Booked car in for service including…
Booked car in for service including timing belt change. Dropped of as arranged then called to be told they wouldn't carry out the work due to the engine having 'Extended Crank'. But as part of the quality service provided, the 'free health check' highlighted an 'issue' with the drive shaft, AND a tick box to approve an £850 repair - ON a car that they thought didn't warrant a service and belt change.
I accept (but don't agree with) their engine diagnosis, but to be then offered auxillary work on the car (that has subsequently been checked and deemed not neccessary by 2 other specialists inc another main dealer) is daylight robbery!! Be aware! On a side note, a friend had their timing belt done by this garage, had no end of trouble afterwards inc replacing a £200 battery un-neccessarily, took it north to another main dealer and was diagnosed with a sensor that had not re-connected within 5 mins . I was warned!!!

Good problem solving.
The service department under manager Barry solved the problem with my vehicle as quickly as was possible in difficult circumstances. The problem was unusual and required prolonged effort. Their persistence won through.

Overall the service was ok but maybe…
Overall the service was ok but maybe slightly expensive. The staff were helpful and friendly. This was the first service and car being still under warranty I indicated that there was a noise from one of the wheels and this was not addressed.

Asked if brake disc replacement was covered via warranty. Waited 2 weeks for phone call. Told they were not, I pushed for an explanation but staff member came across as defensive and no reason given

First Class Service from Jaguar Dundee
Sales assistant was very helpful and hassle free from start to finish.
On arrival to collect car, customer service was excellent. Was shown around car and how to set up various tech gadgets. Courtesy bottle of Gin also a lovely touch.

Found the whole experience very good. The staff got me a work station where I could work on my laptop while I waited for the service to be carried out. Tea and coffee were plentiful.
