Ordered online & paid several hundred pounds for a Laura Ashley ivory shoe cabinet on 27 December '24, via Plum Retail. After prompting Plum Retail on two occasions for a status update on delivery (with an original lead time of 6 weeks), Plum eventually informed me (on 16 April) that Laura Ashley was unable to manufacture the product. (Meanwhile, I see the same is currently available on the Next website for £150 more than I had originally paid - hmmmm.) I have since received a full refund from Plum Retail, however, for me, Laura Ashley has proved itself to be nothing more than a complete time-waster.

They are now owned by NEXT ….we over £200 of Laura Ashley outdoor planters looked beautiful when putting in the garden but this winter they seem to have disintegrated and falling apart literally! I tried to contact Laura Ashley and the only numbers that are accessible are Next and I tried a Web chat and tried their phone number and nobody is willing to help because they’re saying that we didn’t buy it from the Next store. It’s Laura Ashley and they don’t take any responsibility for anything that was sold via Laura Ashley previously.

Not cotton but polyester. it says Laura Ashley - Luxury Cotton Mattress Topper. fake advertising. I have stage 4 cancer and was looking for cotton for the last days of my life. The shock when I discovered its basically plastic @ £120

poor quality everything i bought broke immediately…

Poor quality shoe rack and broke after having it for a year. I requested for a refund of my money as I wanted to purchase a quality product but rhe company refused to pay me. I am currently in the process of going through the ombudsman.

I bought a jacket and a jumper recently unfortunately sizes were way out of the correct size. Size 6 is like size 10
Hope LA can get the sizes correct otherwise the material and designs are very nice .

Lovely kettle (Elveden) bird design but contrary to the advert, the handle rapid cool, it is intensly hot to handle. Perhaps a review of the design handle or even a ' mit' to stop this happening.

Emailed a query help questions about advice on how to remove creases from some of their curtains I had purchased. They come very creased in the packaging with a do not iron symbol on them. They replied by asking some questions about me. eg what's your address. I replied. I just need some advice please on the creases. I can only assume they have no idea as this time I was totally ignored.

Always Loved Laura Ashley you get what you pay for

Awful. I have two bathroom cupboards, purchased a year apart. The wood on the one in my shower room is all slipping. After months of back and fore they are replacing. Now the paint is all peeling on the one in my bathroom. Very disappointed. Now I’ll probably need to have months trying to get this one replaced .. 10 year guarantee on both. Not worth the money

The Amberly quilt set is misrepresented online. Color described as soft blue, in fact it is grey! Grey doesn't sell like blue, so I believe the company deliberately misrepresented this product. Anyone being objective could not say the color is blue in any way.

Laura Ashley used to make very high quality bedding.
I recently bought a Laura Ashley sheet set from Harris Scarfe.
I washed the sheets, used them on my bed for a week and the bottom sheet had started pilling. They were also thin and not smooth.
Luckily Harris Scarfe refunded the cost due to the poor quality. Will never buy L.A again.

Was going to buy this really cute table runner and matching placemat set buy Laura Ashley that was at HomeSense. Clearly HomeSense got it for so cheap because the quality is horrendous. There were loose threads everywhere, stitches were completely missing, and some threads weren't anchored down correctly. It said machine washable but the loose threads were already pulling through and would 100% continue to do so causing it to come apart in the washing machine. It's really sad that such a stylish set was such horrible quality. I'm glad I didn't buy it and went back to look for something else. Would be super cautious about this brand and thoroughly inspect all items before purchase if possible.

After sale service doesn't exist. It has been more than a year a still waiting an answear for a very bad quality product. They told me at phone that they have to contact the manufacturing factory to figure out about the poor quality and never contact to me again!

I recently purchased a Penarth chaise sofa from NEXT. Arrived dirty with a broken leg. Re ordered another - but a standard 3 seater without the chaise end. Absolute rubbish! After 3 days the seat pads looked like worn out, clumped up pillows! I thought Laura Ashley was a quality product. Never again would I buy this Brand

I must say NEXT customer service has been amazing and exchanged without any problem. I now have a NEXT Gosford leather sofa which so far is perfect - albeit a little too firm. But I’m sure it will soften in time

We have recently been buying Provencale cream furniture for our dining room. We had bought a display cabinet last year and had to have a technician out to fit the base as the pilot holes did not line up with the screws properly.
We have just bought a matching bookcase and guess what...the pilot holes did not line up again. So another technician (in fact the same one) had to be called out again.
Customer services were very sorry as usual, but frankly, an apology from a call centre employee doesn't really cut it.
Why can these companies not employ some sort of quality control? it doesn't have to be any more complicated than trying to fit the base yourself and then you would see the problem. It is clearly just a question of ship it in, ship it out, without even so much as a cursory inspection of the goods. It doesn't take much. Typical strategy of buy a brand and then exploit the hell out of it by buying cheap goods from a far east sweatshop, where no care is taken or craftmanship employed and selling it expensively on the back of a brand that has become recognied for exactly the properties that the goods do not exhibit. More fool us I suppose for falling for it.
Also, the delivery was not as expected. The delivery men, as well as not wearing shoe covers indoors (wet shoes on a cream carpet not perfect) informed us that they were 'not allowed' to take away the huge amounts of packaging as the products were 'self-assembly' (ie the fitting of a base). This clearly also applied to the chairs that we bought in the same delivery for which no assembly was required. I suspect it was more to do with it being a Friday afternoon and them being late.
Shame on you, Laura Ashley, your customers deserve better than this. Try harder if you want our continued support.
