We purchased a caravan back in 2022 and travelled from Yorkshire. The caravan has been great and we’ve had plenty of trips which is now the worrying part. We have come to upgrade and buy a new caravan and when part exing ours, the caravan company got the CRiS details up only to inform us that the caravan had been in an accident and had a marker against it on the CRiS report. The caravan was fixed which changed the marker code but to one that cannot be removed from the CRiS. We were never informed about this when we purchased the caravan. And now we are struggling to part ex the caravan as they are unable to sell it with the marker on! One tip when buying a second hand caravan- do a HPI check! Don’t just trust the company!!

We suffered a valve failure on our Eriba 5 miles from our caravan site near Sandringham. We just managed to get pitched, went to the pub to recover and they suggested ringing Jim at John Wicks Caravan Sales on Saturday morning. I rang to ask if he could recommend a tyre place . Jim said he could fit a valve . I ended up borrowing a 17mm socket and breaker bar and a great trolley jack . Jim would have let me take axle stands if I wanted and he made sure I had a torque wrench . Nothing and I mean nothing was too much trouble . Jim fixed the wheel in 20 minutes and when we returned the tools charged me next to nothing for all his trouble and service . We looked round the vans for sale and it was a lovely array too . I would have no hesitation recommending Jim and Jason’s business. Thank you so much - what a welcome to West Norfolk

Just purchased our caravan from John Wicks Caravans. Cannot fault the service they provided. Friendly and professional. Excellent detailed handover. Nothing too much trouble. Superb service. Would definitely go back. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Until Autumn 2023, this business was owned by John Wicks, the man referred to in the scathing review in 2018. From Autumn 2023, the business has been owned and operated by Jim and Jason, two local young men of high integrity and enthusiasm.

In February 2024, I took my caravan to Jim and Jason for its annual service. As arranged, I took it in one day, the service was carried out the next day and ready for collection the following day. What a difference from the previous less-than-satisfactory experience of my usual engineer. The handback was comprehensive and complete, with everything explained in full. The reports were fully completed and they and the invoice were in a plastic sleeve (unlike the previous grease-stained bit of paper!), the service record had been completed and the service sticker added to the line of previous yearly stickers. A totally professional service making for a great experience, and a finishing touch was that the carpets had been vacuumed in a sweeping pattern, silly but impressive, and demonstrating that attention to detail which showed that a good job had been done.

I was so impressed with the overall experience that I had no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Jim and Jason to my friend Nigel when unforeseen circumstances dictated that he had to give up caravanning and sell his caravan (see his review)

Recently we also decided to give up caravanning and sell our caravan. There was only one place to go - to Wicks, of course! As arranged, I took the caravan in on a Monday, it was advertised on the Tuesday and sold by the Saturday - just 5 days! Undoubtedly, the quick sale was thanks to the very professional and full description, and the numerous photographs in the advertising. The agreed, quoted and documented purchase price was very satisfactory and the sale price was sensible and not at all greedy! Upon collection of the caravan by the new owner, the money was immediately transferred into my bank without any fuss or bother. Jim and Jason bought a couple of accessories and I was very content to donate some other things to them in recognition of the first class experience.

I wish them very success in their business venture and think they should be rated 5 Star!

I have been forced to give up caravanning due to unexpected health reasons after 40 plus years, resulting in us having a relatively new caravan to dispose of and me being unable to drive. A friend suggested I contact John Wicks Caravans, a local company, for advice.
I am so glad that I did! Jim (and the team) took all the stress out of the situation. Jim collected the van, did an exceptionally good job presenting and marketing it for us, resulting in us receiving a very satisfactory price. We are so very grateful and I have no hesitation in recommending their very professional and friendly service.

The wife and i visited John Wickes and found a caravan we both liked.
No pushy sales man but a very friendly guy called Les.
About 2 weeks later we picked it up and we are both very pleased with it.
There was a very comprehensive hand over, with some extras to help us out, step, cable, and hitch lock.
We can highly recommend these and would not hesitate to go and purchase from them again.
We have recently tried it out and all seems to work perfect.

Good selection of caravans and realy good afters sales

I bought a caravan from John Wicks Caravans and found it was in excellent condition. A six month warranty came with it, which I tested when a couple of faults (not pre-existing) occurred. They never questioned the cause and corrected the faults satisfactorily very quickly. I live some distance away and called in whilst on holiday on the area. I had no appointment but they attended to me immediately.
I have always found the employees I have dealt with were courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Personally I can't recommend John Wicks Caravans highly enough.

I took my caravan to John Wicks Caravans, Kings Lynn. (worth about £1800 on a good day) as a trade in against a single axle Bailey Senator 2 berth priced at £6,000, Mr Wicks immediately offered me £4,000 for it (if something sounds too good to be true it usually is)

As part of the deal was that I wanted a full service plus a thorough damp test, both in writing as proof that the work had been carried out correctly.
As soon as I arrived home with the new purchase, I wanted to check the tyre pressure with my Michelin Digital tyre pressure gauge, one tyre was 10 lb under pressure the other 14 lb under pressure, well if this had not been checked what else had been conveniently missed.

I immediately phoned up a local NCC approved mobile caravan engineer, he came out the following day. I showed the engineer the damp test report signed by Mr Wicks, it showed readings of between 10 and 12 which meant that the caravan was bone dry. The engineer went into the caravan with his damp test meter and came out again after about 10 minutes, he said that he would not continue with the damp test as the lowest reading he got was 30+ , he said that the inside of the caravan was so full of damp that is would never dry out and would rot from the inside, out, he instructed me to take the caravan back and get a full refund as Mr Wicks had sold me goods not fit for purpose and that he had lied regarding the damp test,he had also broke the law via The Trades Description Act of 1968.

Confronting Mr Wicks regarding the situation, he offered me my £2,000 cash back plus my trade-in, I explained that I did not want my trade -in back as had I wanted to keep it I would not have traded it in.

I applied for a county court judgement against Mr Wicks to Kings Lynn County Court, for the sum £6,000 plus £500 compensation, all my letters, plus letters from the court were totally ignored, up until the day before the court hearing, then he decided to pay me in full. What was the matter Mr Wicks didn't want a CCJ against your name ?, that would have put you out of business, shame it didn't go through.

This man is dishonest, deceitful, duplicitous, disingenuous, double dealing, insincere, ignoble, immoral, unethical,unprincipled, and untrustworthy, Ask anyone within a 30 mile radius of Kings Lynn and surrounding villages that has had dealings with this man and they will tell you to walk away. He is always polite and will even offer you a cup of tea or coffee, if you are looking to purchase. Beware this is just a ploy to get you to sign on the dotted line, Robin Hood and Dic Turpin are rank amateurs compared with this man, (can't put the "k" in, bad language)

If you have bought a caravan from Mr Wicks that is not "a cut and shut" or bought from an auction or some nefarious trader, consider yourself very lucky. I see that Mr. Wicks now is an "Approved Workshop" (joke) so if I stand in a garage with a spanner in my hand, does that make me a mechanic ?
Want a decent caravan with a proper guarantee, from a very reputable company then go to"MARQUIS CARAVANS AND MOTOR HOMES" they have 12 branches nationwide and give a 3 YEAR WARRANTY on all their secondhand stock, I did, very pleased with the 5 star service.

By the way did he ever explain why his car sales business was suddenly shut down ? no didn't think so, Leopards and spots immediately come to mind, Leopards and spots.
