Honestly I was apprehensive on the comments I have read but I can happily say I am exstatic with this product! It’s lean, it’s delicious and it’s amazing value for money! Arrived so quickly as well!! Will definitely shop here again! Thank you!!!! SO GOOD!!! X

Such a shame this company has no respect for its loyal clients, despite 3 emails and filling in their query form online I had no response to my query for nutritional values of their Biltong, it suggests a high carbohydrate content that they are not willing to share.
I have subsequently purchased elsewhere who provided the carbohydrate value very quickly indeed, disappointing company response ( or lack of)
Seems to be their normal behaviour according to several other reviews.

Worst biltong I’ve ever had. Pictures on website are beautiful. Product is awful. Butchers choice completely inedible. Had to spit nearly every bit into the bin. Customer service non existent. Ignored all communication. Don’t waste your money like I did.

Purchased from Limpopo Biltong for a long time with out any issue, and always next day delivery with DPD, this time i received a email from everi confirming the order to collect but status never changed for 3 days so looked like they had not been given the item or not collected it, thought I would drop a quick email but when I didn’t get a reply I followed up with a call that was directed to voicemail left a msg asking to call, however no call back or email received my package 7 days later I tried on several occasions to call not once did anyone answer the call or even call me back I have also followed up with email ………… and to date no call back or email - Biltong we got was not the usual standard either not sure what’s going on but I will not be purchasing from them again …..things happen in life and this I understand but it’s how you deal with it that makes the difference.

Do NOT order from them!!! Their process is abysmal!! I have been waiting for ten days, they don't react to emails, and now the COURIER responded saying that despite the claims that it would be delivered today, the company (i.e. Limpopo) still hasn't sent the good!! Again - do NOT shop with them!

I have been ordering from Limpopo for years and have recommended them to many people. I wanted a treat for Christmas so I ordered over a £100 worth of biltong and droewors. Well aren't I the biggest fool on the planet. I hadn't bothered to check the current reviews because I was familiar with them but they are not the same anymore. I placed my order on Thursday at around 10:00am expecting it to be on a Next Day delivery. All of Thursday no sign of it being despatched. On Friday it still hadn't been despatched. Emailed to make sure that they don't try for a Saturday delivery, email was ignored. On Saturday, nothing. Calls went unanswered. On Monday, still not despatched so emailed again. Email was ignored. Emailed again and received a response saying it was despatched. I was hopeful. I shouldn't have been. Tuesday now and APC are saying they haven't got the parcel and to revert to the sender. Sent another email but received an automated reply saying it could take 48 hours to respond by which point I will have left the delivery address for the year. Absolute waste of mine and my colleagues money. My advice is do not order from them. They used to be great but now they are the absolute worst. It's a gamble whether you get your order or not and if you don't get it, they don't respond but will keep your money. Avoid, avoid, avoid! Save yourself some pain and just order elsewhere. I'm going to try Snoggys. The quality is great and their service cannot be worse than Limpopo.

I love "proper" biltong and thought I had found a good supplier. I have purchased a number of times before and been generally very happy with their product, however my most recent item arrived with off meat. I have tried to contact them via email and phone and both have been ignored for near on a week. What a shame, their customer service really lets them down. Im aware how to store and haven't made a complaint before when I think the meat being off could have been down to my own fault, but this arrived smelling and tasting rotten. Poor show Limpopo!

They advertise overnight shipping (next day delivery) for orders placed before 1pm. I ordered some boerie and biltong at 09:30am on Monday 02/12/2024 it's now Friday and nothing ever arrived. I contacted the courier APC, who said all the tracking numbers supplied (Limpopo sent three - weird) appeared valid, but no order was ever raised with them to deliver to me.

I emailed them and called their "Head Office" and other numbers several times left voice mails - no response.

Got an instant refund through PayPal which surprised me and makes suspect that they are well known to PayPal for these types issues. 🤔.

I initially reshared them on facebook as a family member had shared them, quickly deleted that post! Will be sharing this experience with said family member instead.

Do not use, my second order was inedible, despite repeated attempts to communicate no response whatsoever to my complaint. The product has gone in the bin.

DO NOT ORDER. they will take your money, nothing will come and they will ignore your emails.

Absolutely disgusting service from this lot! Avoid at all costs! They dont reply to ANY communications. Their product tastes vile. Bought bacon biltong from their “hut” at Blenheim palace Christmas market. £30 for two bags and it tastes like old dry oil. Absolutely disgusting and they dont respond to mail or social media channels. Like I say, avoid at all costs.

Limpopo have gone downhill …..Wet meat with even wetter fat , went mouldy with fur in the bag in 3 days , when I complained at the show stand at Malvern a very rude man told me it was my fault for not storing it properly. How about you not rushing the Biltong drying stage so your meat is properly cured and dried . Waste of money and completely inedible . Won’t be using them anymore.

Ordered a month ago never came won’t won’t reply to my emails and phone number never works.

Terrible service and bad communication. Been waiting 2 weeks for mine. Much better places than here.

Recently I ordered from Limpopo and the courier(APC) only delivered five days later(package is clearly marked as perishable).I contacted Limpopo Biltong the day before I took delivery letting them know the goods will be spoilt,they apologised for the delay and sent me a fresh order at their expense....this is how service should be.....thanx to all at Limpopo.

My order arrived over a week late. The flavour was almost non existent, very bland
However, the texture was perfect and what I wanted in my choice of biltong. If only it had more flavour it would have beena perfect slide of biltong.

We have been customers for a long time. The products have not been so good recently with less flavour, harder droewors, thick biltong etc but my partner has remained loyal. However the sudden £10 postage charge for Scotland on all orders, no warning just suddenly implemented is a step too far. No more orders from here

Driest Biltong ever bought. Overpriced and disgusting to be quite honest. You should ashamed.

Four packs of boerewors arrived defrosted and shockingly in the same pack as our biltong! Food H&S hygiene standards not followed and secondly, defrosted packs cannot be refrozen. Despite buying these for a big bbq event end of the month, they had to be cooked before this! We emailed Limpopo to highlight this, but received the generic reply ‘as the sausage was still good, we’ll train our staff to pack better’

Totally failed to acknowledge the fact that insufficient ice packs for 4 sausage packs AND overloading the foil bags is what lead to defrosted food items. No refund in full or partial offered. In this day and age, this kind of service is accept - well in fact, it’s a lack of service!

I was an existing customer, having purchased meat from this company before, only the last order I had reported an issue with it, as i have found a hair inside the meat. My wife was immediately put off, and wanted to throw it away. I decided to report the issue to Limpopo Biltong to see if they can do something with the situation and clear their name, though to my surprise, they have acknowledged the issue, but decided to not do anything in terms of refund etc. instead they have said, they will carry an internal investigation, and if needed they will re-train their staff, which is great as we don't want this disgusting thing happening to anyone else. I have paid £60 for a meat which is going to the bin, and they don't seem to care about my money, and my feelings as a customer. I have given them more than enough time to sort this out, though their silence confirms they have ended this case from their side, very very poor! Be aware people!!!
