Kalkine.com is a reputable company that has been trading in Australia for several years. While they have established a trustworthy presence in the market, their customer acquisition strategy leaves much to be desired.

Recently, I received an unsolicited call from Kalkine.com offering stock recommendations. Despite not having signed up for their services, the executive informed me that they had obtained my contact details from a third-party source. This was followed by another call from the company, reiterating their stock recommendation services.

Out of curiosity, I decided to subscribe to see their recommendations. While I am content with the subscription itself, I am dismayed by their approach of purchasing email addresses and contact details from third parties and then using this information to pressure potential customers into buying subscriptions. Such practices are unfair and should not occur in Australia. Companies should respect privacy and employ ethical methods to gain customers.

Although the company’s tactics to acquire customers are flawed, the people I have dealt with, namely Jacob and Carol, were great in their support, and the onboarding experience was excellent. While Kalkine may offer valuable services, their current acquisition tactics undermine their credibility and trustworthiness. I hope they reconsider and reform their customer outreach strategies to align with fair business practices.
