Homebase - Haringey Anmeldelser 

One of your manager in Homebase Haringey was really rude and arrogant on my opinion and His name is “Asif Patel”.

It happened last saturday July 13, 2024 at around 2 PM when I need to pick up my order online. I was standing on the customer service desk and there he was doing something in front of the computer pretending that he don't see me, I wait for at least 30 seconds before I approached him with greetings of Good afternoon and He just look at me, so I said if I can collect the item that I ordered online. He said that he needs my photo ID straight away without any greetings, I found it really rude and disrespectful. Now I try to explain to him that I bring only the bank card that I used to pay on that item, and He replied while his two hands are moving(means like No) that he doesn't like that conversation and he cannot give the items to me without showing my photo ID. So I ask his name and he try to show his ID like flip it over for a second and I did not see anything while telling me that Im not allowed to take the picture of his ID. So I ask him to spell it for me his name with a “please” but instead “He said that he is one of the manager(in which I did not ask of). He is really arrogantly talking to me. He is so proud with his position. He is trying to give me a piece of paper with his name on it and I said I don't need it as I write it on my mobiles note.

So I left the customers desk and He is still looking at me and while Im talking to my wife, that Guy, asif is still looking at me with his other colleague , it seems like he is looking for trouble?!. After a while I heard one of the customers in which he is talking as well, shouting on the floor while he is about to leave the store and says “ DO NOT GIVE IT TO HIM” while laughing and I looked to your manager asif with a big eyes looking at me (with his colleague besides him). I think they are looking for trouble. Very very unprofessional! Never come back on that store again.

This store is extremely dirty, I asked the store assistant if the store was closing down and was shocked to hear that it wasn't. It's become so run down, unclean and routinely find empty stock bays, prices removed and or not displayed. Clean it, stock it or close it, don't waste customers time coming to it to find it in that state.

I hope I’ve spelt his name right but Umish at the store was amazing! So helpful, so chatty, a real asset to your store. We had a long conversation about radishes as this is about the only seed I’ve managed to grow from seeds so far this year, and he even went as far to offer me a recipe to try and make with them!
He was truly delightful and I cannot praise him enough, life definitely needs more people like him! He single handedly made my experience in your store!

I found a product online and it was at a better price than the other shops selling them! So I did a stock check and there were 4 available in my local branch (Haringey) so I purchased online for click and collect and was told it would be available by 10am which was perfect as I needed it that day as my old one had given up the day before! Then at 9.30 I get a call to say it is out of stock!! So I asked how if the system shows 4? I was told a system error and that I would get a refund? I was not happy as paying online it had taken the money and I’d need to wait a few days for it to appear back in my account!! So after slamming down the phone I got in the car to go to another DIY shop and just as I got close I got another call saying my click and collect was available to collect?? So I asked are you sure as I was told my order was cancelled since there was no stock? I was told it was available and ready! Anyway I did get my item and the guy was very apologetic HOWEVER I was very close to buying from elsewhere that would have meant going and returning it as it was at an increased price…

Disappointing... they don't deliver on the date stated and no phone call to let you know. This order was made at the Haringey store with arranged delivery for June 10th 2025. We had booked the builder so had to buy the shower tray. I called to cancel the shower tray just to learn that it came on 25th June 2024. I struggled to arrange for items to be returned as they don’t pick up the phone. Then to return is another ordeal as it needs to be booked. It was booked for 2nd Jul only nobody to show up to pick up the items - so we still have them and not needing them. They are distracting the renovation work. I have emailed yesterday but no answer and called to get a voicemail that the message is full and cannot record my message…. Disappointing service

Great fast efficient service

Ordered online from Haringey 40 packs of tiles as was showing in stock. Paid. Next day was called and told they had only 4 packs. then was called again and told only 2 packs short and more on the way. Picked up tiles thankfully full order but no invoice. Umesh in store was helpful. Store told me to go online and request from customer service. Did so and was told that a request would be made to head office to email me a vat invoice. Such a long and time consuming process for a vat invoice, surely it should be provided to customers as standard like most competent businesses!

I paid £6 for next day delivery but their delivery partner Yodel did not deliver my order until a week later. And kept given false delivery notice. What a waste of time.

Mahmoud was the one customers services advisor, who spoke professionally and was very polite. He mixed the paint colour and guided me with matching a colour sample,I had.
Brilliant. A fine role model.

I ordered a tin of paint online for a click and collect.

My husband collected the paint the following day together with the confirmation text. He had a 10 mile round journey but was told he needed photo id. My husband is elderly and did not have the id on him. I spoke to the customer assistant explaining I could not upload the id as my husband has a very old phone.
So, as the customer assistant didn't use his discretion and ask his manager for authorisation, my husband had to make another journey to collect his driving licence. He kept on quoting "company policy".

Finally got the paint but am furious at the way the matter was handled. Don't have this problem with Toolstation or Screwfix.

I ordered only some plants and pots. Unfortunately, there was only one of my orders. I received a call soon after placing the order to inform me about the stock. When collecting the goods, the teller was very polite and helpful with the purchase.

All staff who dealt with me were very helpful. I was looking for something else as well as the Click and Collect item. Everyone was very friendly.

Click and collect was easy and speedy. Everyone was really helpful :-)

Nice and easy when it’s our turn. However, there is only 1 desk for click & collect as well as return and information so when there is a problem, the other have to wait a long time.

Ordered a bathroom seal on click and collect service.
Collected the item and took it home ( 4 miles away), unpacked it and found out they had supplied the incorrect seal. Travelled 4 miles back for them to swop for the correct item. Careless.

Went out of my way to go to store to pick up items ordered on vlivk and collect. They only had half the items and said donrone had forgotten to phone me. Store was understaffed and disorganised as usual whils i waited 25mins to be told they dont have theitems. No apology.

Staff were helpful, one item had a defect and he tried to solve the problem
