send me the wrong watch and
Hodinkee doing a very rubbish job of sending the wrong watch and seeling at a higher price a few days later. I have to spend my time trying to return it. and they just saying sorry. it's really a shame that this company is a lousy company.
Buyer beware
Buyer beware! I traded two watches in for a Panerai. Initial transaction/trade went fine with good communication. After I received the Panerai, i noticed something *dust* under the bezel near the date and requested to send it back, which I did. one week later they send me email saying they found nothing wrong with the watch and that it would be sent back as soon as I confirmed my shipping address. I responded with my confirmation and received a thank you email saying my watch would ship within 5 business days, almost 10 days later and no tracking number, no responses to my multiple emails or voice mails. Nothing! They now have three of my watches and I have nothing! Do yourself a favor and stay away from these people. I can only assume that when, and if, I receive my Panerai back it will still have the same issue i sent it in with!
Poor communication when selling to them...
Tried to sell them a watch - I accepted their offer. When I had to delay sending by a few days, I asked them if it was okay to do so and I could still use the label they sent me?
They did not respond to various emails sent, so I never sent the watch to them.
Very poor communication in this regard.
I don't want to send a company a valuable item and just hope they will pay me, if they cannot respond to simple emails.
FOLLOW UP:
Days after I posted this message, they responded to me and stated they were overwhelmed. It had been at least 1 week before a response was given. By that time, I had sent the watch to another venue.

Awful, awful, customer service. Text messaged, called and emailed 4 days ago regarding a watch purchase I made and no one could even be bothered to reply.
Avoid at all costs if possible.
The customer service is horrible
The customer service is horrible. I will never buy anything from this online shop again. I was asked to pay extra $ for a fast 2-day delivery but it took them weeks to ship the item. I called customer support and they never got back to me.
Low expections still missed
I initially had a good experience with Hodinkee, I sent in a Breitling to be traded. That went well, got the credit and everything was moving along well. I used my store credit to buy a watch on 10/6. The watch that was sent to me, was the WRONG watch. I contacted Hodinkee and explained and sent the watch back to Hodinkee and was delivered on 10/17. I contacted Hodinkee on 10/20 and asked where the watch was and Meagan A at Hodinkee support said she would WAIT to send me MY WATCH until HODINKEE had cleared up WHY there was a mix-up to begin with. That is totally unacceptable to hold MY watch hostage that I PAID FOR so you can figure out why you cant send the right product in the first place.
It is 10/25 with 0 resolution and 0 contact from Hodinkee.
Poor communications
Terrible service. Ordered watch but it was never delivered, no email explanation or contact from hodinkee. Filed PayPal claim and filing BBB as well. Update. PayPal later helped resolve claim and the product arrived. This type of communication however still is not acceptable.
I ordered the wrong size watch strap…
I ordered the wrong size watch strap for my Omega watch and requested an RMA which I received. I packed up the item to be exchanged and hand wrote a note what size I needed for the exchange. I received a FedEx delivery receipt and emailed it to Hodinkee. It has been over three weeks and not a word back from them. BTW- I sent two emails to customer support. I will shop elsewhere from hence forward!!
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, do not respond to emails. Package looked like it had been run over by a truck, they have yet to respond to my request for credit due to damaged item.

Very slow to reply to emails if they do and unhelpful.
I would never order a watch from them again.
