IMO Car Wash - Oldbury Anmeldelser 35

I am absolutely devastated and angry after using the IMO Car Wash in [Oldbury] today (4th June).
While my vehicle was inside the automated wash bay, their machinery completely failed and stalled multiple times. The on-site worker had to repeatedly enter the bay and explicitly instructed me to reverse to try and reset the machine. I followed his direct command, but because the machine had cut out, the stationary side brush caught my passenger-side wing mirror violently snapping the internal metal spindle and pulling the mounting base right out of the car door panel.
To make matters worse, the worker then tried to falsely accuse me of braking inside the bay to shift the blame away from their faulty machine. The car wash went completely to waste as the vehicle wasn't even cleaned properly, and I am now left with an unsafe car held together by heavy-duty tape for a major trip to London tomorrow.
Customer service phone lines are completely unresponsive. I have logged a formal complaint via Resolver and contacted the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI/CWA), as well as Driven Brands' executive legal team. I will absolutely never use IMO again. Look at your CCTV and machine logs from today and contact me immediately to pay for my professional garage repairs and a full refund. I am also prepared to take this to court .

Windows were not cleaned well enough, lots of marks left on them, despite the top level car wash being chosen.

The car washes here are not cheap. Increasingly I am noticing that the effort devoted to the pre-wash is highly inconsistent. It seems that if you are male or a mate of the personnel, then you merit a thorough pre-wash. If you are a middle aged female, then you are not afforded the same courtesy. Today I paid for an Ultra HD car wash, as usual. My pre-wash consisted of a minute long jet wash without any foam and a cursory swipe with the brush on the car rear. The man in front of me paid for a triple foam wash ( half the price) and his car received a thorough prewash with foam. I am considering ceasing my custom here as the service is not good (or fair) enough. I think I would get better value for money elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, the staff are pleasant enough but they are not giving customers equal quality of service.

Paid via pre pay and the process was very easy. Good quality wash, happy with results.

Feel that no time is really given to prewash and my tyres looked like they had no been done - better to go to a hand wash - friendly service though

Car wash was faulty. Cycle started stopped half way and reset and told.me to leave.

My wing mirror cover snapped off , no apology from the guy working there

Not thinking, and possibly being transported to the 1990s in my mind, I switched off my engine as I entered the automated car wash, and my brakes came on automatically. The attendant helped me to get my car back on track, without causing any damage to the car wash or my car. 🙏🏾

Quick and easy although when I got home I noticed my tyres were still dirty

Automatic but before entering staff is making pre-clinning of wheels and whole car what making car shining after everything. Definitely recommend

My experience was good. The QR code to pay makes the experience quicker and the staff are friendly. Once on the conveyor belt the washing process is quick and efficient with the result of a clean car afterwards

This is the best car wash I have seen. Complete with prewash before hand, it is good value for money

I booked carwash urgently after finding Sahara Dust on my black car which doesn’t look attractive so I got on the IMO App booked /paid for the carwash I wanted.

Third time now that the operator selects a standard wash when I have paid for a premium wash at my local imo car wash. Take care folks they are ripping you off.
UPDATE : After contacting customer support they have refunded the wash and given me a ceramic wash as compensation.
