Homebase - Birmingham Selly Oak Anmeldelser 

Very conscientious, curious and helpful member of staff, Sheridan. Never too much to ask her for help.

We found it difficult to find items because of lack of floor staff. The day was saved by Sue on the till who was really friendly and helpful directing us to the item we needed .

Once again the order I placed on Sunday for a Planter, this time at Selly oak went wrong. The planter I ordered at Kings Heath at the same time was not in stock despite the website stating they had one so I ordered and paid for it. The other one at Selly Oak was cracked inside the pot when my wife went to collect it. Unbelievable. Two wasted journeys. I’ve lost faith with Homebase. I’m sure they will say sorry but how do you recompense customers wasted time and effort . Now waiting for 2 credits.
Disappointed to say the least.

Homebase is the very best place to shop to improve your home with good products at very good prices. It gives your home a fun experience.

Unfortunately I don't really rate homebase so well these days as I think they try and be all things, with having different things in-store, like habitat etc so they lack in the DIY department and their lighting dept is quite poorly stocked and you can very rarely find a member of staff to help and if you've gone upstairs to the bathroom or lighting dept you've got no chance.

I was served by a lovely lady Soraya. She went above and beyond when helping me with my return. Very kind and so polite. Every time I go in there she always smiling and it's always so nice to see her.

A gentleman called Dave helped me by fetching a trolley and loading up 3 bags of compost. He also helped to look at other compost around the store. He then loaded it into the car. He was polite and helpful throughout

Someone available quickly to help. Till access immediate. Got everything i needed. Staff helpful. Sue on the till was great

Staff were really friendly, even though I came in ver close to closing time. Very helpful and polite.

I picked up some compost from out the front of the store which said £5 or 3 for £12, i only needed 1 bag so went and paid for it and it came up as £8, carried it and put in the car, and double checked the price and it said £5, went back in and the lady come out with me to check the price, and one of the members of staff had obviously bought out the wrong sign and put it to the compost as there was only 3 piles of compost and the other 2 had the correct signage on it... Shouldn't the price have been honoured as it was your staffs mix up? I know its only £3 but it's the principle, I've worked in Retail for 34yrs and that's always the way I've known it to work, Basically it came across as I should have read the signage properly, but when your in a rush and the description is a lot smaller then the pricing that's all I saw!!

Product was waiting for me as promised. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Always a pleasure to shop at Selly Oak branch of Homebase

Staff pleasant as usual. However items in the garden centre are poorly labelled - this is particularly concerning the outdoor pots. I had to do a price check at the till before purchasing. I would have purchased more at the price however the walk back to the garden centre was far and I had to leave.

Value for money. Good service. I bought a garden shed in store. Since it was too heavy, they helped me to put it in the car.

Many thanks to Dave who works on the shop floor. He has helped me several times and is always friendly face which goes a long way when you need DIY help.

The lady on the till was amazing but the lady on the customer service desk was a little unhelpful . I ordered white a big item and wanted to use the stroller ladie on customer services wouldn't let me have it which wasn't good service as how long would it have took to get another one when I'm the customer and it's pouring with rain . But any way fab customer service off the lady on the till I didn't get her name but thank you

I wanted to buy a lawnmower, and was helped several times by an employee, Sheridan. Although she was busy setting up a nearby display, she was friendly and helpful every time, and never made me feel like a nuisance; in fact she went out of her way to help me. As a result, I was able to buy a lawnmower that suited my needs.

Easy to order. Was notified more less straight away.
