Poor customer service. Paid for and have been provided with incorrect document. No response despite emails and telephone calls.

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Intertek. I specifically requested a detailed and technical analysis of the composition type of paraffin, including the precise formula and percentage breakdown of ingredients. What I received in return was a vague, non-technical response that completely failed to address my request or provide any meaningful information.

I paid €1,000 for a service that I believed would be handled with scientific rigor and professionalism. Instead, not only was the result unusable, but my formal complaint was also dismissed without genuine review or accountability. I feel misled and deeply dissatisfied — both by the quality of the analysis and by the company’s refusal to stand behind their work.

Given this experience, I strongly caution others against relying on Intertek for specialized or formulation-related testing. The lack of transparency, responsiveness, and technical accuracy has been unacceptable.

I wish I read these reviews before we hired them for certification. They were good in the beginning but they charged us for travel expenses $3200. The auditor was coming from FLA to our facility. I fired them and hired a new company - I even told the guy where to eat and didnt realize we pay for that too!! Should of told him to eat at Popeyes!!! PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM

Appalling company, from what I can gather they pay their employees peanuts, which results in only having inexperienced people, which results in poor service. I will never use again.

My experience with Intertek in the UK has been disappointing due to their lack of attention to detail and inconsistent service.

Poor, poor service and customer relations. Their communication is terrible and accountability and delivery on their side is non-existent. Our 4 year contract is up with them and we would never re-hire them.

Terrible company. Don't respond to emails or website enquiry forms. Now going to use a different company. Don't waste your time with them, over priced and useless

Never use them! I spent £90k on certification, only to receive certificates with standards that expired two years ago. Despite my efforts to get an explanation from Intertek, I've had no luck. Their customer service and after-service are nonexistent, with weeks passing before any acknowledgment of complaints and months without updates. It's unbelievable that this company still operates. Avoid them at all costs. Legal action to recover my money is imminent. Unbelievable!

The servers and services are down from 7July inclusive and today 16 July 2023 still down. No public info for clients. We don't know if Chinese or Russia attacked them or encrypted their data. Lack of IT security investments for years. Just profit, make profit, fill in the pockets. We wait for bankruptcy...

Doesn't answer the phone. Website is down. Doesn't respond to emails.

Disappointing
we have tried to do some testing and experiments based on our projects from them but they were too late to reply and when they replied they couldn't any of the experiments nor reply on time later I went to catest.co this is a China based company that really had the best prices that I could find and they finished the job with under 2 weeks. They really did all that i requested for the 1/10th of the price here in US

We tried to enlist the assistance of Intertek for a project requiring independent analysis.
After 3 months of emails & 'phone calls, most of which were not acknowledged, we are no further forward.
We don't know if their lack of communication is by design or incompetence.
Because of the sensitive nature of our enquiry we now wonder about the impartiality of this company.

I have given up trying to chase up Intertek for a quote requesting their services for some physical testing. We held a short meeting, they said they would get back to me with a quote and they haven't bothered. I followed up with them trying to give them another chance but they have failed to respond. Disappointing and unprofessional.

This company is shockingly appalling. I have never, ever, experienced such incompetence. I truly hope you avoid them.
Need testing services? Try i2Fast or Eurolabs, or one of the other companies, not these guys.
