Homebase - Newton Abbot Anmeldelser 

Do not buy a kitchen from Homebase. It has been a terrible and expensive experience with no direct contact to explain when they will deliver the worktops to go with the kitchen units, no taps or knobs either. The kitchen units have been sitting in my home for two weeks, the kitchen fitters, which were booked up for months ahead, are currently about to fit the kitchen and we have had to go elsewhere to buy the worktops . Communication from Homebase has been almost zero, and when the original contact has been in touch I feel we have just been fobbed off. Each time I have had to contact homebase. I was told that there was no problem and the worktops were in stock, then when I phoned again I was told that they were not in stock but would be arriving by the 20th. Then finally on the 20th I was told that I would need to get a different worktop. I asked if the taps and door knobs could be delivered over a week later they had still not arrived either. I am also left with a lot of panels costing £600 which were not needed but I have paid for. I now also have to pay for them to be taken to the tip as they are too big for me to move, Terrible customer service after spending over £8000.

Just to say that we went to the Newton Abbot store and there was a lady there called Sarah who was so patient with us when we were trying to choose a paint to be mixed. She was really friendly and helpful. In fact most of the staff there are very nice. The store itself is a bit neglected but we are glad that we have a local Homebase. Thanks!

I recently had dealings with Amy, the Manager at Newton Abbot who was really helpful and went out of her way to assist me and as a result I spent more than I expected! She is a real credit to Homebase and I would recommend the store to people in Devon.

We were trying to source bathroom tiles. Homebase in Newton Abbot only had 9 boxes in stock. Amy was extremely helpful in sourcing the extra 8 boxes we needed to complete our project. She called two other stores within a 50 mile radius to find them. She went above and beyond to secure our order.

Our package was delivered well and on time.

They put a sticker on the box which left scratches when I carefully tried to take it off. That is just not on. I'm very disappointed as I travelled from Plymouth to Newton Abbot to get the box. The person who did that should be told so they are aware for future collections. 👎☹️

I have to add though that Homebase has contacted me on the phone and has issued a refund. That's not what I wanted as I really like the box but it shows their good intentions and it's appreciated. Thank you Homebase. 👍🙂

Customer service is always great but the baskets I bought were ‘rammed’ one inside the other, the basket liners were crushed and the paint on the metal baskets is scuffed and scratched. Two baskets were rammed together so well that it wasn’t easy to get them apart!

We were kept well informed about our item and delivery. The delivery people were really good and very friendly. Everything was straightforward.

I used the click and collect service and on arrival my order was ready on a trolley for me to take and put in my car! I was quickly in and out the store!

Good value boxes bought online, very helpful staff, overall very happy!

Item was on the sale, but at no time was informed it was damaged. Had a toe missing and colour had come off in parts. Very disappointing!!!

I went to my local store to buy some sample pots of paint Having decided on one, I went back to purchase it only to be told it was no longer stocked. I asked the lady on the till why they didn't remove samples of paint they didn't stock and she said "oh we keep telling them that"!! I resent wasting time, and money on petrol and paint so will go elsewhere

Order was ready and a lovely person helped me to get the item in the car. Click and collect was really easy.
