Howdens - Fareham Anmeldelser 

Howdens price matched DIY Kitchens for our order, where we'd chosen premium drawers. And emails to howdens stating that we wanted the more premium drawes. What's arrived is a mix — 14 standard drawers against only 5 premium — nowhere near the spec we were matched on, and some of the "premium" units are inferior to DIY Kitchens' own standard range.

Weeks in advance, we asked Howdens to change our delivery date and were told firmly this could not be done. So we booked our kitchen fitter around the confirmed date. Then, at midday on the day of delivery itself, Howdens called to postpone it anyway, with no warning. By then our fitter was no longer available, forcing a DIY install. When we raised this, Howdens' response was that we'd wanted the date changed, which is completely irrelevant and disregarded us completely.

Multiple Decor End panels arrived damaged, one panel was missing, and a Tall Wall Cabinet turned up with only one Decor End panel fitted instead of two.

Howdens have now offered to supply the correct premium drawers, but at a cost of £953.95 to us. This is not acceptable. The mismatch was their error under a price match they agreed to, not ours, and we should not be charged to receive what we were originally promised.

For a kitchen sold on a premium price match, this has been a stressful, disjointed experience. Still waiting on a proper resolution.

From start to finish Rhia the kitchen designer visited our bungalow, measured up and designed a plan which we later discussed at the office. We were on a tight budget and Rhia helped us achieve the best we could with various suggestions of where we might be able to make savings without compromising on the quality of the kitchen. Having previously purchased a Howdens kitchen, we went for fitted bedroom furniture this time. Rhia was very helpful with hints and tips throughout the design and ordering process and we have been delighted with the result. We would certainly used Howdens again.

Professional friendly service from Kirstie Cozens from the first call to her visit. She listened and guided us through the process. She was very helpful when there were minor issues which were dealt with swiftly.

Rhia at Howdens Fareham did an amazing job designing our kitchen. We had very specific requirements regarding cupboards to a non-standard ceiling height, an extra large cupboard in a challenging utility room space and a raised breakfast bar that flowed with the worktop. Rhia knew instantly how to solve our problems where others had failed and worked with our builder to achieve the finished look. So delighted with our finished kitchen and utility! Used to deal with Howdens when I worked before retirement, always found them to be excellent to deal with so had no issues with going to them for a new kitchen in our extension at home. We dealt with Kirstie (Cozens) at the Fareham branch. She couldn't have been more helpful, professional and patient in her approach. The plan she came up with was exactly what we were looking for and one year on we couldn't be more pleased.

Kirsty and the team at Fareham made renovating our kitchen a pretty straightforward project.
Probably most importantly, they allowed us to develope our initial ideas instead of pushing us down a particular route (but still gave us options/solutions when needed).
Quality of the units seems great and they were able to work closely with our fitter for little tweaks and variations during the installation.

This was our first time using Howdens, and I honestly can’t praise the experience highly enough – it’s been absolutely brilliant from start to finish. We are thrilled to bits with how the utility room has turned out.
