I am a writer, among other "things," but won't spend time writing a book as I can. I did learn some powerful distinctions I still use and grew in creativity and power through 15 years of probably tens of thousands of dollars of courses. However, I did have some bad experiences/insights. Overall: While they talk about not caring how you look, it continues to often be about how you look like getting off it, being committed to something big, always growing and signing up for more and not making them look bad. They talk about being 100% responsible in relationships, which is just a place to look, but should make room for that there are evil aholes out there that you should not be friends with and more. They also say you can enroll people into possiblities you have, but you really can't enroll everyone. For instance, you probably can't enroll the Pope to say abortion is okay or a fat-phobe ballet teacher to say even medium-sized boobs are okay. You may waste your time doing so and need to move onto other people.
I was going through some tough times and shared about it to the wrong people years ago and was told to not return without being told WHO SAID WHAT. I brought guests and registrations to them and who knows how many those people brought to them and did not make a penny. Not giving adults a percentage of profits and thinking they will assist as I did at times 20 or 40 hours a week is BS. They said I could return years ago, but said I need to be 100% responsible on people's reactions to what I say. As Christ even could not prevent crucifixion and as 100% of people do not liek one Presidential candidate, this is BS. They are controlling and unappreciative.
Staff was paid crap and expected to at times work from 7 am to midnight with no overtime. Wisdom Course leader Anne Peterson in her book Is This a Cult? writes about how staff who spent time away from family and traveled to train, coach, be coached and lead were ABUSED by creator Werner Erhard. And I was told in an email recently to behave in order to return, when I don't know what I said or did to whom and their creator acts like a SICK EGOMANIAC.
An ex-seminar leader who I also paid for classes wanted to manipulate me to have sex at his house and when I complained, no one did anything.
In 2008, a married lesbian introduction leader with children was told not to mention she is gay, and I am sure the opposite happened years later as the most important thing is not the people who built them up, but how they look, and money.

Love the new Landmark Subscription service. I can take graduate seminars from the comfort of home and still participate with this amazing community. The pandemic changed a lot for everyone...so glad Landmark adapted!

Sehr viel Zeit wurde für das Promoten der weiterführenden Veranstaltungen verwendet. Für mich als praktizierender Psychotherapeut und (Diamantwegs) Buddhist war nichts neues dabei.
Das habe ich auch von Anfang an gesagt und mir wurden "Veränderungen" versprochen, die es nicht gab.
Die Methoden sind ok. doch sollten reflektierte Menschen dies sowieso beherzigen/kennen und die versprochenen "Durchbrüche" sind m.E. für Menschen, die Kontakt zu sich (~inneres Kind) haben/hatten schwer bzw. nicht zu erreichen...
Für Leute, die anderen die Schuld geben und wenig reflektiert sind, ist das Forum sicher eine Bereicherung. Viele/eigentlich alle Elemente sind bekannt und werden neu gemischt oder unbenannt. Das Forum arbeiter dabei mit psychotherapeutische und buddhistische Sichtweisen ( die m. E. wenn man Erfahrungen dieser Sichtweisen hat, freudvoller rübergebracht werden sollte.
Für mich war das Forum nicht bereichernd. Ich hätte ein Skript vorgezogen. Die stundenlange Anwesenheit(spflicht) ist unverhältnismässig.

They give SOME good advice. But they're very pushy. They'll nag, chase and spam you to attend. They'll nag and hard sell you like a telemarketer to bring people in. I don't think the speaker/host are actually trauma informed or have a mental health background. They're very harsh with how they speak, and they apply a one size fits all model for everyone. The advice is often vague and no real guidance. Therapy seems like a better outlet and more person. The speaker/host make their judgements on you and offer "advice" after hearing your story for 30 seconds. And if anyone knows anything about being trauma informed, or crisis intervention, they speak very differently than the host/speakers here. They also approach it very militia like: being on time, having your cam on, not eating during online sessions. You are paying for a course and they'll speak negatively on you if you don't turn on your camera (because it's the "integrity" you signed up for). They'll even remove you and put you in a waiting room. This group therapy session, has over 180+ people so a HUGE part of the 3 days is listening to others stories. If you're spending $800+ I'd recommend one on one therapy more since you'll get more personal experiences and from regulated professionals.

This is a life changing course. I feel so honoured to have stumbled across it. Just do I, you will not regret it. It covers everything that humans struggle with. From major childhood issues or just anything you want to get from your life. Business, success, love, motivation everything you can think of.

The food is amazing specially when you deal with Anna for the room dining.

This course really opens you up to a new way of thinking and looking at life. It is completely perfect. I would do time and time again. I have been through traumas and currently a divorce, how this course has helped is unreal I couldn't even begin to tell you.

Go in open minded, don't listen to others as they will just hand you their negativity just because they aren't are weren't open minded. Remember it's for you and your journey.

I will never think the same way again thank thank thank you landmark forum I look forward to the next courses with you that I choose and decide to do.

This certainly isn't a cult, there is no pressure to do anything only if you put on yourself but again your decision.

The course isn't easy as it's an emotional rollercoaster but nothing worth doing.

Hello. Recently one of my immediate family members did three days of this course. Over these three days of this course i watched her get extremely immersed into this whole course. It was online and she basically just sat a computer for all day with only a few half an hour breaks when it was 7AM-8PM. As these three days went on i also watched a considerable change in my family members behaviour. She began to become more obsessive and aggressive over small things around the house. This was obvious concerning and a few of my other family members and I brought up these changes to my family member who was engaging in the course. My family member later realised that this course is a complete pile of bs and preys on vulnerable people and minors. Keep in mind that you only have to 15 and parental consent is not required to complete this course. I can only dread what could have happened to my family member if she had gotten more involved in this course. PLEASE DON’T TAKE THIS COURSE.

Also the french government has labelled this organisation as a CULT.

DO NOT TAKE THEIR FORUM. All these 5 star reviews are by people associated with the org. They force so much on you and try to scam you out of your money. See a real therapist don’t attend these BS forums if you have a brain. Listen to the 40% 1 star reviews

A bit of context: I have a master in social work and have done cbt, gestalt therapy, family and systemic constellation, plant medicines, meditation, arts-based intervention (my work)…None of what I share below denies any of these practices. I’m still actively involved with quite a few myself. Landmark is distinct in that it caused immediate and lasting results:

I did landmark forum Sep 2022 and have taken a few courses up till April of this year. Over the course of last 1.5 years I gave myself countless experiences I had previously denied myself to have: I went from being afraid of sing to training with Broadway vocal coach, singing classical opera numbers and teaching singing myself. I created months of r&r time in nature - something I had always told myself I couldn’t do till I “have money.” My relationship with my family went from being “normal on the surface and no connection in reality,” to now where I call my family every other day out of joy. That is priceless. I’ve debuted as theatre director…the list goes on. Without the forum, there was just no way I pulled all this off in this amount of time.

My life’s not Hollywood perfect. I have day-to-day challenges in finance, wellness, and career like everyone. This work is not a fix-all. What it does for me is that it boosts my quality of life regardless of my circumstances, and it busts through bs in my head in no time and gives me access to unconditional love and compassion for myself, which happens to be the key to creating unprecedented results.

In terms of trauma, this is not the program to deal with ptsd or psychological issues. In my own experience, I went through sexual abuse within my family. Without the forum, I would not have let my family in again. Love was out the window. Now here I am, dealing with ptsd still AND having the best connection I’ve had with my family without having to pretend nothing’s happened.

Feeling pressured wise, I’ve experienced that myself. I still do. Here’s where I stand: communication takes one. I’ve done a few programs and have yet to be enrolled in any commission/mlm/pyramid scheme 😆 If I want to be taken off the list, I say so. The people I’ve talked to are people. They make mistakes that have consequences - no doubt about that.

If you’re reading this and are thinking of doing the forum but don’t wanna feel confronted. Consider this: what do you want so badly that being confronted would be a small price to pay? What kinda jobs, relationships, life, would be worth it? This program is very much like life, it’s not designed to make you feel “good.” If you want to be open to life, embrace it completely and dance with it for all it is - this is the program for you. You’ll kiss jadedness goodbye walking out of the forum.

If you’re looking for the softly-softly approach, go elsewhere. If you’re looking for significant transformation: this is your place!
It’s tough. The facilitators are tough. But they have to be! To cut through our (often lifelong) years of namby-pamby BS and victim mentality… after spending $20k on a course that didn’t address the fraction of what Landmark did I would say: start here.
As for the traumatised people (PTSD diagnosis right here) yes, certainly, put your hand up if you’re really struggling. There’s plenty of support for attendees.
If you’re considering it, I highly recommend it but I also needed the follow up seminars to get my biggest breakthroughs

I am so grateful for the programs of Landmark. The most significant impact was getting clear that I'm responsible for my life and my experience of living. Everything else has been affected by that one piece of clarity--my career success, my marriage, my relationship with my parents and my children... Thank you, Landmark!

what happens when you are invited to join:

Someone have become member of Landmark forum, He/She might have completed and they have been forced to enroll friends and family. it is a part of their program to make sure the community grows and money keeps flowing.

What do they do once you start talking :

if you have answered them, they will ask your personal details like problems you are goin through or in what situation you are in.
what actually you are doing is you have invited them to accept whatever they are talking. now you will be countered with lot of example from their life and tell you that it happened with them also and they found it through landmark and now they are in better position. Yes, it is unbelievable and you have no idea how crazy they are. even if you say you have piles, they will say they have faced it. even if you say you lost someone. yes they will compare that with their loss. at the end you will feel like giving a try. That is it. you are member of the group. after that either you will be like them till you realize that you have wasted lot of time and money on Landmark. or you will give up all the hope and stay in landmark.
What is the flow :
3 days of session with so called leader of forum, and you will have few questions which are common. you and rest of the members are requested to share their experience about the question. most of the session is about the experience shared by you and others. by the end of the session you are only asked to explain the narration given by them to convince others to join the landmark. mostly you should be thankful to them without any hesitation and second thought.

I felt the time is wasted and the cost of the training is not worth. you can definitely get special consultation with a psychiatrist instead of joining here.

that's not it. They will ask you to join advance course, seminars and make sure you have totally involved into landmark. some people will go to an extent of giving full time for landmark. I dont know if they have lost of the hopes in life and don't want to do anything in their life or they are sick of their life. only god knows.
What irks me is, they force you to listen nonsense about landmark make you feel you are not having good life without them.

who joins or who is targeted for training :
People with family/career/office/friends problems, and also middle class. people who can afford to pay money.

what you should do to join:
Just answer the call you are welcomed with hand wide open.
if you are not interested,
Rule1: refrain from answering their calls talking to them.
Rule2: ask them who shared your details.
Rule3: if the above person is known to you, Follow Rule1, since they are all same. they will be trained to convince you. better avoid talking to any crap. or don't even dare to share any of your problems with them.

it is not worth joining, they will screw your life with crap. if you find them interesting you don't have to reply to this review because of Rule1.

Psst. : I choose not be part of landmark because I chose not to be part of landmark.

whether someone need this training: people with disturbed mental health are always welcome to landmark forum.

last thing to share: since landmark is offline course, you will be treated like it is jail. even the least discomfort will be hell for you.

They spend the whole time getting individuals to open up about their trauma and convince them that they have been "living life from the stands". Then they go to state that through mental distinctions that you can overcome never feeling like enough. Once you feel like they have the solution you are supposed to get friends and family to sign up as well.

Just a bunch of people trying to manipulate people and earn lot of money.
Not useful. People play with your psychology and are not useful in any part of your life.
Stay away. Don't put your money.

Life altering, I have had participated for 7 years now and created a whole new life for myself using the distinctions from the forum. My family and friends have now done it so we can have a transparent, loving relationships and understanding as a family. A whole profound freedom and peace of mind when one walks to the other side. Do not let it put you off as this work is powerful. Coaching such as tony robins cost 5x to 10x more and this influenced me more by far.

For me this was a truly enlightening experience that has transformed things for me and everyone who I will ever meet, especially my family and my son.

I've attended a few workshops that I quite liked, although I didn't appreciate the culty vibe and the intense marketing to make us buy more workshops. 6 months ago I told them I was content with what I got but didn't feel like attending new workshops with them. They never respected my decision and have been harassing me since, despite me begging them to leave me at peace. They speak about integrity but don't lead by example themselves, they fall short of the principles they claim. I've had to block 5 numbers but they keep calling me from other numbers. I really don't recommend enrolling with them.
