Mr. Levy fails to respond to emails, text or call. He has moved offices and failed to keep clients informed.

I hired the Law Firm of James Michael Levy, because she was recommended. She said she was experienced but didn’t tell my about going to jail and made life bad for parents. My son was taken by his mother to the USA. I needed some help to get my son back.

Don’t trust the Law Firm of James Michael Levy, or his last scam Project rescue child. he took $32,000 to get start but then she “resigns” from my case without fixing the errors in the United States Supreme Court documents and she never returned any money either and blocked me.

Once I sent him the retainer all of that stopped. Communication with Mr. Levy was awful. Most of the time he was completely unresponsive to any mode of communication. I had a very negative experience with Mr. Levy and would not recommend him to anyone, ever. All I can say is buyer beware. Attorney James Levy (Florida Bar Number 177237) is the worst lawyer I've ever encountered. Avoid him at all cost. If you use him you'll likely have an extremely painful experience.

I chose Mr. Levy to handle my divorce because at first glance he had positive reviews. I initially met with him to help me with a very simple divorce case. The divorce was uncontested, no children, with a prenuptial agreement in place. A case could not be more simple. Mr. Levy advertised a 3-4 week turn around once retained (2 weeks to draft paperwork & 2 weeks to process with courts). I agreed to work with him due to the rapid turn-around he was advertising. I was on a timeline because I'm military and was slated to deploy 3 months later, so it was important that the case be finished inside of that time-frame (which was reasonable). He said it wouldn't be a problem and should take no more than 1 month.

In the end it took Mr. Levy 3 months to draft the paperwork (with me having to constantly prod him the entire way) and an additional month for him to file. The filing didn't happen until after I was overseas. Once I left the country Mr. Levy ceased all communications with me. He wouldn't return my phone calls or emails (dozens of each left). It took me coordinating with & physically sending an associate into his office with a power-of-attorney to get Mr. Levy to file the paperwork. After all of that, when he finally submitted the divorce package to the county it was incomplete (missing 1 simple document)! After filing he again ceased communications with me. Because of this my case sat in the court system for an additional 2 months before I was able to retain other counsel to finish the job. Overall it took more than 6 months for my extremely simple case to be resolved, and in the end I had to use someone else to finish the job.

At first glance Mr. Levy comes across as professional and credible. When I first me with him he seemed to know what he was talking about when it came to FL family legal matters and initially he was punctual and responsive. James M. Levy, Florida Bar Number 177237 is one of the single worst attorneys I have ever dealt with. He triple bills his time, doing outrageous things like taking two hours to send a 2 sentence email. Furthermore he is a liar and has the worst follow through and work ethic. I honestly don't know how this guy accomplishes a single thing. It seems to be difficult for James Levy to return a simple phone call even with the understanding that I am paying for his time.

If you want to deal with his incompetent legal scumbag and get charged his full rate, this is the guy to hire. If you are looking for a good skilled attorney, James M. Levy should be at the bottom of your list.

I am a victim of fraud by attorney James M. Levy. Levy was my attorneys in a personal injury case, which was lost due to the corruption of Levy and making false statements in front of the court. I also turned in evidence and statements to more than 10 insurance companies who contacted me about the James Levy and his insurance fraud.

As a result, James Levy sent multiple process servers to my home to harass me. Instead of serving me with all documents from the lawyers he had them deliver each document separately, with the process servers screaming and beating on my door. The State Bar is investigating James Levy for unethical and criminal conduct. Levy needs to be investigated by the FBI for witness tampering and intimidation. This lawyer is a total crook. Ultimately I started questioning his billing and James Levy headed for the hills.

My only hope is that by writing this report I will help others from getting robbed. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from James M. Levy in Destin, Florida. Check around and call someone else that actually knows what they are doing. This guy is an absolute piece of ?sh??

I hired Attorney James M. Levy, Florida Bar Number 177237 and he met with me and my mother ONCE in person for any type of in-depth consultation.

Attorney James M. Levy stated on multiple occasions that he was going to file a motion for my divorce and custody and NEVER did. He then neglected to contact me after I paid him a retainer of $3, 750 and then he decided not to file the default altogether! When you are fighting for your child- and you are told things are almost over while you are missing months of his life- this is UNACCEPTABLE.

I am now having to fight to recover any remaining part of the retainer and obtain a billing statement.

I work hard, often in excess of 10 hours a day and make nothing near the $300 something an hour James M. Levy is making. It's pretty sorry that someone who claims to be an advocate for families would provide this kind of lousy service.

I would NOT recommend James M. Levy for anyone who seriously wants to take care of their family. I discovered there are many complaints against Attorney James M. Levy and his Law firm. He advised me to give false sworn testimonials in court to ?win? the case? This crook is outright criminal?. A unethical lawyer like Levy should have his Bar license revoked?!
