Wow what a fantastic
Wow what a fantastic, quick service my car came back like new not only serviced but washed and hoovered … huge big up to Levi the lady who kept me in the loop throughout the morning , got picked up at 9 back at 12 fabulous… I can’t thank you all enough for your support and kindness and communication… 100 per cent great service all around highly recommended..

Negative experiences of the company
Booked service through Volvo app including, what for me on this occasion, was necessary pick up or courtesy car. Last time I tried the ‘lounge’ experience. After a long, long wait that day, it was an experience I resolved never to repeat. Booking went through, all set. However they waited two days to tell me there’d be no pick up and no courtesy car. Receptionist who called had a ‘couldn’t care less’ attitude and was pretty much ‘take it or leave it’. I chose to leave it. Arnold Clark on the other hand couldn’t have been more helpful. Based on this and a previous experience with one of their Land Rover dealers, who reneged on a new car deal to make more money out of me as Covid hit car supplies, this is not a company I trust or would deal with again.

We received a helpful straight forward service from Adam Cardy at Volvo Aberdeen. A few visits to the showroom finalising colour, specification etc. then one more visit for a little help placing our order - and 9 weeks later collecting our new XC90. The process to buy the car was…
The process to buy the car was straightforward and simple through the Volvo app.
The estimated dates of arrival through the app. didn't quite line up with the actual dates in the end, which made it quite difficult to plan.
We part exchanged our car for the new one, and the payment of the equity in our car took 6 days to reach our account from handover. Which is quite disappointing when payment of deposits etc. for the new car are required up front many days before collection.

Great Service
Extremely helpful staff, great services, respectable prices. Adam was our salesman very easy to deal with walked us through the buying of the car and 2 weeks later we had our xc60. Couldn't be happier with it.

Great Buying Experience
Recently purchased a car from John Clark Volvo and I am delighted with the service I received. There was great communication throughout, which meant I was fully aware of the purchase options and available extras etc. Collecting the car was seamless, with Adam Cardy spending time explaining the controls and setting up the car for me. I haven’t required any after sales assistance yet, but if it is as good as the sales experience, it will be good.

POOR AFTER SALES & USED VEHICLE ISSUES
Purchased an approved used vehicle in March 2025. Less than 3 weeks into ownership there have been multiple issues with the vehicle and it's been at a Volvo workshop at a different dealer. Alongside investigating a squeaking AC vent and multiple warning lights, they carried out a 'health check' which stated my wiper blades were insufficient, jacking block was missing and brake discs worn, advising replacement. Very disappointed and not what I was expecting from an approved used vehicle.
UPDATE 21/5/25 - @Sara It's been over 3 weeks since I left this review and I've had no contact from anyone in customer service. Unfortunately I have now revised my rating from 2 to 1 star due to this being unresolved with no attempt at communication.
UPDATE 23/7/25 - NO RESPONSE

Amazing service
Amazing service, the staff were really nice and friendly. Helped us with the questions and ensured a seamless handover of the car. They also have an amazing selection of cars. I would absolutely recommend them!

Disappointing handover preparation
Car was not prepared for pick up when purchasing - despite paying for supaguard treatment car was dirty inside throughout and had not been properly washed - missing patches on roof and wheels. Handover staff tried to improve hence not one star but in the end fact is that the job was not done. Overall very disappointed at attention to detail and lack of preparation and being charged for a treatment that did not take place.
