I booked an Apartment in Gran Canaria and it was a complete nightmare. The Apartment had mold in it (not just a little) and when I informed them they did nothing about it... WOW
I informed airbnb and they opened a case against me claiming I didnt return an extra key (wich I never got) and broke a piece of furniture asking me to pay for damages (The entire apartment was already in horrible shape)??? LOL
These people are literally scammers and lying to me

Jag kan bara hålla med all tidigare recensenter. Vi hyrde en lägenhet i PLD i 2 veckor och upptäckte att badrummet var felbyggt. Utanför dörren till duschen var en kommod med handfat monterad. Detta betydde att den inte gick att komma in i duschen om man inte var trådsmal. Ringde varje dag och blev lovad att de skulle återkomma vilket aldrig hände. Alltså 2 veckor utan dusch! Kunde duscha några gånger hos vänner i närheten. Har skickat ärendet till konsumentverket i Sverige som handhar ärendet nu.
Alltså återigen, varning för att boka med detta bolag. Det finns andra seriösa.

Compared to some of these reviews it seems harmless but we are in a property for a month and we are in our late 60's so don't party all night long

Home2Book - Nein danke!
Der Service von Home2Book antwortet zwar schnell bei Anfragen und Problemen, aber leider reagierte hier niemand auf unsere Anliegen. Gebucht war eine Ferienwohnung auf Gran Canaria, ausgestattet u.a. mit "Bettwäsche, Kaffeemaschine, Carport auf dem Grundstück mit zwei Stellplätzen.." Bettwäsche bezog sich auf 2 Kopfkissen, aber es gab keine Bettdecken. Man könnte die (Polyester) Tagesdecken nutzen oder die Microfaser-Wohndecken aus dem Wohnzimmer. Ohne Bezug und ohne Überlaken, wie es auf den Kanaren wohl üblich wäre. Ein NoGo in den aktuell kalten Nächten im Bergland. Handtücher hatte jeder Gast ein kleines und ein großes. Aber es gab keine Gästehandtücher in den zwei Bädern. Man könnte ja eines der anderen nutzen. Hygienisch finde ich das nicht! Kaffemaschine war nicht vorhanden. Ich sollte mal nach einer italienischen Maschine suchen... Ja, nein, "das" ist keine Kaffeemaschine! Es war auch kein Espressokocher... Küchenarbeitsplatte, Schränke, Spüle und Backofen wie Kühlschrank dreckig! Nein, das sind normale Abnutzungsspuren, wurde mitgeteilt. Kratzer würde ich akzeptieren, abkratzbare Essensreste nicht! Im Bad der Zahnbürstenhalter hatte noch Reste vom Vornutzer in sich. Die Schubladen im Bad waren ebenfalls nicht ausgewischt. Hier und dort gab es einfach Löcher in der Wand oder der Zimmerdecke, wo Rohre heraus schauten oder die Löcher mit Zellstoff zugestopft waren. Das Carport war die Terrasse, die erst nach Umräumen der Gartenmöbel auf einen Haufen nutzbar wurde. Die Zufahrt sehr steil, in der Kurve bergauf/-ab mit allenfalls notdürftig betonierter Zufahrt war eine Katastrophe für den Mietwagen (Mercedes A-Klasse). Terrasse futsch, großes Risiko beim Auf- und Wegfahren. Mindestens zwei Personen mussten den (versierten) Fahrer einweisen. Die Außenanlagen waren ebenso verdreckt, der Grill rostig und spakig. Den Whirlpool haben wir uns lieber nicht angeschaut. Urlaub für >1.000 geht anders... Fazit: Service schlecht, Angebot schlecht. Nicht noch einmal!
Falls Sie im Urlaub Langeweile haben....
Wir sind vor 4 Tagen auf Teneriffa angekommen und seitdem bin ich im mehr als regen Mailaustausch bzgl. eines ordentlichen Mülleimers (beim vorhandenen fehlt der Deckel) und der Nachlieferung von 2 Handtüchern.
Nach der Drohung den offenen Mülleimer im Laubengang zu deponieren wurde uns heute angeboten, einen Mülleimer zu kaufen und die Rechnung einzureichen. Da ich nicht davon ausgehe, dass die Erstattung problemlos erfolgt, habe ich das Angebot abgelehnt.
Für mich ist klar, nie mehr eine Ferienwohnung zu buchen, die von home2book verwaltet wird.
3.4. Lieferung von Handtüchern und Müll soll priorisiert werden und heute erfolgen....
die Handtücher wurden inzwischen tatsächlich geliefert, ein neuer Mülleimer jetzt wieder komplett abgelehnt...
nachdem ich vermutlich mit allen Mitarbeitenden Kontakt hatte, belasse ich es jetzt dabei, werde aber bei booking noch eine entsprechende Bewertung abgeben

-El sofá estaba lleno de arena de playa, no lo habían limpiado, tuvimos que hacerlo nosotros. No tenían disponibilidad para limpiarlo
-Las toallas estaban húmedas, las habían lavado y no les había dado tiempo de secar, no había mas toallas y no tenían otras.
-Las esterillas del cuarto de baño no existían, las reclamamos y nos mintieron hasta cuando nos fuimos, nunca nos trajeron las esterillas.
-No les importa los clientes, han cobrado por adelantado. No tienen ni idea de como están las viviendas.
Worst apartment and rent company in Tenerife
We suggest you to stay away from Home2book apartments. They ruined our holidays because we had a cockroach infestation with insects and excrement and they didn't do anything. We decided to leave the apartment because hygien problems and after talked about a compensation they disappeared. Very poor and cheat company
Avoid at all cost
I wish I had read the reviews here before renting an apartment through Home2Book. They lure you in with lower prices, but if you need anything from the company, it always comes with an extra charge. The beds were absolutely horrible, and there wasn’t even enough toilet paper. We asked for one additional duvet set since there were three of us, and of course, they wanted to charge extra for it.
As others have already mentioned, the photos of the apartment looked great, but the reality was a huge disappointment. When you book through platforms like Booking.com, hosts at least try to accommodate you because you can leave a bad review. Home2Book, however, seems to have found a way around that, and they simply don’t care if you’re unhappy.
Avoid them at all costs.

We rented an apartment in Poris de Abona and got completely fooled by the nice pictures. What looked great online turned into a total nightmare once we arrived.
We stayed from September 27th to October 4th. At first, the place seemed okay, but when we tried to lie down in bed, we literally rolled off. The mattresses were so broken and uneven that it was impossible to sleep on them.
We ended up spending the whole week sleeping on the couch, which was absolutely filthy.
We contacted customer support the very next day, but all we got were empty promises and no real help.
Honestly, avoid this company. They lure you in with nice photos and good prices, but they’ll ruin your well-earned holiday.

Wat een verschikkelijk bedrijf. Niet bereid te helpen, alleen maar leugens.
Bij aankomst stond op de oven dat deze niet werkte, terwijl we net voor 60 euro eten hadden gekocht voor te bereiden in de oven. De tussendeur van slaapkamer , bleek het glas zo kapot en stak aan alle kanten met scherpe punten eruit. Levens gevaarlijk, en konden de deur niet gebruiken. Onderste vriezer lade ontbrak..daardoor was alles aangevroren, en lekte veel water op grond, en werd glad. Geen kussens op de tuinmeubels, daar kon je niet op zitten. Broodrooster kapot. Geen strijijzer. Regendouche niet aangesloten. Dagelijks contact gehad, 2x beloofd dat er iemand kwam, nooit geweest. Er werd gevraagd hoe dingen waren stuk gegaan?? Terwijl later in die week bleek dat ze van alles al op de hoogte waren. De ene leugen na de andere. Dit alles was in Caleta de Fuste Fuerteventura. 11.00 uitcheck, toen kwamen om 10.00 de schoonmaakdames al binnen met sleutel. Nu na 4 dagen thuiskomst, nog steeds elke dag contact gehad, dit alles zonder enig resultaat. Nu heeft Booking.com 92.04 gecompenseerd. Fijn dat ze dat doen,..maar n belachelijk laag bedrag voor de toestand die mijn vakantie erg heeft beinvloed. Tevens belachelijk dat je via sites dit bedrijf kunt boeken. VERMIJD TEN ALLE TIJDEN HOME2BOOK!!! Leugens, niet behulpzaam, je word niet serieus genomen.

Warnung: Finger weg! Bloß nicht über diese Agentur Unterkunft buchen!!! Die kunden-unfreundlichste und unkulanteste Vermittlungsagentur, der wir je begegnet sind!!
Wir raten dringend davon ab, über Home2Book zu buchen. Fünf Tage vor unserer Anreise wurden wir über eine laute Baustelle direkt an der Unterkunft informiert – Balkon gesperrt, Fenster mussten geschlossen bleiben, der Balkon voller Staub, Nägel und Bauschutt. Wir mussten Möbel selbst wegräumen! Uns um die Baustelle kümmern!!!
Home2Book zeigte keinerlei Entgegenkommen – keine Ersatzunterkunft, keine Entschädigung, keine Entschuldigung. Die Baustelle war seit Monaten bekannt (Aushang an der Eingangstür) d.h. die Baustelle war vor unserer Buchung bekannt. Sie haben absichtlich gewartet, damit die Stornierungsfrist endet und uns 5 Tage vor der Ankunft informiert. Eine absolute Frechheit!!!
Absolut respektloser Umgang mit Gästen. Die rechtliche Schritte sind im Gange, sowie eine Anzeige in Las Palmas.
Avoid Home2Book at All Costs – Aggressive, Unhelpful, and Accusatory Service

I had the absolute worst experience with Home2Book Reservations during a recent booking for an apartment in the Canary Islands (reserved via Booking.com for August 17-22, 2025). What started as a simple check-in issue turned into a nightmare of poor management, zero support, and aggressive accusations. I strongly warn anyone reading this: do NOT book anything through this company – they don’t help when things go wrong, and they’ll turn on you instead of fixing the problem.
Upon arrival, the key/lock was faulty – it would turn but get stuck, making it impossible to enter or secure the door safely after multiple attempts over half an hour. The apartment was also unclean (a total disaster inside). We immediately called their support line, but it was a mess: the first person promised a callback that never came, and subsequent calls connected us to different staff who knew nothing about our issue. We sent videos proving the problem, but no help arrived in time, leaving us stranded in the heat. We had no choice but to leave and book elsewhere at our own expense.
When we requested a refund, Home2Book refused outright, claiming everything was fine based on their after-the-fact checks. They were incredibly aggressive in their emails, accusing us of lying about the key not working, changing our story (which we didn’t – we just clarified details), and even implying we didn’t like the area instead of admitting their faults. This back-and-forth spoiled our entire holiday with constant stressful messages. As loyal Booking.com users for 10+ years, we’ve never dealt with such dishonesty and lack of accountability.
Booking.com is now stepping in to resolve the refund, but Home2Book’s behavior was appalling – no empathy, no help, just defensiveness and blame. Save yourself the hassle and money: steer clear of this company. There are plenty of better-managed rentals out there!
Mold on the wall - poor handling
Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The listing looked nice and communication was smooth, but the reality was very different. On arrival, we found a full wall in the bedroom covered in mold — clearly not shown in the photos. The host offered no real solution except cancelling the booking, but it was late and we couldn’t find an immediate alternative. We had to spend one night there, sleeping on a small bed in another room to avoid the unhealthy environment. Despite this, we were still charged, and the refund excluded fees. The issue was treated as if it couldn’t have been prevented, but it’s hard to believe such visible mold hadn’t been seen by those who cleaned. Poor handling and no real concern for health. Not recommended.
Terrible experience with Home2book…
On arrival at our apartment the bathroom was not accessible due to a problem with the door lock. Home2book refused to send a locksmith to open the bathroom door unless we agreed to pay a minimum of 70 euros for a locksmith to gain access to the bathroom. We did not agree to this cost as we had paid for an apartment with access to a bathroom. We were without access to the bathroom for the first day of our holiday. Home2book staff guaranteed re-imbursement of the cost we made to a local handyman who eventually got the door opened for us the next day. Home2book did not honour this guarantee, we are still waiting for our payment. We will never book an apartment managed by Home2book in the future. They do not care about their guests and do nothing to help when it is needed.
An outrageous company
We booked directly through FeWo and ended up with home2book. The costs for almost 6 weeks of rent were deducted immediately. Then we didn't hear anything for 6 months and thought we had fallen for a fake site. Ultimately it worked. The apartment was as described and very good (for the price), but they didn't mention that it was on the main street of the town. It was correspondingly loud. Then several defects arose and the employees (there were 12 different ones, never one person who felt responsible or was it the AI?) from home2book reacted in a friendly but snooty manner. If something doesn't work, it's the guests' fault. This is followed by teacher-like, useless instructions but no solutions. If the owner of the apartment hadn't stepped in, we would have had a terrible time in Tenerife. The apartment will cost twice as much next year. Will the guests join in? Hopefully not. Therefore never again with home2book.
Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Do not rent this apartment we had to leave the apartment as we became ill as the bathroom interior was full of mold. We became ill on day 4. We contacted the agency home2book.com and sent them pictures but there was no response. We demanded to have someone look at and evaluate this with us but no one came for the remaining 14 days. Would never book through home2book.com because nothing happens there except receiving money. Had to book a hotel which cost us 3600 euros. We received 200 euros in compensation from the accommodation.
Fraudulent company - their rentals pose life hazards
WARNING: do not book with Home2Book - this is the most horrible studio and rental experience I have ever had! The company Home2Book is dishonest renting at exorbitant prices an apartment (Las Gaviotas - Playa Chica, Tenerife) that is run down, stinking, and simply dangerous (water was leaking on electricity). They also left me waiting in the street for 3h as the flat was not clean /ready - they failed to meet the service agreement as per Airbnb contract. 11 years of using Airbnb - and because of the dishonest practices by Home2Book, the was the first time I had to contact Airbnb emergencies team to help me out!!!!! I had massive problems with this place - equipment was old and broken. Home2Book put my health at risk. Beware and DO NOT rent anything from this company on Tenerife - their practices are dishonest and focused on maximizing financial gains, no care given to quality of services nor safety for the client. I doubt I will return to Tenerife because of this harmful experiences. The Canarian government should look into the practices in the tourism sector: companies like Home2Book bring bad reputation to Tenerife. Canary Islands are on the list of “Where tourists should not travel in 2025” - and surely the saturation of the island (and related problems with home rentals such as the one I expeirenced) add to this sad situation.
