No value loaded onto Wetherspoon's gift card
Bought my 83 year old mother and her partner Wetherspoon's gift cards in December for Christmas from the Jolly Tars in Cleveleys. They visited Wetherspoon's only to be told there was nothing on his gift card. My husband visited and spoke to the Manageress Julie who said that the amount on his card might have gone on my mother's card. Unfortunately she doesn't remember us giving her a card. So well done Wetherspoon's you have done an elderly couple out of at least £20.00, maybe £40.00. Have written to head office but not heard anything.. DON'T BUY GIFT VOUCHERS, GIVE CASH.

Have used this pub many times since it opened most of the time walking there.We had no idea that a parking scheme had been introduced and have now been caught out to the sum of £45 - £75 WHAT!!!!!!!
It's made worse because Euro Car Parks have it all wrong, they caught the car on the way in to drop me off in pouring rain the next picture is taken 3.5 hours later when they came to pick me up.
It is dangerous to stop on the corner at the front of the building so pick up and drop off at the back is sensible and safe thing to do but if their equipment doesn't work correctly why should we, their customers pay. Again the management at the outlet was most unhelpful, failing to own the problem.
Is it up for sale or even closure as the Daventry rumour mill seem to be saying??

I have just been to the Woodthorpe top wetherspoons and it is probably the best toilets I have seen in a wethys!! They are usually smelly and awful. The other one that is good is the TBI on Trent bridge, all the rest are awful!!

As usual the food outweighs the service.... My daughter booked a table for 12 at Hednesford in Staffordshire with some difficulty. They wanted a deposit which is ridiculous in its self... Not to mention the negative attitude. We all arrived 15 minutes before our DEADLINE (18.15pm Tuesday 18th February 2020) as we were warned if we were not there our reservation would be cancelled and we wouldn't be guaranteed our seating.... Well what a surprise.... When we arrived there were reservation signs... But on 3 separate tables... Who wants to enjoy a birthday with all your family but separated or backs to one another??? Even when we asked the staff it was just a case of... "Well there is nothing we can do".... We ended up just getting on with it as no one wanted to make a fuss as it would spoil the evening.... Nevertheless.... Some staff were also pretty cold and unresponsive with us... Senior ones especially.... Younger girls were lovley....

Ordered off the app. To the incorrect pub. called them and the people all ready took the drink and wouldn’t offer me a refund. Absolutely hideous. They are all the same company and should do that. I am disgusted.
We usually like wetherspoons but....
We usually like wetherspoons. We have been all over the country. But on Wednesday 12th February 2020, we went to The Five Swans in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Itvwas newly refurbished so we thought we would give it a go. It was our wedding anniversary and we went there for drinks as part of an afternoon/evening out.
We ordered a large bottle of fizz for Mrs M. I dont drink it so I had a beer. We then looked at the food menu and noticed a lot, but not all, had been taken off the menu. We ordered available food and another beer for me, but we then heard fron a staff that all the food was off so we would get a full refund. I went to the bar to try and get a pint, but was told everything was off because there was 'no water' and they couldn't serve anything. So Mrs M was sat with nearly a full bottle of fizz and me with no food and no beer. Afterwards, a server came over with a beer, apologised and produced a pint 'as a gesture of good.'
I drank it and waited for Mrs M to finish her bottle of wine and we left.
1. Given there was literally minutes between ordering the fizz/pint and the food being taken off, staff must have been aware there was an issue when we ordered but said nothing.
2. I went to the bar and was refused a pint, but staff then produced a pint for me about 5-10 minutes later.
3. We were refunded for the meals LESS the cost of the pint, so the 'gesture of good will' was nonsense.
So, not good. Total lack of communication so Mrs M is left to drink a big bottle when staff must have known there was an ongoing issue. Inconsistent service. Paid for a gesture of good will. Yeah thanks for nothing.

Curry night !! Ordered sweet potato curry with side of chips, meal came rice was cold onion bhaji burnt , sent it back it came back out all the same food just microwaved a bit still not good poppadoms soggy don’t recommend the HALF MOON IN BETHNAL GREEN . Worst service I’ve had in a Wetherspoon!!!!!
Ripped off by car park charges
I have been a loyal Wetherspoons customer for many years now however on a recent trip to the Saracens Head Daventry we had made several visits through January only two now receive parking tickets because they have implemented a car park number plate recognition system. We were totally unaware of this and as you can imagine now face having to pay fines. I had called the pub and asked to speak to the manager who was very unhelpful. Just told me I had to contact euro Parks I asked for the manager's name. They wouldn't give me their name I was then told I was shouting and he put the phone down on me that was the extent of their help. For visiting the pub both myself who has two tickets my partner has received one and my son's girlfriend for entering their car park and going in and using their facilities as far as I'm concerned. That's it. I will never visit Wetherspoons pub again shameful. Disgusting way to treat your customers having apeeled and sent in a receipt of proof of purchase. I am still being hounded by euro Car Parks . I would have expected some help from Wetherspoons I'm now potentially being find quite a considerable amount of money for going in and eating a meal in their pub. Just because I didn't enter a registration number there is no parking limit in the car park. It's free to park, but you're required to put a registration number in. This is a cry for help if Wetherspoons value their customers, then they need to do something about this. Visited The Railway wetherspoons Rainham was not very busy less than half full of customers . Waited 1hour 20 mins for breakfast still didn't arrive after that, left after asking for refund.
They didn't seem too bothered about the lack of service.to us Manager just thought it was funny that we had to wait that long.

Use Wetherspoons quite a bit and visited the William Dampier yesterday. Very efficient bar staff - the food was good and the waiting staff excellent particularly Gemma who never seemed to stop working all the time that we were there.
