We went into the shop today to look at laminate and were lucky to be greeted by John. He was so informative, friendly and far from pushy which we loved! We think John deserves an extra day off this month for his exceptional customer service!

The staff really know what they’re talking about and can offer diff options to get the best deal. The fitters are quick and professional. I’ve had at least six diff carpets over the years and no problems. They have a huge range at lark hall

Went in to buy carpets for a full house , had measurements but insisted they come out and measure up , asked for full house to be measured 3 bedrooms , living room , hall / stairs and Lino for kitchen , guy came out measured everywhere , waited 3 days then they call to give price over phone , was given 10o/o discount , this included under felt grippers and carpet bars , carpet fitter to be paid cash on the day £425 , what we got was all house carpeted apart from living room ( most important room in house), they insisted this was not included , absolutely conned by jem carpets whiteinch , whole house means whole house what’s not to understand , when I was given price I was told it was for the whole house , when confronted they were no help what so ever , pay another £350 if u want living room carpet. Dishonest dealings AVOID

We have used Jem carpets (Bishopbriggs, originally Summerston store showing how many years we have used them) for many years without any real issue, the service and dismissal of assurances made by 2 members of staff over several occasions, means this will be the last time we every use them again.

We were getting vinyl fitted in our hall and I had beading already purchased but never used from a previous time via Jem. We asked at the outset if we could use this to finish it off around the ground floor hallway (won't bore you with why etc) but whilst I had the beading we would need the fitters to nail this beading or glue it. We were advised that won't be an issue in the shop when looking before buying. They came out to measure and were asked again at that time, same response. I popped in a few weeks before they were to be fitted and again asked and again same. My wife went to pay it all (apart from fitting as usual) and asked again, guess what same answer!

You know where this is going, fitters arrived 8am 'we don't do that', 'nothing on the job sheet', so once the shop opened at 9am my wife called and the person in the shop said basically she was wrong and that it was never confirmed. She asked to speak to the manager who conveniently wasn't in or actually might have been off, so she asked for the area manager to call.

She did get a call and basically the same response, albeit when my wife named the people involved she was advised they should never have said that to her!

No offer to make things right, no offer to get someone else out to do the work (I have no issue in paying for it, but not even given the option) or indeed to silicone the vinyl (which the fitter says could be done, but they themselves couldn't do it, it would need to be someone else).

Very poor customer service, basically denying all the confirmation we got, ultimately saying we were lying but happy enough to take the business and money and wash their hands of the matter. I would urge people to get anything agreed in writing, I didn't as said before we have used them many times without issue and no reason to assume they would do this!

Not happy , went into jem carpets whiteinch and explained i wanted a whole house carpeted and lino for kitchen, picked a basic carpet just to get us in and was told guy would come out & measure, , few days later got phone call to say they could deliver & fit in a week , when fitter arrived stated that the living room carpet was not included , when i queried this they stated that because the carpet for the stairs & living room carpet were the same size thats where the confusion is 🤔, The guy that measured , measured every room & living room , then as i said gave me the price over the phone , stating this was for the whole house, when i phoned jem carpets about the living room carpet he insisted this was not included , why would i get a whole house carpeted & not get livingroom one , most important room in the house , going on the price i payed it didnt add up so i asked for receipt to look at what was included in the price as when i added it up it the carpets all came to half of what i paid so the rest was on grippers for stairs underlay & door bars , surely thats not right , never once was i asked what quality of underlay i wanted or even told the price of underlay , so when i got the itemised bill sure enough they charged me £420 for underlay for 3 tiny bedrooms & stairs/hall way, £70 fir grippers for stairs , £49 for 7 carpet bars , £42 for spray glue x7 £20 delivery a total of £601 was added to the bill for extras , at no time was i given the choice of quality of underlay as this amount of £601 was excessive , This is underhand sales tactics and not explained at time of purchase and will never use them again and still dont have living room carpet . On top if the £1130 i was another £425 for fitting , which i might add the fitters were great and done a good job , but iv spent a total of £1555.00 and as i say still dont have carpet for the main room in house , customer service in shop was terrible and no option to resolve apart from me spending a further £320 for living carpet that i thought was included in my previous order and through no fault of ours was not . No mistake on my part except trusting them to do what i asked of them and that was to carpet full house

After trailing around many showroom looking for flooring(and often being ignored) I went to Jem Carpets in Hillington. I spoke to Ryan and told him what I was looking for and showed him a few things I liked. He explained the differences to me which really helped make my mind up, he priced up the vinyl I’d decided on (which was great value) and told me how to book the fitter when I was ready. Today Gerry (the fitter) came and laid the flooring, it’s perfect just what I wanted, in fact it’s better than I had imagined. Gerry did a great job fitting it and he put the kickbars back onto my kitchen units. He also offered advice on cleaning and looking after the floor. I am absolutely delighted with the my flooring, it was a pleasure to deal with Ryan and Gerry, who take pride in their work and care about customer satisfaction. I’m happy to recommend.

We recently purchased carpets from Jem in Bishopbriggs. The assistant in store was really helpful without being pushy and allowed us to take our time to select the carpet we wanted.
Our carpet came in store very quickly and Jem kept this for us until we were ready for fitting.
Following fitting a fault was found in the carpet. The area manager came to our home to inspect this and said that we were to have a replacement carpet. He was very apologetic. A replacement was ordered and again arrived quickly and was fitted with no problems this time. Jem kept us informed at all times with what was happening and apologised for any inconvenience.
I would not hesitate to use Jem carpets in Bishopbriggs and would recommend them.

Paisley branch:
Went in picked a carpet, arranged a date for measurements and got a call with a price.
I called to pay and they couldn't find the invoice. I left them to locate it and called back. I got a man who said to me through a sarcastic laugh - you picked a carpet - you didn't order it or you'd have paid for it, so you've got us looking for an invoice that doesn't exist. I told him, when we came in we picked the carpet, offered a deposit and was told no that measurements need to happen first and that the guys had measured and we were called yesterday with a quote and all I was doing was calling to pay.
He said "aye well there's nae invoice because we've no had any payment." I said legally when you ask for a payment that is the invoice because an invoice is a request for payment.
He said "Naw you pay then you get an invoice number" ... that's not how it normally works I said. He was letting out little sarcastic laughs the whole time.
I told him I though he was being very sarcastic and rude and I thought that was not right to be cheeky to a customer and asked to speak to someone else he said "ahm the manager"
So when I said don't bother then we'll go somewhere else he said "naw hold it here's the boy that measured for your carpet talk tae him."
I said no thank you.
Shocking customer service.
If that's the experience just trying to pay - god help anyone if anything goes wrong and you have to complain.

I recently had carpets fitted by the Hillingdon branch of Jem Carpets. I can honestly say that the company is a gem in the world of carpets. From start to finish the service was excellent.
The sales team were fantastic ,especially the two Johns.They were incredibly helpful and informative taking the time to explain the different options without ever being pushy. It made the whole process relaxed and enjoyable rather than stressful.
Neil who came out to measure and provide the estimate was equally impressive. He and William carefully planned the layout and managed to save a significant amount of wastage compared to an estimate I had previously received from a well-known carpet retailer.The level of attention and honesty was greatly appreciated.
Finally a big thank you to William and his fitting team. They were friendly professional and clearly take great pride in their work. The fitting was carried out to a superb standard and all carpet pieces were removed.
Overall an excellent experience from the initial visit to the final fitting. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jem Carpets to anyone looking for outstanding carpets and quality service.

We recently bought a carpet from the Bishopbriggs store and from the salesman down to Paul the carpet fitter I can not recommend the shop highly enough , Paul done a fantastic job fitting our carpet , thanks again

From start to finish, every member of staff I’ve dealt with at Jem Carpets Hillington have been exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they are so helpful and accommodating. Gerry, the carpet fitter was great too, great workmanship, gave great advice for an awkward area at the top of my stairs and gave tips on how to care for my carpet runner as well as the stairs and the porch. Would recommend Jem Carpets Hillington to everyone!

I had Gerry from Jem Carpets in Hillington fit my stairs and hallway carpet yesterday and he done a fantastic job. So thorough and knew his job well - told me lots of tips and tricks to keep the carpet clean and what to avoid. Excellent job!

We recently used Jem Carpets in Hillington and were really impressed with the whole experience.

From start to finish, Peter was fantastic – he managed the entire process for us and made sure everything ran smoothly.

We did have a small issue early on with fitter availability, but Peter quickly stepped in and got it all sorted without any fuss.

The level of customer service and communication from the team was excellent, and they genuinely went the extra mile to make sure we were happy.

The carpets/flooring looks great, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the final result. Would absolutely recommend Jem Carpets Hillington – thanks again to Peter and the team for all your help!

I would like to thank Jim at Bishopbriggs who helped us from start to finish with our new carpet. He was professional and friendly all the way and told us, if there's any issues to speak to him. Thankfully there weren't any issues. He communicated well and kept us informed of when the new carpets will arrive and the fitting date.

Despite living in Greenock, we chose David at Jem Carpets in Bishopbriggs—and glad we did. After a flood, we decided to redo the entire house—a massive job—and David supported us well. From the start, David took the time to understand exactly what we wanted to achieve and gave us options based on our budget.

We went with Invictus herringbone LVT throughout, with carpet on the stairs. The Invictus looks brilliant—better than the Karndean we had before. While the initial carpet fitting on the stairs wasn’t perfect, David resolved it quickly.

The joiners from Drummond Joinery, especially William, are top-notch. Cracking job with the herringbone.

We could’ve gone local, but the service elsewhere was awful—ranging from poor to being ignored. Jem Carpets stood out.

Folks, we needed a carpet runner with whipping/binding for a stair with an angled curve, then a half landing and a top landing to be fully carpeted. Looked around Jem Carpets Larkhall, fantastic displays, nice shop, spoke to Laura, was given samples, great advice, I was impressed by the way we were treated, picked the carpet. Jem Carpets fitter came out measured and recommended a better underlay due to the old creaky stairs at no extra cost. Jem Carpets informed me of the cost and I said yes. Yes I had to get my whipping/binding by the amazing Donna in Baillieston. Then the 3 best carpet fitting dudes in Scotland turn up, I'm sorry if the spelling is wrong but Gregor, David and Mark Scott are outstanding tradesmen. I highly recommend Jem Carpets Larkhall 100%. No duff, great experience dealing with this company from start to finish.
