London Camera Exchange Plymouth opened in 1971 and was in the same location for 47 years. We moved to our new location in 2018 and are the only specialist photographic retailer selling new and used equipment in Plymouth. Other than selling photographic, video and optical equipment we also carry out sensor cleaning, image recovery and firmware updates in store. We are also able to send customers equipment away for repair. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and are always more than happy to help with customers needs placing good old fashioned customer service before all else.

Would definitely recommend
We have a shop, fairly local to me, and so I initially sought advice from them. Very thorough and mindful of experience of user, cost to buyer etc… and explained to me how the buying from another shop system worked. I then went online to request a camera from the Plymouth shop, and received the link to do this immediately. Process was simple and the camera arrived two days later, in great condition.

Plymouth LCE's respose was almost instantaneous. I had the lens in my hand a day, 150 miles away, after less than 24 hours. It was perfectly wrapped and protected so I had no doubt about the delivery or that the lens reached me as it had left the shop.

A fault in my Nikon Camera Lens
I took my ageing Nikon DSLR camera and lens into your Plymouth branch with a fault in the lens, your staff were very helpfull and recommended a second hand replacement for the lens which they said was the cheaper option. They did not have the 24 mm-120 mm in stock, and found one at your South hampton branch which I bought on line. It arrived last Saturday at my home address. I am very gratefull for your service as a keen photographer with the advice you gave me which saved me a lot of money not having to buy a new lens, they are not cheap.

Spoke to your Plymouth branch who were very helpful sorting out what I needed. They advised the new lens I reuired would be more quickly delivered if I ordered on line which I did. Took less than 24 hours to arrive. Superb!

I bought a used Fuji GF 1.4 in…
I bought a used Fuji GF 1.4 in February. I wasn’t very impressed by the degradation of the image quality on the 250mm so I returned it. I found the service to be absolutely brilliant in terms of the return of the adapter and the initial purchase. The return process was very swift indeed.
I can safely highly recommend LCE.

Excellent service as usual
Excellent service as usual. Been using this company for about 50 year's and cannot fault them at all. Wether it be online or in store, I've always had excellent service from them. Would definitely highly recommend them.

Mike was extremely knowledgable, helpful, honest and patient when we came to buy our first camera. He took time to answer our newbie questions in a way we understood. They also have a great aftercare system whereby customers can drop in for any later questions they have, or need to solve any tech confusion.
There was no pressure to buy, nor did Mike up-sell us.
