Manager terrible very disappointing quite aggressive regarding my own car. He asked me to phone other dealers regarding price for my own vehicle, I thought this was his job

Recently visited John Clark Volvo for a service on my vehicle . The staff as always were very welcoming polite and knowledgeable. They kept me up to date throughout the morning on the progress of the vehicle service and made sure I was aware of any issues found before asking my permission to carry out any necessary repairs.
As far as car dealerships go I would highly recommend John Clark Volvo Dundee. Thank you

My car is an old Volvo not quite like all the shiny new ones. I drove quite a distance to put my car into this garage and I am more than happy I did so, Aaron done a phenomenal job keeping me up to date from the start of the process to the end of the process, Shirley was amazing with her knowledge, flexibility and warmth. John the newbie was delightful. Car needed a lot of work but I am very happy she is safe and sound once again thanks to Dave! Thank yi awww!. x

Always very well treated and have received great service from Jason and the team for the last five years. The technicians are efficient and reliable, any recommendations for additional work has always been reasonable and acceptable.

The team at John Clark Volvo in Dundee continue to surpass my expectations. Everyone I’ve dealt with has looked after me superbly well. We recently popped in to discuss changing our existing XC40 for a new mild hybrid version. Liam took excellent care of us throughout the process and we could not be happier. We can’t wait for the new car to arrive. Highly recommend the team at John Clark Volvo, including the service department.

Salesman was uninterested in trying to find us a car that w would suit our needs.
He took my email address and said he would let me have a valuation for my car and give me an update on xc40s available. I heard nothing from him.. no follow up.. no valuation nothing. Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had in a garage.
I have now bought a new car from someone who was interested in my business.

Volvo XC40 with repeated problems with the 12V support battery indicating a “critical charging” error. Visited garage 3 times to try to get to the bottom of this. Staff were always helpful and on third occasion organised a loan car for 2 days to investigate more thoroughly. Eventually determined that the battery was at fault but that because the car had had too many “short duration” journeys was not covered by warranty!
Garage undertook to raise this with Volvo on my behalf and very pleased to say that Volvo accepted that the battery should indeed be covered by warranty.
Many thanks to Jason and Aron in service reception for the way that this has been handled and also to Susan in admin for dealing with Volvo so promptly and achieving a positive result.

Easy to book, Car picked up on time serviced and returned on time.

car was due to be delivered with 23 plate on March 1st
But
garage told me at last minute that that wasn't possible and register it as 72 plate a couple of days before end February.
Pretty annoyed to be honest after a 6-7 month wait for delivery . No explanation given.

First impressions went well they sent me a video of the car I was looking at purchasing I put down a £100 deposit to hold the car so I could drive up and see it in my days off. Arrived at the dealers and was treated very well and was shown around the car and handed over the keys to go test drive it all going so well and I was really pleased after the test drive I arranged to buy the car but pointed out a few bits that needed attention which I was told that would be fine it would be sorted also told that the car would get a thorough clean and polish “It never” so I wax given a delivery date which was awesome something to look forward too. Delivery day came the car was dropped off but was very dirty inside and out the 2 small scratches that I was promised would be polished out were still there, the car never had the service book so no way of telling the service history the car was also missing the parcel shelf so I contacted the branch and explained everything and sent pictures of the condition of the car I was told that this was an oversight and that they would pay for the car to be polished and cleaned inside and out which was fine I accepted that things get missed sometimes. As for the parcel shelf and the service book I was told it would be sent out ASAP so 10 days later it arrived but the service book still wasn’t right no stamps on book no way of telling the service history I was told it had a full service history but I have nothing to prove this a few days passed and I was contacted by someone in the service department telling me that the car was due a service to my horror I explained it was meant to be serviced on the 27th January by your own dealership. I’m still no wiser on the service history. It has put me off buying a car from VOLVO DUNDEE as I’ve totally lost confidence in them I shouldn’t be chasing them for things ie cleaning the car getting a parcel self getting a service book this was meant to be a smooth pleasant transaction not a FARCICAL one.

Update 29/03/2023

We’ll car was polished and valeted and Volvo was meant to pay £170 for this but won’t return my calls always in a meeting tried 3 times and won’t answer emails so I’m assuming Ive been bumped what a terrible service I have received I WILL never buy from VOLVO DUNDEE Again. I will need to go straight to the Boss I’m not chasing them anymore Ridiculous.

I have tried 4 times in the past 10 days to contact your Manager of your Volvo branch but he always seems to be busy funny enough and I’m told he will phone me back which he never does so don’t say you have tried to get a hold of me for 10 days as thats not the case. And I will not be calling him back anymore if he wants me he can call me.

Took my car in for a service and MOT was there for 8am on there first day back after the new year they MOT the car first then serviced it very efficient and the car was returned just before 10.30 washed and cleaned thank you guys for a brilliant job well done and I'll be back next year.
