Purchased a second hand Volvo from John Clark Aberdeen. Terrible customer service, the only time they were proactive was too secure the sale. Car was dirty on handover, issues pointed out during viewing of the car were not rectified. Subsequent requests for information not answered. If you want efficient friendly service, look elsewhere.

Asked to email V5, completed the task, no response to email. Asked a couple of weeks later to email the V5 again. Told the dealership to look in their inbox.
Queried where the invoice was for the deposit.
On the app Volvo confirmed that the paperwork had not been sent and handover was approaching - why was I chasing it?
Signed the paperwork and then received the invoice.
The invoice for the deposit included the equity for the vehicle being traded in.
I was told by the dealership that because I had signed the contract I only had 3 options.
3 options given
1. Pay the full deposit and get a refund
2.Bring the car being traded in as soon as possible, receive the payment for it and then still pay the whole deposit.
3. Cancel the contract and start again
Decided to pay the full deposit but Volvo have confirmed that it was the dealership that submitted the figure for the invoice. The dealership maintained that it was Volvo’s fault, I was not buying the vehicle from them but from Volvo - this phrase has been used repeatedly.
Next difficulty the balloon payment for the car being traded in was taken from my bank account.
I asked if this would be sorted out and was told by the dealership that it would. When I queried this today by email I got no response. I had to phone the dealership and was told that it takes 7 days for it to go through but that they had just paid the finance on Friday. How on earth would that meet a deadline of the 29th. This information had been shared with the dealership with the v5 email that was not acknowledged
I was told again that I wasn’t buying a car from the dealership but from Volvo.
Rest assured I will only buy a car directly from Volvo, should I choose to and not inconvenience the dealership again as they wash their hands of any responsibility. You cannot play one party off against another. Who is the customer supposed to trust?

Helpful and respectful people to deal with.
Perhaps could have been clearer around the paintwork touch up repair process to manage expectations on bodywork finish - but I was happy with the car.

We responded to an email invitation and when we arrived at the dealership and was met by the salesperson (Adam) we did not feel pressurised into changing our car to a new one. We were given various options and chose the one that best suited us. After making the decision it was a seamless upgrade and the car was delivered before it's expected date. We are happy with our new car.

Had a visit to John Clark, Volvo Aberdeen yesterday for my yearly service and health check. Keys handed in at arranged time to the Service Supervisor and agreed work explained. Car was heading to the workshop as I left the premises.
Kept informed of progress by text & email. A first class service by all involved.

Just picked up our Volvo EX30 last week and very pleased with it. Noufal was very helpful and patient with us throughout the process.
Handover was good and useful update on the features of the EX30 we were not familiar with.
Unfortunately even after many attempts and support from a technical colleague they could not get the Digital Key function to work. We had to take the car without this feature but with assistance from our son quickly resolved the following day.
Overall very pleased with sales process (apart from lack of Digital Key setup) and all assistance and guidance from Noufal.

Many things but primarily the Vovlo salesman, Adam Cardy. Very knowledgable and discussed all options in a manner that was easy to understand. Also assited in concluding the paperwork side providing his expertise. During the handover of our new car Adam ran through all the functions required making it easy to drive away with confidence.
Additionally, the showroom was extremely welcoming and clean and other staff very friendly.
