John Clark Motor Group - John Clark Select Stirling Anmeldelser 

Having dealt with a few other dealerships (unaffiliated to the JC Motor Group), I wasn’t sure what to expect when I popped in for a look at one of their cars as most of my experiences previously felt pushy and not 100% oriented towards high customer satisfaction. However, I can’t fault Gordon Bennet at all for the positive experience and overall friendly/welcoming environment that he provided. After taking the car for a test drive, there were a few minor things noted which were subsequently dealt with prior to collection (car hadn’t been through the inspection process at this stage). That aside, Gordon was very helpful and honest when answering questions / concerns I had, immediately putting my mind at ease with the many stresses that come with such a big financial decision. Absolutely would recommend Gordon and the rest of the team at John Clark Select Stirling to anyone in the market for a new car!

Gordon Bennett was a joy to deal with even picked up myself and my wife from the train station 1st class service. Explained everything to me and the car was as described. 1st impressions of this dealership and Gordon are very positive. Going forward when I am looking for another car for myself, wife or family I will be sure to give Gordon a phone.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with John Clark Jaguar Land Rover in Stirling. My vehicle had a persistent engine management light, with fault codes relating to NOx emissions. I was advised to pay £198 for a full vehicle assessment, which I did, and was told the issue would be resolved by replacing the EGR valve and a few other parts – costing me over £530.

Despite specifically asking if these repairs would fix the issue for good, I was reassured that they would. However, just a day after collecting my car (and having driven less than 70 miles), the engine light reappeared.

When I returned to the garage, I was told I’d now need to spend another £200 to address new issues – which I find baffling, as I had already seen these fault codes myself (using a basic OBD tool) before their initial assessment. If they were there all along, why weren’t they addressed in the first place? And if they genuinely are new, how could they possibly arise less than 24 hours after a supposed fix?

To make things worse, the team was uncooperative and unsympathetic, offering no real accountability or explanation for why I had to spend £750 with no resolution. The only suggestion was to now spend even more.

I’ve raised these concerns with customer support, but so far, no meaningful solution has been offered. I feel let down, misled, and frankly out of pocket for repairs that didn’t fix the problem.

Would not recommend.

Gordon was excellent all the way through, Alloys needed some work and this was done to a great standard and without complaint.

Chris Thomson made this the easiest and least stressful car purchase I have ever made! From initial contact to Colin delivering I cannot fault the service I have received. It was a distance sale so Chris sent a very detailed video, pointed out everything I could ever need to know, he was so thorough, totally put my mind at ease of not seeing it before I bought. Answered all my questions promptly (even the silly ones), kept me right and was not pushy in the slightest, he was a total joy to deal with! I was torn between 2 cars/different companies at the start and was sure I would go for the other car, Chris is 100% the reason I purchased from JC Stirling - Can't praise enough - No need to use after care yet but I am sure I would receive the same service & friendliness should I need to. I bought my car from John Clark Select Stirling, I dealt with Chris, he was very informative and helpful. Chris was not pushy in anyway and answered any questions I had, he was also quick to reply to any emails / calls that I made.

I recently passed my driving test and had looked around for a few options, we stopped off at JC Motor group and was greeted by Jack, he couldn’t of been nicer, he was really accommodating despite me being really indecisive. I did have a few questions but he assured me that this would all be taken care of which it was to really high standard. Jack is a real asset to the Stirling team, couldn’t recommend him enough. The car did need a few repairs before I got to leave with it but that was all taken care of before. I always felt spoken down too in car dealerships hence why I never did it but Jack remained professional and answered all my questions without making me feel stupid. Thank you Jack, love my car. Will likely return in the future.

I purchased a vehicle in October, a few weeks ago the vehicle went in for a problem with the boot not opening, check of the tailgate anlignment and unusual wear on the rear near side tyre. When I picked the vehicle up I was informed that the boot struts needed replacing, that they had checked the boot boot alignment and that there was nothing wrong with it. They stated that they had checked to tyre and there was nothing wrong a problem with the tyre it was just the way it had worn “it happens like that sometimes “ is what I was told. I have today found out that there was a condition report completed which said that the brakes were in the red banding on the report and that the tyre inflation fluid went out of date in 2020, four years before I purchased the car. I was handed back a vehicle that would have been an MOT failure and not told about it. If you are thinking of putting your money and trust into this company I urge you to think again.

We saw a car in your showroom online further away from us and after a call with Christopher Thomson and a very detailed video we decided to purchase the car. We needed the car fairly quickly and Christopher took time out of his weekend off to deliver the car to a local garage for us. He went out of his way and we are grateful and very happy with the service received.
