Terrible service! They sent a technician out to cut and program a car key for my car. The tech asked me for an additional 100$ to use to purchase a program he should have already had to program my key.AFTER WATCHING YOUTUBE VIDEOS ON HIS PHONE, The tech ended up cutting a key with no sensor for my car and told me it worked. It did not work. I paid over 200$ for a key that did not work for my car and has no sensor or fob to lock/unlock the doors or a panic button. I called for DAYYS trying to get ANYONE to send someone else out to cut a key so I can drive my car. I got hung up on, promised a call back multiple times, the tech himself was supposed to reach out to me personally and STILL has not. I had to call the New York office, and speak with a man named Luke who was wonderful, and speak to corporate in order to be transferred to the manager at the local Jasper branch. Once speaking with the local manager, I explained the situation to him and how his tech handled the situation with zero calls back, the YouTube videos, etc. the only response I got from him was “ok, I’ll try to talk to him.” I asked for a refund and he has zero hesitation asking for my Venmo account even tho that’s now how I paid the company. No apology was given by the local branch manager, he did not try to send a different tech to fix the issue or anything. I will never do business with these people again.

The one thing Key me does really well is full refunds for all the keys made, that don’t work! In our case, 100% of the keys.

It felt like I was calling a shady call center in another country.

I called KeyMe locksmith to have two door rekeyed at a house in Elk Grove, CA. The tech on the phone demanded I give him a ton of information before he’d give me ANY information or rough estimate to have a front door rekeyed. That seemed excessive and unnecessary for such a basic estimate so I told, “No, thank you. I’ll call another locksmith.” He said okay and we hung up. I thought that was the end of it, but then the tech started calling me back. I got 7 missed calls in about 3 minutes. I knew it was him because it was from someone is Mawatan. (I’ve never heard of it). Then I received a call from a local number, so and I picked up. It was woman with a very thick accent, saying that the tech is trying to call me, so plz answer the phone. I told her, “Thank you, but I’m not interested.” You would think they would get the hint, but then the tech started texting me and asked me to answer the phone. So irritating! I’m sticking with local people who I can communicate with and understand how to conduct business in a professional manner.

The tech did not disclose the charges. He did not talk about what he was going to do. He damage my solid oak paneled door and door frame and did not say anything about. All he did was pop the door open and then I was billed 329.00 OUTRAGIOUS. When called to complain I was offered a discount but only though Venmo or Zell both of which at notorious for being hacked. They refused to credit my card. They are a rip off and scam!!!!! DO NOT USE

The key was hard to use, and the former tenant still had a copy of the key and went into my apartment

I'd give them 0 stars if I could. I called this morning shortly after 8 to have someone come and change the lock on my front door. I gave them my address and phone number, and was told a tech was 4 miles away and to stay by my phone. 4 hours later I hadn't received a call yet, so I called back. I told the person that answered that I wasn't sure if this was supposed to be an all day wait or not, but I didn't think so and asked if I could get an update on how things were going. She said, "we don't service your area.'..... then whyyyyy did a gentleman take my address and phone number and tell me a tech would be reaching out to me shortly?!?! She replied, "that's a good question."

Would of left 0 stars if possible.These guys never contacted me back and left my wife, my 3 month old baby, and I stranded with no answer. I DO NOT recommend calling these imbeciles. I had to break a window because of their "quick response time". Absolute trash.

Really slow in getting key mailed out. Around $35 for a key that would cast $9 at Ace. For that price overnight shipping should be include. Take time and price it out before using this company. I didn't and paid for it.

Two keys go in the lock but won’t turn, 1 key goes in the lock and turns but it sticks and it hard to use

The specialty key option is unique. It arrived at my address in a timely manner. The machine in the store cuts keys good.

Copy 2 key on a kiosk. Got it on a week , none work try to contact the to get a refund, multiple ways , no response. Went to ACE DID MY COPIES AT HALF THE PRICE, this company is is untrustworthy

Used this to make a copy of my house key. I paid $7.55 for a key that didn't cut/match. And there's no way to get a refund

Had 5 keys made they won’t work the teeth portion is off on the cut

I called Keyme Locksmith. The operator said he would have a tech in my area call me. The tech was over an hour away and lied saying he was near me and would be here in 15-20 min. After 45 minutes I called back and they said they would have him call me. Fool never did call or show up!!!!

Locksmith told me over the phone that the service call would be $85. When he arrived, he did five minutes of work with a tool that anyone can buy online, and charged me another $165 for labor.

This was the worst experience I have had with locksmith in my entire life. Someone came for a duplicate keys for me… the keys started working fine for a day or two and stopped working after that. I called again to express my concern. The guy came and told me the keys needed battery… he changed for a new battery.. A couple of days after this time the keys stopped working completely… I called several times to get it fixed… No luck… they stopped answering my phone calls. I had called with a different number seconds after the phone ring and someone promised to give me a call in 2 hours . 2 hours later I called from the other number. No one is picking up the phone at this point… this is a scam… this is called stealing. Not being honest….

Had 10 copies shipped to me and they worked perfectly

The automated machine at my local grocery store did a poor job duplicating my apartment key. Hopefully, the machines at other locations do a better job.
On the plus side, requesting a refund was fast and easy

I decided to try using KeyMe to save $50 from the dealers price but was not worth it after FIRST receiving the wrong fob (which I did not realize until I had spent quite a bit of time trying to program). I was then sent to correct fob which programmed ok BUT the unlock button did not work. I asked KeyMe if they would let me hang onto that key until they sent a replacement so I could have a spare in the meantime and they said no. They HAD to have the faulty fob back before they would send me another fob. (Still no spare after two attempts) Alternatively to returning the malfunctioning key, I asked for a discount on the bad one, Keep it even though the unlock didn’t work, but they also refused, I spent several hours between programming and returning faulty keys and I DO NOT think it is worth it!!
