Terrible customer service and false…
Terrible customer service and false information.
We got a pair of shoes for Christmas for me father in law and they simply wouldn't accept the return because "the box was damaged". When we asked where in the return policy it was pointed out that was a reason for the refusal, they said the shoes were worn (they still have the label on and were extremely small, he couldn't even put them on) and sent fake photos from s different pair.
The shoes we have at home still have labels and are in pristine condition.

Recently I purchased a pair of Kathmandu fingerless gloves.
I phone the Eastlands Ringwood Victoria store and a man by the name of Scotty took my call, he did not have any in store as it’s summer but said he would check out back stock and check around and phone me back.
Unfortunately I had to go to hospital with a glute injury and I thought I possibly would not hear from Scotty, but lying in hospital I received a call from Scotty to say he had found me a pair of the fingerless gloves.
I then told him I would send my husband to pick them up as I was in hospital. Scotty replied, I will send you some comics to read, I laughed and said chocolate would be better.
My husband went and picked up the gloves, Scotty asked about my health and told my husband he put a chocolate in the bag for me.
Oh my gosh is this the best Customer care and service I have ever experienced: YES!!!!! Please pass my sincere thanks onto Scotty and I hope the Company reward him in some way as we need more caring and sincere people like this in our world.

Had to Pay to Return Defection Shoes
I have worn the same size shoe from Keen for years and never had an issue with size. The Keen shoes they shipped did not fit even though I ordered my regular size. I had to pay $15 shipping to return the shoes. I wrote to them asking about getting a post paid return label and no one wrote back.

I bought an expensive jacket from the Geelong store and found damage when I got home only 45 minutes later.
I’d only been in my car so know I wasn’t around anything that might damage the product. Store blamed me for damage.
Product was either already damaged or absolutely garbage. Either way I’m never going back there. Wish I had researched before buying as it seems this is just what they are like. Overall ratings are terrible. This was a really ordinary experience, Kmart have better products at 1/10 of the price.

Rubbish boots
I bought a pair of tiber ngx boots in june 2023 and they started to come unstitched within 6 months .these boots aren't cheap but are rubbish. Not water proof as claimed.

Hello All, I've been a supporter of Kathmandu stores and products for many years, however I visited the Warrambool store today and whilst the stocked items was great the service or lack of was poor, example "do you have something like the Kathmandu pants I'm currently wearing", they needed replacement, answer no with no suggestion, them the attendant just walked away and went back to sorting shelves, customer service comes a distant second to stacking shelves, ho hum, best I just buy on line.

Went to Midland store in Perth. Served by the super helpful Tiffany who went out of her way to source a pair of pants I’d been looking for online for 6 month. Fantastic result and she went out of her way to help me. I’ll be going back 100%!

Kathmandu Watergardens
Today I shopped at Kathmandu Watergardens store in Melbourne and was served by a lovely employee named Stavros. I went in store to find some winter gear for my upcoming Canada trip and didn’t know where to begin. Stavros showed me all kinds of clothes that I will need in the cold conditions over there, explaining even small details about each and every product. He went above and beyond helping me with different jackets and thermals, and introduced me to products I hadn’t yet considered! His customer service was brilliant and deserves recognition greatly, and his manner was very approachable and helpful. Thank you Stavros, you were a massive help!

It is scary to go to Birkenhead point
It is scary to go to Birkenhead point. Very unprofessional staff, really low quality customer service. There was a false advertisement on the shelf,one of the managers got angry and treated us by calling the security and told us to leave her store when we askedher why there was a different price. We were right and she couldn't justify the mistake and put it in the right place, then she rolled her eyes and put her face up to my face and yelled at me telling me that " THERE DOES THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY! I sent an email, and her friend, the other supervisor, was even worse on the phone. Defenetly, after many years, getting katmandu, it is time to move on.

I attended your store at Parafield.
I was looking to purchase a sleeveless puffer jacket and got a little confused if I had already attended the store and asked them to hold one for me as I was not sure which one I wanted, I was not welcomed when entering the store, and when I asked the question if I had already spoken with them, I received a response of “Nah” I started to have a look at the jackets looked back at the two young staff members smirking and rolling there eyes, not once was I asked for assistance so I said not to worry about it and left. When I left the store and looked through the window the we’re pulling faces and laughing so I returned and told them it was unacceptable.
I suffer from bouts of low blood pressure and was not feeling great which can cause me a little confusion hence why I was not sure if I had already been in the store.
The store was empty and makes me wonder why when you are greeted disrespectfully!
