Howdens - Cardiff Anmeldelser 

3 stars as the finished kitchen is great. Trouble with service all the way though from wrong measurements, wrong items delivered, items missing, items damaged, over supply of items ( and therefore over charged) and slow refund on those. Failure to return calls, missed delivery and collection dates. Incompatible oven (solution found with our fitter) staff were pleasant and admitted issues at all stages but the company needs to get its act together.
Update 6/3 still delighted with the kitchen so the pain is wearing off! Added an extra star..

Email Howdens on the 11th December, 2022 (received confirmation). No response to this day (4th Jan, 2023).

We initially had 2 major issues with our delivery.

As a result of these errors, our project is now facing delays and we face further financial costs to our project - this is totally unacceptable.

1. Received incorrect corner larder unit
This is not the larder unit that we chose.
Nor is this the larder unit shown in the 3D mock-up. Then the wrong shelving was sent out for the larder units too.

2. Additionally, we are incorrectly being invoiced for the correct unit being sent to us. You get invoiced for their mistakes - shocking.

3. Received incorrect draws units
Our design has always considered a gas hob being placed within the kitchen worktop at the end of the peninsula - The 3D mock-up shows evidence of this
The draws delivered do not allow for the gas hob to be installed.

The gas hob was communicated as our #1 priority for our kitchen design.

It was suggested that we either have dummy draws or half-depth draws to allow for the space required.
Half-depth draws were chosen, as a result. Half-depth draws were never delivered.

4, 5, 6 etc. - these issue were part of of initial contact via email on 11th December, 2022. Over the past 4 week, there have been countless more issues that have honestly been an embarrassment.

Based on this experience, we would not recommend anyone to use Howdens (or bother contacting them via email if there are any issues).

Always excellent customer service friendly polite and delivers what is required to build the perfect kitchen.

I ordered sets of hinges and mortice door knobs online. The order still wasn't complete a fortnight later and when I phoned up to enquire about this the girl on the phone said the person who was processing the order had left the company without completing it. Later, when I went down to collect the order they couldn't find the hinges. In fairness they substituted the hinges for better ones, and the quality of the hardware is first rate.

I have been dealing with Howdens at Unit 7, Jubilee Trading Estate, East Tyndall Street, Cardiff CF24 5EF, for many years. I am a Property Developer by trade and the issues this business has created for me in the last few weeks have been shocking. The manager confirmed with me that he is happy with a payment plan (in the thousands) to settle some recent work I had done. This is normal for me when conducting work on this scale. However, I then received a shocking letter from the courts listing out fines I must pay, or further court fees will be added, and I may need to attend court myself. I assumed this had to be an error, but no the manager had then said he wasn't aware of this agreement that he had made. I am assuming he just didn't let the finance department know and now this is something no one wants to own up to. Finally, I still had to pay the fee and settle my remaining balance with the store in full, which I did.

Howdens did not measure my kitchen correctly one wall was 40 cm shorter than its actual size, this put the whole kitchen out of alignment items had to be moved around to "fit" so doors could open I have been left with a kitchen that looks nothing like the plans and is not functional and Howdens accept no responsibility. This is on top of the wrong items being delivered and having to wait weeks for items to come in, shocking service and company. Be Warned

Disappointed in the many cslls unanswered by this branch , takes hours sometimes to get through , Saturdays are impossible as the engaged tone goes on at 11:46 …not acceptable tbh

Well what can i say, i've been using this branch of howdens for over 10 years, and Paul and the team have always offered me the best service and such a fast turn around, Martin the on road sales rep, is always there for me when i need a measure. Fast turnaround kitchens, great service, great price !

Howden done a good job and am really happy with the service I received. A happy satisfied customer!

Recently purchased a kitchen. As always, under extreme pressure to take delivery before I actually need it with the usual threat of imminent price hike despite having a quote with validity beyond the required delivery date. And then as as usual, delivery incomplete and still chasing two weeks down the line.

Really happy with the service at the new Leckwith depot, the staff have been very helpful there. Naomi specifically as I have dealt with on a few occasions now and she's been very polite and professional.

Leckwiths depot is not in the drop down list to select them

Good kitchen products. My experience was spoiled greatly by poor delivery with many items missing, incorrect items delivered and damaged parts especially unit doors.

The whole thing took far longer as a result. Kitchen ordered end of November and completed in January. Finally sorted with returns and credits in February.

The kitchen designer was very good and the end result was excellent. Just a shame there were so many problems along the way, which drove up fitting costs and fitting time as a result. Really felt there should have been some dispensation for all the hassle.
