Joke of a company, care more about a family of smack heads than a working class family with a poorly baby

Terrible housing association with no regard or respect for tenants. It’s well known not to bother contacting them as the answer is always no!
They contacted us tenants to say new windows and doors were to be fitted. No explanation of the process which led to misinformation provided by external contractors which then led to me moving all of my furniture as I was expecting the window fitters, when actually, an asbestos surveyor attended which we were not informed of. As explained to Jigsaw at the time, I have fibromyalgia and undertaking big physical activities creates a lot of pain for me, but they were less than interested about their failures! Upon submitting a complaint, Ryan, the project manager, contacted me to blame everyone but himself, so I submitted another complaint requesting the information of the process to be provided to tenants as no-one was happy with the measures taken and no-one had any idea what was actually going on! That was 5 weeks ago and I still haven’t received any information. Now I am starting a new job so won’t be able to provide access and I will not be handing my keys over to strangers as suggested to another neighbour! Anglian (the company fitting the windows) have been on the street for the past week and if the housing would have acted with professionalism, I could have provided access this week, but instead they have chosen to ignore me and access is no longer available! Sunday morning at 8am the asbestos removal company woke the street up, which again was not conveyed to us and as it is the only day we all get a lie-in, this did not go down well nor with my neighbour who works nights! Their actions, or lack of, just proves how ignorant they are to the needs of their tenants.
They have also failed to provide information on the asbestos survey which has been confirmed in some properties. Since moving in 25yrs ago, I have had windows replaced and no tests were undertaken which makes me wonder if they have put myself and my family in harms way……they won’t admit that though as they are more concerned about covering up their failings than being professional and doing the right thing!
I am disgusted with how they have organised this project and their lack of regard for the people who live in these homes.
When I addressed the shed that is falling apart, they actually tried to gift it to me so they don’t have to address it themselves!!
Management should be held to account for their lack of care. I have spoken to my neighbours and they all feel the same. Shame on you all!

All members of the team were polite and helpfull at every stage of the process.
From the initial bid to signing the tenancy agreement staff at Jigsaw made sure that I understood what was being discussed and gave advice on where I could get help with a range of issues.

Going from sofa surfing to having my own place has removed a lot stress and worry from my life.

Within a month I was able to move into my new build with no issues or bumps. Michelle was helpful from start to end. Looking forward to my journey with Jigsaw hoping for the best

This housing association is part of a cartel and borderline criminality in they way they treat their residents. Beware the shared ownership model it is weighted entirely towards Jigsaw to take as much money from you as possible alive and when a resident passes away they hang around like Jackals to feed in the estates carcass! My aunt did not know when she signed up to their scam operation that they would on her passing make it very difficult to sell her flat and definitely she did not know that they would swoop in and take a ridiculously large percentage from the sale. The property sold on a 50/50 equity for £100k for her estate and Jigsaw waited until completion to declare via our solicitor that they wanted to take £23k in fees based on some small print for doing nothing at all! My aunt paid them a service fee for 20 years and this stealth kick in her memory was totally unexpected. They are a disgusting organisation no better than timeshare con merchants. Avoid both Jigsaw homes and shared ownership if you can because it's an operation for funding overpaid senior managers who do not deserve to benefit from vulnerable peoples estates. By the way they will just sit smuggly behind their terms and conditions, the light is shining on this industry and it needs stronger caps and regulations. I will be reporting them to the Ombudsman and the press as a point of principle to hopefully help other people avoid this legalised crime syndicate.

Katie Woods was so helpful, I feel she went above and beyond for me. It has been a stressful journey but with the right result in the end for me.

Katie was really helpful and guided me through everything. She explained things clearly and made the process a lot easier.

Katie was very helpful from start to finish. Provided me with all information I needed and talked me through the process of becoming a new tenant. No complaints at all with Jigsaw. Once moved in and energy provider was transferred they had an engineer at my property within 24 hours to reconnect my gas supply.

Simon from Gigsaw was amazing. Helped me through out the whole process. Simon took his time to show me and explain to me everything. With it being my first council property I had a lot of questions and Simon was kind and patient enough to answer everything I have asked about. Very happy with the service I have received 🙂

Despite me self harming due to this women she failed to recognise this and put in no support. As a vulnerable adult I was very concerned. She also failed to recognise that I was placed under this restriction covertly which is a breech of my human rights

Dear Appeal – Restricted Contact Conditions
I am writing to you following your request to appeal the company’s decision to apply our
Unreasonable Behaviour Policy restricted contact conditions.
Your appeal has been passed to me as a senior manager not involved in the original
decision to apply our policy.
In reaching a decision regarding your appeal request, I have reviewed all necessary
correspondence in relation to the decision to restrict contact and heard your appeal
during our online meeting on Friday 11th April.
As a responsible employer, Jigsaw Homes has a duty of care towards its staff and will
take action where necessary to protect them. Your contact REMOVED is having a
negative impact and causes him distress.
During our meeting you admitted that you have been challenging and difficult and also
repeatedly refused to abide by any contact restrictions put upon you, specifically in
relation to contacting.
Based on the evidence provided, my decision on your appeal is, therefore, that the
current contact restrictions should remain in place. These restrictions should have no
impact on you as there is no intention on restricting access to the service.
By way of a reminder, the restrictions are as follows:
1. All communications must be respectful and courteous
2. You must not contact the REMOVED
directly or copy him into any correspondence.
3. You must not make derogatory comments REMOVED

The lady Michelle was clear and very helpfull. Nice and polite and made us feel welcomed.

Left vulnerable to death by fire/smoke. No action being taken. I have been in a new build property for nearly 2 weeks and have been left with a defective or intentionally bad designed door which breeches 3 fire safety building laws. Despite multiple complaints and phone calls I am still unable to receive any action. I am sleeping with my door ajar at night because I don't feel safe or reliable in exiting my front door. The mechanism sticks and the housing say "it is spring loaded so you have to push/pull as you unlock". Even if this worked smoothly it would still break the fire safety protocols of a door being reliably operable and opening immediately. If I had a guest and they don't know the nuance of the door they would die. This is completely utterly drastically irresponsible from the landlord and what they keep doing is referring it to the contractor who built the properties because that is their protocol for the first 12 months. The problem here is the contractor has fit the door as the type they were told so refuse to do anything. Jigsaw just keep referring back to the contractor. I am beyond stressed and depressed with the situation and feel my life is in actual danger. I cannot leave or return stress free to my property. I draw your attention to the following legal obligations, which apply to this situation:.

The Building Regulations 2010 – Requirement B1: Means of Warning and Escape

> “The building shall be designed and constructed so that there are appropriate provisions for the early warning of fire, and appropriate means of escape in case of fire from the building to a place of safety outside the building capable of being safely and effectively used at all material times.”

Approved Document B: Volume 1 – Dwellings (2022 edition)

Section 2.10 (Page 36):

> “All doors on escape routes should be readily openable. Doors on escape routes should not be fitted with locks requiring the use of a key. […] The mechanisms should operate reliably and be operable under all conditions likely to be encountered in a fire situation.”

Despite this, the current door mechanism is not reliably operable, and in its present state would not comply with these requirements.

Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 – Article 14(2)(f):

> “Emergency doors must not be so locked or fastened that they cannot be easily and immediately opened by any person who may require to use them in an emergency.”

The fact that the door intermittently fails to open effectively constitutes a breach of this legal obligation. The fact that the doors are noted to be 'spring loaded' and require massive force to push or pull before the lock will release is a serious breach of this since I would not expect any guest of mine to know the nuance of the door and it does not open immediately as stated in this clause.

Lauren was calm and answered all questions and queries I had . She was polite and welcoming .

Lauren was prompt professional and very helpful throughout the whole process. She made the move pleasant and stress free.

I emailed in January 2025 for a rent refund, several weeks passed no reply, I phoned spoke to rent officer Michelle, she didn't apologise that nobody had replied and said they had to email UC first to see if I owed any money to DWP. I explained that I owed money from previous years but am paying back on an agreed plan with DWP.
At this point she spoke about me getting back intouch with her on the 24th March and would sort a refund of £271.
I rang back on the 24th as per and another lady looked at the notes Michelle had left on my rent account and she arranged a refund. 30 minutes later Michelle phoned saying the other lady didn't have the authority to arrange rent refund and AGAIN said she would email UC. At this point I'm really annoyed because I don't get any benefits!! This overpayment of rent came from my hard earned cash and was paid a little extra per month infront just incase they offered me new accommodation (bidding on properties) and I know they would require two weeks in advance... Now I need the money for unforeseeable expenses...
Cannot believe it's nearly end of March and I requested the refund in January.

Alison was helpful, understanding and communicated very well.
I was well informed throughout the entire process of getting me a new home, not once did I feel confused.

Finding a new place after a bereavement was made into an easier experience than I expected, thank you!
