I bought what was described as a "reconditioned" LT 95 gearbox at a cost of £1700 plus my old gearbox. I arrived to be presented with a tatty looking gearbox which I was told was a military reconditioned box that had probably been done 20 years or more ago and had been stored - Absolute Bull Sh**!!! The gearbox showed all the signs of having been removed from a vehicle even to the extent of clutch dust in the bell housing and marks where nuts had been removed from the still fitted mounting brackets plus many, many other tell-tale signs too numerous to list. It may well have been a reconditioned box when it was originally fitted to the vehicle it was taken out of to sell to me and thus should have been described as a second-hand gearbox and sold outhright at about £300/400 or maybe up to 800 with warranty. In the unlikely event that Craddock's respond to this post, the name I am using for this review is not the name under which I made the purchase but they will know who I am.

I have been trying to locate Heater hoses for my 1963 series Land Rover, it has a Smiths round heater unit, and i could not find the hoses where ever i looked I contacted Craddock's and with the help of one of their Agents was supplied with , the very item i required. many thanks.

Hi Trustpilot I am writing this review to warn others about shopping at johncraddockltd
I live in Denmark and ordered spare parts for just over 500 pounds. It said on the website that the goods were in stock. They then report back that the goods are not in stock and they cannot deliver the goods either. So, of course, I ask them to cancel the deal and refund the payment. I have paid through PayPal which they recommend on their site. But they have drawn the payment before they know if they can deliver the goods (which they couldn't in this case) When they then refund the payment, 40 pounds are missing as PayPal have exchanged the amount.
I protested this loss, as i will not pay 40 pounds for nothing but John Craddock and PayPal refuse to refund the amount. However, I don't think the money should have been taken from my account until Craddock know for sure they can deliver the goods.
Next time i use paddock spares. I have tried the same here, but they refunded the full amount and Paddocks have a better score at trustpilot:
Paddocks: 1 star: 3%
Craddocks: 1 star: 18%

Ordered 4 tyres and they never arrived. I had to contact the company to chase my order only to be told the tyres were discontinued. A lengthy complaint saga then ensued involving promises of callbacks not kept and a directors investigation that never happened. During this period, the company still had my money. I have now demanded a same day refund which did not happen the same day. Disgusted.

Exceptional service, time deadline for spare parts to be received for MOT failure and John Craddock pulled out the stops and parts were received within two days of ordering.

Fabulous and quick service and the products arrived in good time and as described.
