Lovely kitchen shame about the service
Lovely kitchen once in, shame about the costumer service. I had a lady called Natalie design my kitchen. I told her a few times the layout needs to remain the same as its a housing association house. Trusting she heard and fulfilled my request. I didn't look at the design on my phone with a magnifying glass. Not until installed, the builder following the design, I saw the drawers are on the opposite side of the kitchen (why that was so hard to listen to...) Natalie's reply was "I should have checked the design", lying saying she even showed me on the computer in store.
Then had a phone call from builder to say the glass cabinet on the design and INVOICE is missing. Natalie said she forgot to tell me that when we changed over the kitchen, that this one did not come with a glass door cabinet. Although when I was in the store I stood by, and I pointed to a glass door cabinet and asked her if mine looked like this and she replied "Yes" so I took a photo of it. They sorted it out by sending another cabinet free of charge (APPARENTLY) that doesn't match the other cabinets.
Then another phone call when the builder had finished to say there's no filter just an outside filter. Again I told Natalie I cannot drill holes into the external walls as it's an housing association house.
A filter has been sent to me, but now the kitchen is complete and builder moved onto another job. I have an extractor with no filter.
The design given after we changed the kitchen and the kitchen plan I was provided with, has LED lights showing. When I emailed Natalie telling her the LED lights on her "design" were not delivered, she told me it was removed when we changed the kitchen. So are we following the design you provided or not..... I've called and asked to speak to the manager 3 times and it's been a whole week and Alex the manager is yet to call me back....

Products are good / Staff need training
Howdens products are great.
Howdens website is lacking massively.
Staff don't listen to what you want and this can be challenging.
They keep saying they have no appointments for 2 weeks.

The tolerance on your units is very poor. 3mm out in some cases.
I have complained about this before but you clearly ignore it.
Revised pricing structure has not been advertised.

I’ve, used Howdens (north watford) for many years now, I fit a lot of kitchens but also internal and external doors, I find the customer service to be fantastic. I find all the staff at the branch I use extremely helpful and friendly, also on the occasion i go to a different branch the service is also very good.
The product range is extremely wide with prices to suit all customers budgets, and availability is always very good.
Any enquiries I get I recommend Howdens and in return Howdens put my name forward as an installer and due to this I have been exceptionally busy even during the Covid lock downs.
Thank you Howdens and keep up the good work.
