We arranged for Kwikshift to move us on 11 august. They provided a very competitive quote and we were really impressed with the service offered (dismantling of wardrobes and play house etc). On the day, the removal team were absolutely amazing, they were organised and very calm - nothing was a problem. We loved the ‘can do’ attitude!

Massive THANK YOU to the team at Kwikshift for an excellent, very quick and professional packing and moving service. They handled, labelled and moved all items with care and precision. They were able to move me in on the same day as the packing service, which was great as it gave me more time to unpack and settle in. The team were friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond when packing, unpacking, disassembling, assembling and also when collecting the large number of boxes that were left over the following week. This is on top of quick replies to emails and phone calls with excellent communication throughout. Though moving is a stressful process (especially if someone is alone and/or has health problems), all the team members at Kwikshift made the removal process the smoothest part of moving home. Thank you so much and please keep up the brilliant work.

Highly recommend this company. Brilliant communications throughout, every change I made to removal list was greeted with a swift and positive response. The removal staff over the two day job were out of this world. They were so friendly and helpful and demonstrated a fantastic work ethic. Nothing was too much trouble. Great experience with Kwikshift. This was the first time I used a moving company rather than doing it myself and I am glad I chose Kwikshift. Very competitively priced and no issues with booking the dates I needed even though it was a fairly short notice job.

The lads arrived promptly at my flat at 8 am yesterday to load everything up and worked hard in the middle of the heat wave with my flat being incredibly hot - all stars!

They then delivered everything at 8am in Scotland this morning - bless them for setting off at 3 am to be here so early!

We have used Kwikshift to move on three occasions. Solid family firm, transparent costing (never had a hint of hidden extras), Over many years we’ve never been dissatisfied. Professional from start to finish, friendly, prompt, efficient, clean up after themselves. They actually really care about make your move as smooth as possible. Nothing is ever too much trouble.

Having never moved house before we weren't sure what to expect, but honestly we couldn't have asked for anymore. The guys turned up and took control. We showed them what was going, explained about the room we had shut our cats in, they were great with dog who is not always great around people, they interacted with our children and made them feel as part of the move as we all were. They loaded so efficiently and tirelessly and even helped us with some last minute sweeping up before they set off to our new home.

When we arrived at the new home they were equally brilliant, moving to a small village the neighbours were very interested to see who was moving in and wanted to chat and get to know us straight away. This did not delay or stop the team getting us moved in, they knew where most things need to go, and what they weren't sure about they put to one side until we could direct them, because they had involved our children from the beginning they were engaged and helped direct the to which bedroom things should be going to.

Overall a wonderful experience with an excellent removal team lead by Chris. Thank you so much!

Right from the first phone call they were helpful and accommodating with the arrangements and the teams that loaded up and then delivered everything were very quick. I didn't want to write this review, as the start of our experience with Kwikshift was quite good, but after our post-move interactions with them, I feel that I need to share what we've experienced. We moved from Liverpool to Oxford in mid-June 2021, and opted to pay Kwikshift £1475 to move our 3-bedroom house worth of furniture. We did this in order to protect our belongings and to ensure a smooth transition.

Firstly, the booking process was very easy and Kwikshift was helpful in getting everything arranged. The movers did arrive almost an hour late picking up our things in Liverpool, and 90 minutes late in bringing them to Oxford (without calling), but we were willing to overlook that (despite how inconvenient it was during a very busy week).

The movers spent the better part of a day moving things in to the new house. They were bringing each item to its designated room, which I appreciated, but which meant I didn't touch the things between the truck and their final room assignment. Once they left, I went to move our bedside table into place, and noticed that the entire top of it came off when I picked it up to move it. Looking inside the unit, I could see that the drawer was also damaged. Obviously the movers just rested the top on the base of the table and didn't mention anything to me, as the two bedside tables were stacked on each other.

The next day, we unwrapped our chest of drawers only to find that this had apparently been dropped and the top had fairly significant damage.

I wrote to Kwikshift to make them aware of the damage, assuming they'd be as helpful as they were in the beginning in finding a resolution with me. I will paste their responses below, and will add screen shots to the post, as I found it difficult to believe a company would send such brazen responses, with no care or concern for the customer. In fact, Kwikshift opted to blame us for the build of the units (the drawers had been built by M&S, so this certainly wasn't a good excuse!).

In response to our bedside tables breaking: "Thank you for sending the pictures through to us. We have had a reply back from our claims handler and unfortunately he has rejected this claim. We can see from the pictures that the item is only held together by dowles. To correctly fix these items they are designed to push together. This is common design fault and usually down to an incorrect assembly."

I can't imagine that any furniture built with dowels wouldn't be covered. If that was the case, it should have clearly been stated, as MOST flat-pack furniture is built with dowels.

After a week with no replies, I followed up and received this reply regarding (I assume, as it isn't stated) both pieces of furniture: "Apologies for the delay in replying, Unfortunately we are not able to accept any liability for this, as you have stated that after our movers had left you have moved the item yourself. "We tried lifting the top of the piece to move it" This is an incorrect lift for this item and may have damaged the piece.

Please see our terms and conditions regarding the knock that you accepted when taking our services:
11.3.15 For any goods packed by the client and not by us, the insurance cover excludes breakage, denting, chipping and scratching in respect to all property.
11.5 Any minor damage, chips or light scratches to furniture will not be covered by our insurance cover."

We did understand that 'minor damage' wouldn't be something worth complaining about. Our bedside tables are completely broken beyond being able to be used. Our chest of drawers has structural damage to the top of the unit that's the top to curve upward. We're using it for the time being, but this will need to be replaced as well. I don't believe either of these would be considered 'minor damage'. I've added photos of both items as well as the email replies I received to my Facebook review if you'd like to see them.

Kwikshift is effectively refusing to have a conversation with me about this, and is finding different ways to blame me each time they reply to an email. As it seems I'm getting no where in my claim, I thought I'd warn any future customers that might get caught in the same trap by other good reviews. It's a shame, as I thought we were hiring a trustworthy company. Instead, it appears we got a company that doesn't care about its customers, or their possessions, which would seem to me to be a key criteria for a removals company.

Obviously after the above, I do not recommend Kwikshift- I definitely recommend you find a company that cares about its customers and takes care with their belongings.

I looked around for different quotes on my house removal , kwikshift was by far the most affordable , and staff there were very polite and understanding , they tended to my every need , they wrapped my furniture up with a black cling film like substance which I was really impressed with , I would 100% recommend kwickshift to anyone planning on moving to a new home

These guys were amazing helping me out last minute over a weekend with a divorce led court ordered eviction. Their responsiveness and helpfulness through a painful 2 months was better than I could have hoped for. Good and well secured and weatherproof storage too. I cannot recommend Kwifshift highly enough for your removal and storage needs!

Excellent experience using this company. This was our first move in 20 years so nerves/anxiety were running high however, the removal lads were punctual and organised and their experience was clear. Made the whole moving process that little bit easier. Would definitely recommend!
