Scammers and Fraudsters Not to Be Trusted on Any Account
My mothers outside back door, would not lock or close properly. The handles were loose and the locking mechanism would not locked securely. My mother was unable to contact her usual Locksmith due to him having other committments. She looked through the Yellow Pages and found Anytime Locksmiths. She contacted them and a Locksmith called "David" arrived within 45 minutes. He removed all the five mortice lock mechanism from the side of my mother side door and stated that it was the locking mechanism was broken. It would be £480.00, including VAT to fix and install a new lock. My mother trusted this persons judgment not realising she was being scammed and paid him in cash. He installed a new locking mechanism "fixed the door ". The door was now stiff to shut but "David"stated it would take a few days to "settle down". After a few days the door could not safely lock, she contacted her usual Locksmith and immediately on arrival he assessed the locking mechanism and stated the "new installed lock" was a fake reproduction with no British Standard kitemark or reference numbers on it. Also it was noticed "David" the previous "locksmith" had sanded down the lock, to make the fake mechanism fit and by doing so broke my mothers back door five mortice security lock. The usual locksmith asked how much she paid and told her this was a scam. My mother not only needed a new locking mechanism but a complete new five mortice lock. Therefore, this had seriously put my mother security and safety at risk. I contacted Anytime Locksmiths on her behalf, after reading their website information. They were very unhelpful and stated that they did not charge VAT. After a few days of emails they just offered the refund of VAT back. This was not good enough. I stated to the Boss/Owner Stefan Goia, of UK Today, the main name of Anytime Locksmiths, that another Locksmith had discovered the Lock his "Locksmith" had installed was a fake and had also broke the five mortice locking mechanism. The answer received was now having another Locksmith to look and dismantel the work of the previous locksmith the warranty was not valid. I answered how can there be a warranty on a fake lock and a broken mortice locking mechanism which was the result of their locksmith. I asked for a full refund. Everything has gone quiet, no answer from sent emails to date on a full refund. I have stated to the Boss and Owner Stefan Goia, I would leave a very, very negative review on Trustpilot making people aware of how a company can scam an innocent elderly lady out of alot of money. Please beware Anytime Locksmiths/UK Today are fraudsters and scammers. Please do not use this business at all or you will be scammed out of alot of money. I would advise if you or a relative have had a similar experience with this business, please put your reviews on Trustpilot. This is a true review. Thank you for reading this review.
