Without doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. My insurer instructed them to act on a car insurance claim when the other party failed to reply. It’s all gone to s**t since they got involved. It is nigh on impossible to get hold of anyone and when you finally do after umpteen phone calls and emails you are given every excuse under the sun along with multiple promises and assurances which are continually broken.

I am on my 3rd case handler now as the 1st 2 left the company. I’ve now got to go to court because of their total mishandling of the claim and despite my best efforts they have provided zero support at any stage. Shame on 1st central for using them and shame on Keoghs for being the most incompetent bunch of idiots on earth.

I took an insurance company to the Small Claims Court after a vehicle insured by them hit and damaged my stationary car. I was awarded Judgement in Court. The insurance company then instructed Keoghs to challenge my award and have it set aside. They made repeated attempts to get me to agree to support their claim in Court with threats to claim expenses (which I couldn't afford) if it went to Court. I wouldn't give in to this bullying/threatening so it went before a Judge. I won convincingly with the Judge making scathing comments about Keoghs handling of their case during his summing up.

A fundamentally dishonest company, lied and covered up everything regarding a serious injury at work case.

Denied the accident for 3-4 years

Then suddenly remembered there was a big accident once taken to court.

Keoghs and the dodgy company they represented changed their story constantly whilst accusing everyone else of lying.

A company that is not fit for purpose and should be booted out of the insurance industry.

They destroyed four years of our life’s with their sly and underhand dark art dodgy tactics…

Very unprofessional company, they represent Ocado delivery vehicles, Ocado delivery vehicle reversed into my Mercedes smashing the light, the entire process after that was a nightmare thanks to Keoghs, who have no idea how to treat people.

Absolutely shocking company customer service none existent claims handlers refuse to respond and bully into taking payouts less than webuyanycar offered by 5k to be accurate also refuse to talk to other solicitors or ombudsman

Appalling customer service. Been trying to get hold of Keoghs for the last 3 weeks as they are dealing with a car claim from 3 years ago on my behalf as instructed by my insurance company at the time. Was promised a call back around a week ago and still waiting now, constantly on hold and then get cut off after 15 minutes. I've left multiple voicemails and sent emails for an update and still have had no response. Avoid at all costs.

What a let down when I came i spilt my drink i gone to tell about 4 different people no one would come and clean it up and I was so embarrassed cause my cheeks oh they were red I really do get embarrassed in them situations like that and I never got anything after that the people that work there they really just egnore you and it was mothers day WHAT A TOTAL LET DOWN

Firstly their timescales for replying are woeful- they ignore any messages submitted via their portal and emails take just as long.

Expect a battle over every aspect of your claim !

I wish this was the worst part of my experience but if you happen to deal with them for an accident that was not your fault - EXPECT to be put out of pocket

I was hit in the rear of my car by an Iceland delivery van. They Admitted liability and following this I have had a catalogue of nightmares to deal with

They also partner with a company called
VMS for Icelands insurance, they offered a courtesy car if I deal with them directly, my husband works away a lot so to be stranded without a vehicle is not ideal with a small child and other children in the house.
I was provided with one key to the hire car.

I popped out to the shop for a few items and after unlocking the car , I placed all our shopping in the boot of the car. I had my baby in tow so any mum will understand the struggle of the juggle. What I hadn’t realised is the key was in the boot with all the shopping. The car was locked which I wasn’t aware it could do as it had been unlocked. I was left stranded and contacted VMS to try and do the right thing. After a day of waiting in a car park , two separate services were sent out and could not access the car. They ended up smashing the window and I am now being charge £1542 for the pleasure -

Binning my thawed shopping was the least of my worries

Incidentally this amount is similar to the offer for my car so I've ended up with all the stress this has caused over the last month and financially worse off! Would have been better off being hit by an uninsured driver or remaining by going through my own insurance

Had I not been hit and been in my car this never would have happened as firstly I have two keys, secondly I have my own recovery. Having looked at the cost/labour to replace the window it would be a third of what I’m being charged

They battle absolutely everything and it is beyond tiring and stressful

We are a month on from my accident

* 2 weeks without a car before having the initial hire
* will end up financially worse off

This is before we add the impact to my health from the stress and also whiplash not to mention the loss of time

I never would have had all of this stress and this is all the result of being hit in an accident that was not my fault!

They do not answer the phone, I have tried 6 emails, many phone calls, but no reply.

What a shower of sh.t, it's been 3 years since the accident, given them all the evidence that the other party had lied to my insurance company 3 times and yet Keoghs are now stating that there's not enough evidence for me to take the matter to court, if I was to lie to my insurance company I would be blacklisted from getting insurance, my insurance company is Ageas and they have been great, but they have used this company and have lost all my respect for them as now its going to be a my fault incident when it clearly wasn't, I am angry at this response from them as all they have done is pass me from person to person and actually done nothing, all they have done is cost my insurance company for the supposed work done by them over the last 3 years, they don't deserve a penny as they have done nothing, Avoid any insurance company that uses Keoghs solicitors as they are a total waste of time

Absolutely appalling company, from the very first time I was passed over to them to represent me they have been nothing but problems.
Constantly ignored, unable to get hold of, passed around from person to person, literally no structure at all.
Now after having to go to court, their lack of ability to provide evidence on time was a breach and went in the favour of the other party. My additional costs were rejected again because of their lack of ability to do their job - just hands down the most unprofessional and disorganised company I've ever had to work with.
How they are still going and can be classed as a soliciting firm is beyond me.

I feel let down with the lack of support I have had from this service, I have been ignored at every point of contact, can’t get through to them on the phone, I have sent multiple emails all have been ignored. They have actually caused me more distress than the actual accident.

They are an embarassment to them selves. Dont answer the phone, dont answer emails. Lost court case because they failed to submit paperwork. Now accident has been changed from a non fault claim to a fault claim because my insurance company could not claim back from the other parties insurance. Lost no claims, and insurance gone up considerably.

I would give 0 stars it possible.
Absolutely no communication between me and them, I tried emails, phonecalls and no response..
Nobody is answering or replying.
Different people sending different emails but not replying.
Such a shame insurance companies work with this type of people. It feels like they see my emails and just delete them in an instant.

Like others on here no communication. They were brought in by my insurance company for a claim back in 2023 for an accident I was not at fault for. Sent them paperwork in January nothing since, until December repeatedly requesting the initial paperwork again. Respond each time saying they have it and can I have an update no response from them.

Absolutely embarrassing excuse for a law firm!

Stay clear of this place full of people stealing a living!
Timeline of Events:
04/07/24: Instructed this firm for my insurance claim. I was emailed the "initial letter to policy holder".
07/07/24: Sent over all evidence and completed forms by email.
19/07/24: After radio silence, I emailed to chase a response or confirm receipt of my documents.
29/07/24: Finally received a reply from confirming receipt of my forms. She stated they were being reviewed by my file handler and that they were in communication with the third-party insurer. At this point, my file handler was still the same person, who had made zero contact with me in nearly a month.
Attempts to Follow Up:
Called repeatedly to chase updates, but receptionists always claimed everyone was "busy" or "in a meeting." On occasions where they attempted to transfer me, the call would ring endlessly before cutting off. This cycle happened every time I rang.

19/09/24: Frustrated, I submitted a formal complaint via email, CC'ing the team leader and the case handler.

A Brief Glimmer of Hope:
25/09/24: Received a call from the team leader. During our call, it became clear my forms and evidence submitted on 07/07/24 were nowhere to be found. My case had essentially been ignored for two months!

The team leader apologized and claimed to resolve the issue, assigning my case to a new case handler and stating the third party had 14 days to respond. He also reassured me the evidence meant the third party had no chance and would likely settle. Based on this, I canceled my formal complaint.
Broken Promises:
17/10/24: After a month of no updates, I emailed the team leader directly for clarification. No reply.
26/11/24: Sent another email to the team leader informing him I would call the next day. Again, no response.
Annual Leave Nightmare:
Week of 09/12/24: While on annual leave, I called their office on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, only to encounter the same issues: receptionists transferring me to no one, leaving me on hold for minutes before being disconnected.

A receptionist eventually told me the name of the manager of the team leader who was ignoring my attempts to make contact, so I attempted to reach the manager, team leader and case handler on all four days. Unsurprisingly, no one was available.

Final Thoughts:
If you want even mediocre service, do not come anywhere near this law firm. Clueless receptionists, file handlers, and managers—absolute clowns.

Useless solicitors. I unfortunately have to deals with this excuse of a legal firm due to being insured by Hastings. Had an accident over a year ago where my vehicle was struck. After over a year they have came back with an offer of 50/50 knock for knock with 7 days to except the offer. I have asked questions to Keoghs for confirm of the impact to me. They have failed to respond, just like the previous time I asked for more answers. Much the same experience of other people on her. Should be struck off

Just like every other review on here, absolutely no communication from this so called legal company from the second my case was put to them.

My car was hit by DPD who didn't stick around to leave me their details. They passed me onto their insurance company Sopp & Sopp (both of these companies equally as terrible as eachother) who then passed me onto Keoghs. I was told by the insurance company that they were waiting for Keoghs to get back to them and they would be in touch shortly. Well of course this never happened and I was forced to ring the insurance company back who then gave me the number for keoghs and then put me through to them. 35 minutes I was kept on hold, I put the phone down thinking maybe there was a problem with the line and I rang them directly, only to be put on hold for another 15 minutes before I gave up for the night. I tried to ring multiple times before I rang the insurance company again asking what was going on, they connected me to Keoghs again, when a receptionist actually answered and told me she was putting me through to someone. I was on hold again for 5-10 minutes again before I was told to leave a voicemail because the person was busy. Needless to say I did but surprise surprise, no one has contacted me since and its been nearly a month since i rang and over 2 months since the damage was caused to my car.

Between DPD, Sopp & Sopp and Keoghs, all 3 companies will simply ignore you and make no effort to communicate with you in the hopes you'll just go away.

Avoid at all costs.

Currently have a claim being dealt with by Keoghs. They do not answer the phone and emails are consistently ignored. The claim has been open for over 2 years and very little has been done. In fact, upon attending court, the correct evidence hadn't been added to the court bundle and the barrister had to appeal to the judge for inclusion as I had sent to the solicitors several months preciously.
