Terrible decision to use Gunn JCB, at Altrincham for a diagnosis/repair on my mini excavator,
Paid £400 plus vat for fitter to attend,
Failed to attempt on appointment day,
Did attend following day
Spent 2.5 hours fiddling around
I was supposed to receive a full report with option of another visit to further assess or estimate to supply parts+labour to fix issue the fitter thought it required,
6 weeks later , nothing, rang up numerous times, sent emails to complaints department, ignored totally, only feedback was solitary email stating they where struggling to identify a part with JCB,
Absolute disgraceful behaviour,
Obviously, I think only interested in big companies purchasing new machines,
Took my money quickly enough mind,
Soul trader, Oldham ,

I do not recommend this product to anyone. I bought this for my children to try and teach the rascals some independence but my sons both cut themselves on the sides of the board whilst putting it on the wall.

Wish there was an option to leave zero stars for this morally bankrupt, without ethics for this disgusting company.

I have never left a review for anthing this is first and after been customer off Jcb for 31 years must say disappointed with level off customer service from both people at Tch and jcb world headquarters customer service

Long wait times for service appointments, delayed arrival of technicians, inconsistent service quality. Nerul services center is very horrible experience

while on a pedestrian crossing a car sped in front of me if I had not stopped it would without doubt have run into me and my dog, I live in a village where workers at JCB Rocester speed through the village to get to work there was a time when my Wife almost got run down by a JCB employed idiot.

Now this one really was stupid in a JCB car registration JCB 91 , you would have thought that with such a distinctive registration they would use some common sense, and set an example, they are a bad advert for the JCB group which I am sure would not be appreciated, be warned the driver of this car with such a registration you are instantly recognisable and will be reported to the Police if this stupidity is repeated. WELL DONE JCB NOT EVEN THE COURTESY OF A REPLY, SAYS A LOT ABOUT THE DRIVER AND THE COMPANY.

An internationally renowned brand. Their telescopic lifters, forklifters and all that jazz is used in so many construction sites around the world. I am no expert in construction and building things but I have seen it so much.

From employees on Monkey dust* even though they had a JCB MEDICAL 🏥 which was 😟 completely pants! From employees on mobile phones 📱 whilst other people are working their backsides off!

Their machines are built by people who don’t care. I worked very hard their, the managers were not bothered, they were sending out totally crap machines which they knew would fail for the customers, hoping that the retail sector like JCB Gunn and others would sort out the issues for the main manufacturing process.

You see JCB is all about the numbers, not quality, sell sell sell!! They left it to The Warranty guys and girls to sort out.

Members of my family work their and now because of contract losses like Sunbelt rentals, the manipulation starts where your work on the shop floor is tampered with overnight, and then the managers tell you off when the line stops in theory. ( you see when I finished work, I took pictures of my work, come the morning, items were off the machines, then they try to blame you when sly twisted managers who manipulate the situation try to blame you. Photo evidence is the best, Martin. I would not be proud if I was you.

For anybody thinking of purchasing jcb’s I would Look elsewhere.

My husband has for many years taken on various machines from JCB. 9 times out of 10 they break down or have serious issues and problems. We are only a small business but this is our bread and butter and we can’t afford to lose money because our machines are not reliable.JCB grew from a small business but I believe that they have lost touch with their history because without us where would they be. I keep telling my husband not to get any more machines from JCB. But he keeps giving them a 2nd chance. The last thing I wanted to say is that my husband ordered another machine 18 Months ago and it is not here but a larger company who ordered several of the same machines 6 months ago are . Where is the fairness in this. And to fix the problem we have right now will take 4-6weeks because it has to be flown from the UK , I mean what are they doing Digging the ore for the part. Company got to big for their britches and little people no longer matter. Wow

I purchased a new HTD 5 tracked dumper about 4 month ago. It has broken down 5 times in that time. Terrible for a simple machine that cost over £9000.

JCB are full of platitudes, but fail each and every time to fix the issues. Frankly I’d rather they be rude and effective, rather than nice and ineffective.

The major issues are fluid leaks, hydraulic and oil, which it seems to me are down to poor manufacturing. I’m lead to believe by their engineers that a hydraulic hoses was glued on use an adhesive rather than crimped, from example.

Minor issues include a wonky bonnet that catches every time it’s opened, the stop button being sticker on the opposite side the actual lever. The bucket lifts up in the opposite direction to the sticker. The engine starter pull cord is absolutely terrible to use.

Generally I feel there is a lack of attention to detail and quality control. Very disappointing from a British company with British staff.

After many complaints I was offered an extension on the warranty and a free service. Two days after the free service was carried out the machine broke down again.

I’ve over 25 years experience using heavy and light machinery in my business. I’ve never had these issues with a Japanese machine.

I’ve requested a replacement machine as I need reliability from my equipment. I can’t afford the massive inconvenience these breakdowns are causing my small business. JCB, please action this straight away.

For a company of its size, I am disappointed that JCB doesn't have an approved used machine search facility on their website. When I spoke to one of their dealers they said JCB removed this function from their website a while ago and hasn't bothered to replace it.
Not great for a company that some claim to be the best of British manufacturing.
