changed, asking fo "an estimate" on "headed paper" from the repairer detailing the required work.
I pointed out that my wife obviously wanted her wedding ring so we had authorised the repair and that the jewellers details were all on their vat receipt along with the cost of the repair and what they had actually done.
Little Switzerland are now ignoring my emails, obviously hoping all this will go away.
