Lackluster experience in the raw
My wife and I got up this morning at 9:00 a.m. and drove the 19 minutes to Krauss Berry Farm and Estate. The legendary waffles and fresh berries there is the driving objective. When we arrived parking lot was pretty full at 10:00 a.m. despite very few people actually being in the restaurant or the store. We were directed to where to purchase the waffles, despite a large sign on a closed building, not the place to go. The back wall was adorned with many waffle irons, staffed by young ladies, clearly hired for their looks and not their ability to cook a waffle. $40 ish later, we were served a partially cooked, which with waffle batter is clearly raw, waffle topped with a full 6 ounces of blueberries, because it was the only berry in season(despite not actually being in season). No variety or choice, packaged $5, hot chocolate and canned aerosol whipped cream on top the waffle.
So i thought it couldnt get worse until we purchased 2 x $6 apple fritters, also doughy, apples atop not mixed into the dough and a lack of sweetness and harmony with the essential spices cinnamon and nutmeg.
So almost $100 and the memory was lackluster. Not worth your time or money.
