What can I say about Howdens in Basildon, Dean Mizen was super helpful in designing our dream kitchen. We originally had a design done by Wren but Deans keen eye made our kitchen even better than we could imagine.

Solid products and customer service from everyone at the Basildon center.

To me the Guy that served me made it difficult for no reason , I could not remember my password which was in the end verified by my mobile , which could have been done in the 1st place , when I asked why he said that people could spend on the account, at which point I told him it was cash only

The kitchen sales person measured the kitchen incorrectly,, and also gave the customer the price. Without my say so.
This caused no end of problems for me, as I then had to tell the customer that that would have to pay more money because of the errors by the sales person.
Also meant that I couldn’t make any money on the price of the kitchen!
It continues as after the kitchen was ordered, quite a bit was not in stock and I had to go to 2 different branches to pick up the other stuff only to find that when I went to a branch that was 30 minutes out of my way, my branch had already picked up the item, I needed without my knowledge!
Very disappointed with the service.

They sell diferent what should be.

Always a friendly and helpful service from the basildon crew, especially the manager Steve day.

Called and arranged what I needed over the phone the day before. Went to collect the next day and order was wrong and I had to travel well out my way to another store to collect which made me over a hour late for my job customer was not happy as she was waiting to go to work.

Received great service from Zowie. My Oven stopped working. She owned the problem. Replaced faulty oven and collected old oven. Old fashioned great service 👍

Steve came a measured up which was great .
Zoe dealt with the after sales which was fab she could not do enough for us , she was fantastic, would highly recommend Howdens .

I have never written a review about a company but I owed it to the staff at howdens Basildon to write a review as I have been so so impressed.
The price…. Unbeatable and really showed that they wanted my business.
My first sit down appointment Connie was assigned to help plan my kitchen and what a star she was, any questions I had dealt with instantly, any special request I asked for sorted for me straight away.
I had to contact howdens as I thought I had made a mistake with my oven (ordering gas not electric) and got the pleasure to speak to Zoe, what a lovely polite lady she is and dealt with everything there and then. Everytime she said she would call back she did and came back with the correct answers, there isn’t nothing you can not ask this lovely lady that she won’t find the solution or answer for.
My partner had to attend howdens to have a look around and confirm colours of units and worktop designs and she had to attend with two children a 1 year old and a 3 year old and the high praise she gave to me about the staff with my children made me so pleased. They greater her amazingly sat her down and spoke to get and showed her all the designs and colour were extremely polite to my children and even got out colouring books and crayons for the children to keep them occupied.
I could not rate howdens and it’s Basildon employees more highly and need to give every member of staff a massive thank you for all the help they gave myself my partner and my kids.

If you looking for super fast and most professional service - Steve Day at Howdens Basildon is the person you must look for.
Steve designed and supplied my 2nd kitchen - 10 years apart, but his service since my 1st kitchen didn't change - same supper professional approach to his job!

We were having some building work done and wanted a really high end kitchen at good value. We decided that Howdens was the right place to go having shopped and looked around. Then we came across Steve Day who is the branch Manager at Pipps Hill, Basildon.

Steve was fantastic from the off providing a wonderful service not just in terms of coming round and measuring up because his team were all busy, but also offering tips and insights that only an experienced person would be able to recommend and offer for us. Steve was the deciding factor and an easy decision. Steve was attentive, gave us lots of time and given we were going via a contractor anyway, treated us as individuals on top of very busy and senior role running the branch.

It's clear Steve’s very experienced in kitchens and Howdens full stop. His ability to offer the additional value add surprised us in in the most positive way. Nothing was too much trouble. Steve was always on the end of a phone, Steve was always available for conversations and with any building project there's always nuances that that detract from the original plan. Steve was always there, he replied quickly, he put his team on to fixing these things I cannot say what a wonderful service not only on behalf of Howdens but Steve in particular provided on a number of occasions.

I had to go back to Howdens to get the builders some bits on a couple of occasions and when there I witnessed fantastic leadership from Steve with his team, fantastic customer service, offering a similar level of interaction and service to other end customers, not just trades. Steve really understands how to provide a high end high performing service; building a high performing ad functioning team and really following the values he believes Howdens should offer out to their contractors and customers. Thank you Steve you made a highly stressful experience a lot less stressful and we cannot thank you or recommend you enough on business level and personal level.
